Chapter 36:
I’m Too OP, So I Decided to Troll My Loli Master Instead of Saving the World
Shortly after his wife’s death, the God War broke out.
The result was unsurprising. Of those who followed him into that war, aside from the traitors, almost everyone died.
After that battle, his descendants were buried in the currents of history. The once-mighty Violet Family dwindled until it was on the brink of extinction.
Lynn exhaled, looking at the terrified girl in front of him with a complex gaze.
Before he "died" back then, he left behind many contingency plans to ensure his bloodline wouldn't perish over the millennium. The Sword Puppet was just one of them.
But times changed in ways no one could predict. The Violet Family was too glorious. When the continent was reshuffled, his family naturally became a thorn in everyone's side. Especially for those Traitors. They wanted nothing more than to exterminate his entire bloodline to erase their own shame.
During the chaotic centuries after his rebirth, Lynn struggled just to protect himself. He couldn't protect his family. It was only in recent centuries that the continent had stabilized...
"A thousand years..."
Lynn shook his head. His gaze landed on Vivian again. So... Is this little yellow-haired girl the only direct descendant left?
Indeed. If the family has withered to this extent, no one cares about them anymore.
Lynn scanned her up and down. No matter how I look at her, I can't see a single trace of my own wise and martial image!
Look at your Ancestor! Look how majestic I am! And look at you...
Lynn’s expression became weird.
Under Vivian’s trembling, wide-eyed gaze... Lynn reached out. He lifted her hair bun to check her scalp. He pinched her cheeks. He pried open her small mouth to check her teeth.
Vivian: (O_O) What is he doing?! Why is he checking me like a lab rat?! Or like a farmer checking a horse's teeth?!
Is he some kind of detestable Loli-con?! No! No way! I am the descendant of the Great Violet Monarch! I have dignity!
Lynn continued his inspection of his great-great-great-granddaughter. He rolled up her sleeves to check bone density. He checked for cavities. He checked if she was nearsighted. He checked if she had bow-legs.
So... She's this low-quality? Tier C at best.
Vivian stood frozen, sweating profusely, scared to move a muscle. But inside, she was dying of shame and indignation.
Finally. Lynn put her down. Then, out of pure curiosity (about potential dragon scales or markings), he reached out and pulled her collar forward to peek inside.
Vivian finally snapped.
"STOP IT!! YOU PERVERT!!"
Vivian screamed in shame. She raised her small hand.
SLAP!
A crisp, loud sound echoed. She gave Lynn a massive slap across the face.
"..."
"..."
Silence. Dead silence.
The Sword Puppet, who had just finished his system reboot and woke up, saw this exact moment.
Sword Puppet: (ΩДΩ) "!!!!"
OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! THAT IS YOUR ANCESTOR!! THAT IS YOUR GREAT-GRANDFATHER!!
You, a descendant, just slapped your Ancestor in the face?! This isn't just disrespect! This is Lightning Strike levels of taboo! The ancestral graves are smoking from the friction of him spinning in them!!
Because the emotional shock was too severe for his old processor... Smoke. Black smoke poured out of the Sword Puppet’s head.
Hic. [ System Crash. Rebooting... ]
Vivian froze. Cold sweat poured down her back like a waterfall.
I'm dead! I'm dead! I just slapped this terrifying existence! If I angered him, Grandpa Puppet and I will be erased from history!
Why are my hands so cheap?! Why did I slap him?! Even if he looked, with my size, there's nothing to see anyway!!
But the rage she expected didn't come.
"Not bad. At least in terms of hand strength, you inherited the Violet Family's excellent genes."
Lynn smiled faintly. He tossed a strawberry into his mouth and chewed.
Vivian blinked. No way... He... He isn't angry?
I slapped him hard! If it were any other big shot, I would have died ten times over! Could it be... Is he a masochist?! (?Д?)ノ
Lynn paced around, chewing. "For the sake of your ancestor, the Violet Monarch, I will let you off the hook this time. But remember, do not publicize my existence to outsiders. Or else..." "The consequences will be terrifying."
Lynn glanced at her. He had no intention of revealing his identity yet. It was meaningless. His plan was to turtle until the Gods descended, then wipe them out. Telling her he was her Ancestor would only bring her danger. It was better for her to live peacefully.
Vivian gulped, trembling under his gaze. "So... who exactly are you?"
Lynn clasped his hands behind his back. He looked up at the sky at a 45-degree angle (the optimal angle for melancholy). He smiled faintly.
"Just a Nameless Person lingering in history. I merely had some interactions with your Ancestor in the past. That is all."
Vivian gasped. "With my Ancestor? Impossible! My Ancestor has been dead for a thousand years!"
Lynn popped another strawberry into his mouth. He glanced at her with a smile. "Yes. But I didn't say I met him now."
Vivian’s mind buzzed. Dealt with the Violet Monarch... That means this person has lived for at least a thousand years! An Old Monster pretending to be young!! (ΩДΩ)!!!
It took Vivian a long time to digest this information. But a being this powerful had no reason to lie to her. She believed him.
Her eyes widened with curiosity. "Then... can you tell me about my Ancestor? What kind of person was he?"
Although she was a descendant, she only knew him through ancient texts.
Lynn paused. He clasped his hands behind his back again. He looked at the sky with a nostalgic, profound expression. The corners of his mouth curled up.
"The Violet Monarch..."
"I can say, without a doubt, he is the Most Handsome, Most Talented, and Most Extraordinary figure I have ever met in my entire life!"
Lynn paced back and forth, looking serious and thoughtful.
"His moral character made me want to kneel in admiration. His strength made me gasp in awe. The first time I saw him, I knew this being was destined to be the Supreme Ruler of the World!"
"He gathered thousands of virtues in one body. His radiance outshone the sun and moon..."
"But despite the countless halos around him, he maintained a heart of pure gold. That genuine, strong personality... no matter where he went, he exuded an irresistible, charming attraction..."
Then. Under Vivian’s dazed gaze...
Lynn spent the next fifteen minutes praising the Violet Monarch. Using non-repeating adjectives. With absolute seriousness.
He praised himself so hard that even Nanako (if she were here) would have blushed and lowered her head.
I see... This young man... is my Ancestor's Hardcore Fanboy (Stan)!
Oh my! Oh my! ( ̄︶ ̄)*
Don't praise him so directly! As his great-great-great-granddaughter, even I feel shy hearing this! It's embarrassing! I should be humble for my Ancestor!
Vivian waved her hands like a shy little snake. ( ̄︶ ̄)*
"Stop praising him! Stop praising him! It's too much! Even if Ancestor came back to life, he would blush!" "Vivian understands now! You are Ancestor's Number One Fan! I get it!~"
