Chapter 20: The final explosion.

At the orphanage, Baron was fighting against midnight witches who had suddenly appeared. Anna came to help in the fight.

A little confused and tired from the last battle, she restrained the witches with her hooks, and Baron used his relic called "steel skin."

Baron crushed the witches' heads and protected the remaining orphans.

Orphan: -What's happening, Mr. Baron?

Baron: -Stay inside the orphanage, go to the infirmary where Nina will be waiting for you.

A Malicious shadow appeared and tore Baron's arm.

Baron (in agony): -Ah, you damned thing... Where did you come from?

Anna defeats the shadow and proceeds to surround the entire orphanage with her hooks.

The two create a wall and manage to prevent the monsters from advancing. The witches, realizing that the Voice of Lust is dead, leave the battlefield, but Anna kills the last remaining ones.

Exhausted, Anna kneels and is helped by Baron and some soldiers who appear to assist.

In the center of the city, Helena and Mary are fighting against the Voice of the Abyss.

It is very strong and summons specters, but they defeat them all and attack the voice.

The Voice of the Abyss then begins to distort the fields and attack from various angles, piercing matter and striking the girls. Helena manages to cut the legs of the horse the voice was riding and lands a blow to its chest.

Voice of the Abyss: -You fight well, woman. I see you are of noble lineage, but I wonder why a descendant of Lith is helping you.

Helena is confused by the voice's words, but continues the attack. Her daggers break, and she takes a very strong punch to the stomach. Fallen, she remains thinking.

Helena: "-Where are Isz and the others... Why did they invade the city...?"

Mary, irritated, attacks the voice, which easily breaks its sword and plunges it into her stomach, but mysteriously she feels no pain and attacks the voice with a punch.

Voice of the Abyss: -You don't know which master Lith serves? I'll refresh your mind by cutting off your head.

Mary laughs and replies: "My mission is different; I see you haven't realized that yet."

The voice looks at Helena and says: -The descendant of the bastards of the royal castle... so that's it... You are more selfish than Lust itself, you want your own pleasure and other people's too hahaha.

I'll put you in your place.

The voice is struck by a strong explosion in the back.

Voice of the Abyss: - What was that now?

Kana: - Excuse me, ladies, I arrived a little late, I hope you'll forgive me for spoiling the party.

Mary: -Kana Boom, it's good that you arrived, we really need your help.

Seeing that there is another knight, the voice summons several spirits and specters onto the battlefield, but directs them towards the center of the city and goes after Helena.

Kana shoots at the voice, causing discomfort but no real damage.

Kana: - I'll have to increase my firepower, but it's too dangerous in the middle of the city.

Some soldiers arrive to provide support, but their bodies are torn apart as they get close to the voice's distortion field.

Seeing the situation and unable to cope, Kana lunges at the voice and has her fingers cut off.

Mary: Kana, get out of there now.

Kana gathers her fingers and puts them in her pocket, saying with a smile: Well... It seems there's no way around it, this guy is strong against all of us.

Voice of the Abyss: -Depraved Lith, she spares not even the blood of her companions, only death will free her from this depravity.

Kana is confused and thinks: "-Lith? Depravity? What are they talking about? Why did she do this to my blood?

Kana then distracts the voice and has part of her stomach wounded by the sword that distorts everything it touches.

Kana: -Ugh, damn it... That blow was quite unexpected.

Kana looks around and sees that everyone has fled and prepares her plan.

Kana: -Damn it... Looks like I won't be able to get out of this hell... I hope Isz and the others escape... Goodbye friends....

The voice grabs Kana's throat and shatters her weapons and legs.

Voice of the Abyss: -I'm going to blow you to pieces, boy, and then I'll go after the traitorous bastards.

Kana: -Traitors? Well... What if I blow myself up first?

Kana smiles and bites the tips of her remaining fingers; instead of blood, sparks fly, and the voice notices something different.

Voice of the Abyss: -I understand... That black on your nails and eyes isn't ink... It's explosive alchemist powder, the barrel earrings are small chain reaction relics... You bastard, hahaha, you got me.

In the distance, several explosions could be seen that, at the same time as killing the voice, exterminated all the enemies.

Alphonse arrives from abroad on a mission, and he and Edward see the explosion.

Alphonse: -What power, what kind of alchemy is this?

Edward, with tears in his eyes, says: -This is Kana's doing, but why would he do this?

Alphonse is very surprised, since he always underestimated Kana for not having refined alchemy or making protective circles, and says: -Who would have thought that guy was so strong.

Before dying, Kana made a circle where the explosion wouldn't spread throughout the city.

With this sacrifice, Kana finished the voices' plan and prevented more innocents and knights from dying in combat.
