#3 Taste of the futuristic world

After reaching the Slicers Hub, Suou and Yuki approaches Kira to tell that they've done their quest. Kira happily congratulates the two because of their first quest completion. But Yuki and Suou, both were kinda irritated that they were sent to do labour work but they didn't show it. Kira suddenly notices the object that Yuki and Suou were carrying.Kira asks, "Oh my, where did you two find this?"Yuki, "eh? Oh, this is..."Even though Yuki wasn't finished replying, Kira says excitedly, "This is a missing object which is prized 10,000 Creds if found and returned. You both just hit jackpot on your first day."Kira pulls her phone out and shows them the prize notice.Yuki and Suou looks at each other as they were shocked of how lucky they got.Kira goes back into the counter and hands two brand new limited slicer edition phones to Yuki and Suou. Kira, "Here you go, you are the only ones who obtained these limited edition phones. No one else came to register today as slicers and as we're in the starter town, to register as Slicers everyone first travels here to register. As a result, you two got yourselves some rare phones."Suou's inner monologue, "I have no idea what these phones can do but I kinda feel happy having such a nice phone. It has a unique look to it."Suou looks at Yuki and finds her also smiling and looking at her phone.Kira, "The quest you two finished has earned you 1000 Creds and finding the lost item has earned you 10,000 Creds. Your total earnings today is 11,000 Creds. These two limited edition phones are 1000 each on special promo costings 1000 Creds each which makes your balance comes down to 9000 Creds. Please claim it by holding your phone above this device here."Suou holds his phone above that device and he hears a notification sound from his phone. Suou, "huh, it's just like scanning QR code but you don't have to scan anything."Kira, "Congratulations on your first earning as slicers. You can now become slicers and all your skills, abilities and every other necessary things are accessible through your phones. Only you can access it so there's no fear of any corruption of your data or anything. Thank you very much for starting as slicers. Hope your journey goes well."Yuki and Suou both goes and sits together in a table in the dining of the slicer's hub. Yuki turns on her phone and the phone automatically scans her while staying in her hand.Yuki got surprised so did Suou. Suou also turned on his phone and it also scanned him the same way.Suou goes through his phone and finds the Creds balance option. Suou, "Oh, the money actually got in even though the phone was turned off!!!"Yuki, "It's a futuristic world afterall." Saying this Yuki also starts going through her phone.Suou, "Okay, I found the quest option on my phone... Hey!!! Shouldn't I get some superpowers or something?"Yuki, "Generally, you should."Suou, "Oi, What do you mean by generally? You said, I'd get powers."Yuki, "I mean, such kind of world always has super natural abilities, magic or other type of powers. I just don't know how it works here."Suou, "Oi, aren't you ashamed to call your self a goddess. You know nothing about anything."Yuki huffs and says, "What's wrong with not knowing about some stuff. You're no one to tell me what to do."Suou, "I want powers. I wanna feel like a superhero. That's why I agreed to this mess in the first place."Yuki, "Patience."Suou, "Keep it to yourself."Yuki, "Shut up."
Yuki huffs and looks away. Then she notices there's a few buttons on the sides of the table. She presses one curiously and it makes a beep sound.Suou, "Oi, what did you do now?"Yuki, "I...I just pressed this button here."Suou notices that there's buttons on his side too.Suou, "Huh! Why are there buttons on a table in the first place."Right then a waiter robot approaches their table. Waiter robot, "Hello, dear Slicers. How may I assist you today. What would you like to eat?"Suou, "uh.....Can we look at the menu first?"Waiter robot, "The table is the menu. Press menu button for menu."Suou looks at the buttons that is on his side and he presses one that seems like a menu button. The table glows up and shows a big menu that can be operated with touch, the table's surface is actually a screen.Yuki and Suou both are amazed and stares at the table with big eyes. Then Suou starts looking at the menu and makes his order by operating on the table menu. Yuki does the same too and they both order the same thing.After they both ordered using the touch screen system on the table that became a screen, the table turned into a table again from screen.Waiter robot, "Order received. Please wait for a very short time." Saying this the robot goes away. Suou, "We didn't have to even tell the order to the robot. Just doing it on the screen is enough."Suou knocks the table. Suou, "It looks and feels like a ordinary table though."Yuki, "Wonder how many crazy things we have to come across in this world."Suou, "How come you know nothing, huh?"Yuki, "I wasn't much interested in anything in this world. So, I didn't learn anything about it."Suou, "Oh, Really? Or Are you just nothing but someone who brags about being a..."The waiter robot arrives with their ordered food.Waiter Robot, "Here is your meal. Please enjoy."Suou & Yuki together, "That was fast!!"
As they scent the aroma of their meals they start eating without arguing anymore. Suou, "umm, why the food is actually so tasty?"Yuki, "It is good."After eating Yuki realises something.Yuki, "Wait, there's something wrong."Suou, "Huh?"Yuki, "I feel like my stomach is full."Suou, "Isn't that normal after a meal you dummy."Yuki, "No. no, no, no, no. I don't feel hunger. And when I eat I don't feel like I'm feeling now!!!"Suou, "uh?"Yuki, "There's something wrong. Is...is it because I came down to the mortal world? Uhhhh.....it can't be."Seeeing Yuki panic Suou realised that he brought down a goddess with him just so that he feel like he won back there.
Suou, "Please, calm down."Yuki, "Calm down? How can I calm down when I'm feeling like this?" (Yuki making stupid faces while panicking)Suou, "okay, okay, okay. It's it's it's totally normal. Don't worry. Maybe because you're in the...uh...mortal world you're feeling what I'd feel. It's totally normal. And look on the bright side, you can now experience what we normally experience."Yuki, "WHY...WOULD...I...WANT...TO... EXPERIENCE...SUCH...STUFF....?"Suou can't think of anything to make her calm down. Right then he presses the order button on the table and orders two cold drinks on the table screen. The waiter robot brings the drinks right away.Suou to Yuki, "Here, drink up and cool yourself down. We're in public so don't make others get suspicious on us, please."Yuki angrily looks at Suou and takes the drink and sips without looking at him.After that, Suou makes payment via his new phone right on the table screen which also has a payment option. After that they both head out of the Slicers Hub.Suou, "It's evening already. We need to find a place to sleep."Yuki, "Sleep? I don't sleep."Suou, "What?"Yuki, "I don't need sleep like you do. So, I don't need to find a place to sleep."Suou, "We'll see about that." (saying that Suou starts walking)Yuki, "What was that?"Yuki catches up to Suou.Yuki, "Don't you ignore my words like that."Meanwhile Suou's inner monologue, "She just felt that she was full after eating. That means she'll experience all human stuff now."Yuki, "Are you even listening?"Suou looks at Yuki and thinks, "Even though I don't care. I still kinda feel bad that she'd go through stuff that she shouldn't even if it's normal for me....Why am I even thinking about her?"Suou, "I know where we can find a place to stay."Yuki, "Huh?"Suou brings out his phone and starts searching for a nearby hotel.Suou, "Even though I don't know anything about this world but the phones here should be able to do stuff that I was able to do in earth. I've seen plenty of technology just on my first day."Suou finally was able to search up a hotel on his phone. Suou, "Ah, got it. See, it's not that hard on a modern world when you have money."Yuki, "I told you I don't need to slee..."Suou holds Yuki's hands starts walking while following the GPS of his phone.Suou is holding Yuki's hand with his one hand and using his phone with another. Suou, "I booked a room just using my phone. I even paid for it. It's 100 Creds a room."
They reach a decent looking hotel after walking for awhile.After checking in their hotel room,Yuki, "I don't need to sleep though."Suou replies with a smirk on his face, "Yes, that's why I booked only one room to save money. The bed seems more than enough for two of us, so don't worry."Yuki rolls her eyes, "hmph"Suou, "I'll go take a bath first. Don't get on the bed without taking a bath!"Yuki, "Whatever shut-in neet. At least you're good at cleanliness."Suou heads into the attached bathroom. Yuki looks outside the window while Suou's at it.After some time, Yuki starts to feel something unexpected in her body.Yuki, "What is this weird feeling? It doesn't feel good at all."After a few minutes,Yuki, "I can't stand it no more."Yuki starts knocking on the bathroom door heavily.Suou gets out in his bathrobe. Suou, "Yo, chill. I'm done."Yuki falls on the floor grabbing her lower abdomen.Suou hurriedly holds Yuki up and asks in a worried tone, "What's wrong? What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?!?Yuki, "It feels like something pushing from my stomach...also something watery. I ca...can't stand it anymore."Suou's worried expression softens and he lets go her at instant.Suou, "Just go use the toilet."Yuki replies being overwhelmed with pain, "uh? But-but I, I...."Suou pulls her up and pushes her into the bathroom. Yuki, "But how do I...?"Suou, "Sit on the toilet like us and go with the flow."Yuki, "H.... how?"Suou, "You'll figure it out." saying this Suou comes out of the bathroom and closes the door.Suou grabs his newly bought phone, jumps into the bed and lies down sideways. Suou, "Seriously, this girl."Suou goes through his phone trying to figure out the way it works.After awhile Yuki comes out of the bathroom.Yuki, "I feel so relieved now."Suou, "Told ya."Yuki, "It's your fault that I have to go through these disgusting things!!!!"Suou, "Ugh, Here we go again." —
