Chapter 2:
Infinite Onion Peel Theory
Journal Entry #2
I completely forgot I had an exam today, until late last night. So I did the tried I had to use the power of caffeine to study for the first time in my life. Never again. My bladder couldn’t stop running sprints faster than Usain Bolt. The amount of times I had to go to the washroom probably made me run over a marathon.
Future me, please don’t do this again. I don’t know how people say that skipping one day of sleep is perfectly fine. I was straight up hallucinating. Even now, I’m on edge because every minor sound sounds like someone saying my name. I even Fell multiple times while walking. It was embarassing having to lean on Nita the entire way to get home. Bless that girl.
Also had trouble focusing. On anything really. Like ^in the exam I would find myself distracted by some random thought, and next thing I know, its 5 minutes have passed. I got lost in conversations. I can’t for the life of me remember anything Nita said on the way home. The clouds made weird shapes, like they were looking at me.
The exam was alright. I think despite my brain little preparation and lack of focus, I will get a decent enough grade. Not enough to not get chewed out, but it is what it is.
I don’t know what else to write. Nothing really significant happened today. Not that I can remember right now anyway. My eyes are closing.
I wasn’t even going to write anything today. I was too tired and wanted to sleep. My journal just so happened to fall of my desk, reminding me about it. In the end, I decided to do it. I need to control at least something in my life. Good habits need to start early. Making excuses from the get go will never lead me anyware. I need to build this discipline. Prevent the rot from settling. The rot, yeah the rot is real bad I tell you. It is that feeling in your brain that screeches and scratches against the folds until you fold and not do whatever you needed to do and you just keep putting it off and then you have another thing you have to do which you also put off because you tell yourself you need to focus on the first thing which you needed to do so you put it off now you have multiple things you put off and it makes you put off another thing andit really builds up and you just feel worse and worse and your heart pounds whenever you think of what you need to do and then you start thinking of the minimum time you need to do to complete the tasks and tell yourself that you are simply resting to improve your mental before you start to work and you are being responsible by alotting the required time but your really not your just bad and you know it you cant control it its just the rot its settling in but even that sounds like an excuse and
WTF is that run on sentence. Yeah I think its clear that I need sleep. If someone archaelogist 1000 years in the future were to find this, they would question the sanity of this era of humans. Hi Archaelogist-san from the future! Or maybe you are alien. Whatever you are, the one reading this, trust me I am not insane. ME NO INSANE. Capish? Oh yeah Capish likely isn’t a word that far into the future. It means understood? with the question mark. Yeah I’m just sleepy. Sleepy enough to contemplate time machines and also
