Xiu's interview

"Welcome back to present time," Kisha waved. "We've now made it through half the teams, 9 minutes worth of footage or so. While I can just sit back and relax as all this was prerecorded, you all will have to wait a bit while we take a commercial break so that I can get some pie. I hear there's country vanilla pastries, so Imma go grab some."

Kisha then got up and headed to the snack bar where Country Vanilla was serving food. She quickly snagged some pie and stuffed her face with it. Before she could go in for another, the production crew called her back to the stage.

Deliberately leaving the jam on her face for theatrical effect, she sat back down and acted like everything was normal.

"Now, what team should we showcase next? Ah, I know. How about... THIS ONE!"

Xiu smirked as she leaned back in the chair and extended her foot out.

"Get your foot away from me," Kisha snarled.

"It's for the camera," Xiu smirked.

"Camera's that way."

Xiu turned and blinked as she saw the camera and the crew holding up prompts on a sign. "Oh right, I'm Xiu Mei-mo, the new maestro of China."

"Alright, I've been told my bald state has dampened my journalist abilities, but like hell anyone believes you're now maestro. Maestro's can't compete here, so if you are one, DQ."

"Just a joke, but I'm gonna replace her."

"Sure, sure, so think your team will win it?"

"Yup, perfect sweep. We winning."

"I have my doubts, but hey, you gave a straight answer, so I'll give it to you."

"What has everyone else been saying?"

"Sorry, out of time. Xiu Mei-mo, everybody."
