Chapter 49 — Syncal's Arrival

Yui and John, along with Iris's projection on the TV and Youngmi, were waiting for JJ when he arrived.​「JJ,」 Yui was serious, 「where were you?」​Iris: ⟦Dad was in the U.S. talking to the Governor of California on opening diplomatic relations with Militia.⟧​John scoffed dismissively. 「Really, JJ, of all people?」​Iris: ⟦Yes, him. I tried my best to fight as many as I could off, but they were unnaturally strong.」​JJ: 「I see.」 He became serious. 「How many did you kill?」​Hyun-seok: 「Um... three. But there were like fifty of them.」 JJ patted him on the head.​JJ chuckled. 「Killing three as an untrained civilian fighting genetically modified humans proves you got potential, kid. So don’t worry, your big brother will take care of the rest for you.」​Hyun-seok was surprised. 【Is this why mother said I just need to be me around him, huh? 'I'm tracking his location keep him distracted'​Akuma chuckled. ⟦Don’t swear like that, the whole of Kaigen Toshi is watching!⟧ He panned the camera to show Shizuko. ⟦But there’s your daughter.⟧​Shizuko was tied up and blindfolded. ⟦Papa?⟧​JJ: 「Psyche, no limits, destroy the enemy!」​Shizuko: ⟦Copy.⟧ She instantly broke loose of her restraints, her eyes turning a dangerous Crimson.​Psyche had her hair glowing in the moonlight. ⟦‘Ight, which one of you f-ers are finna die first?⟧​Akuma scoffed dismissively. ⟦Take care of her.⟧​AGoon#01 approached her with AGoon#02. ⟦Now behave, little girl!⟧​AGoon#02 laughed. ⟦Or we will break you!⟧​Psyche looked at AGoon#02 with disdain. ⟦Bitch, have you ever been punched in your motherfucking face?⟧​AGoon#02 and AGoon#01 laughed at her. ⟦No!⟧​Psyche was surprised. ⟦What you sayin’? Oh, you haven't! Alright, wait!⟧ She jumped up to AGoon#02’s eye level.​AGoon#02 was surprised, as was everyone else watching. 「Huh?」
​Psyche punched AGoon#02 in the face so hard that his head bunched into the floor, killing him instantly.
​Psyche landed on the floor. ⟦Bitch!⟧​AGoon#01 was still shocked. ⟦What the fuck?!⟧
​Psyche grabbed AGoon#02’s body, swung it so hard and fast that when its head hit AGoon#01’s head, both exploded on impact.​Akuma and the rest of his goons backed away from her.
​Akuma was annoyed. ⟦Tch, this is why you and your family don’t belong on this planet!⟧​Psyche laughed at him. ⟦You just mad you a cheap copy of Papa!⟧​AGoon#03 was angry that his two friends died. ⟦The other one is harmless!⟧ He charged toward Sora.​Psyche: ⟦I wouldn’t do that if I were you!⟧​Akuma noticed Psyche was just watching. ⟦Wait, no! ​AGoon#03 attempted to punch Sora, but his punch was blocked by an immediate force field. Then, two of the beads on Sora’s bracelet shot out onto AGoon#03’s feet.
​AGoon#03: ⟦WH-AAARRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!⟧
​AGoon#03 screamed as he was dissolved from his feet up. After thirty seconds, he was just a bloody, organ, and bone matter soup on the ground.
​Sora was surprised. ⟦What was that?!⟧
​The two beads shot back onto the bracelet, just as clean as before they turned AGoon#03 into mush.
​Akuma was confused. ⟦Wait, how is that even possible?!⟧​Psyche puffed out her chest in pride. ⟦That’s because Papa made them! Besides, since there are versions of Papa that are mean, there were weapons to kill him for a while in our house!⟧​Akuma: ⟦What?!⟧​Iris pinged a message on Sycnal's phone. 'I found their location'. Then a map of where they were appeared on the phone.​Sycnal (hair and pupils Dusty Blue) laughed with a God complex and arrogance. 「She is right, for to remain dead doth much irk me. Now, Akuma, what doth thou earn when Psyc, the body, Blanco, the heart, and Cain, the mind, decide to take up arms? A Dusty Blue demon named Sycnal, the 'c' is silent. But I have a question for thee.」 He walked out of his house, continuing the call on his phone.​Akuma was seriously annoyed. ⟦What? No, you bastard!⟧​Sycnal chuckled menacingly. 「Hast thou e'er been struck in thy own God-damn face?」​Akuma was shocked. ⟦No!⟧​Sycnal: 「What sayest thou?」 He then disappeared from view.
