Hagemi scowled and shook her head as she captured the queen at d6 with her queen.

"Come on, since you know who I am, you should know how I play," Okisato sighed as he captured said queen with his c-pawn.

"I only hear the reports, never checked out the games," Hagemi grumbled as she moved her pawn to a3.

"That's on you, then," Okisato shrugged as he moved his bishop to f5.

"I meant regarding your Desperado hunts. I've seen all the games you played against Yuusuke," Hagemi snarled as she captured the bishop at f5 with her bishop.

"And?" Okisato nodded as he captured said bishop with his g-pawn.

"Pissed... with Yuusuke," Hagemi stated as she captured the knight at f6 with her bishop.

"That's what I heard from Inoue-senpai. But do you really bare no resentment towards me for subjecting him to often times humiliating mates?" Okisato asked as he captured the bishop at f6 with his rook.

"No, he was club vice-president, but he was humiliated like an idiot. I wish he never had been given that position. It's thanks to that his growth stunted," Hagemi scowled as she bit her lip and moved her knight to c3.

"Even though his rating is higher than it was then?" Okisato inquired as he moved his rook to g6.

"The mental damage was too much. Now look at him; he's a failure," Hagemi frowned as she moved her pawn to h4.

"Definitely getting Déjà vu with this," Okisato thought as he moved his pawn to d4.

"Why'd you go silent?" Hagemi scowled as she moved her knight to d5.

"Oh? You want to have a conversation?" Okisato scoffed as he moved his rook to c8.

"No, I don't," Hagemi growled as she moved her knight to f4.

"Suit yourself," Okisato shrugged as he moved his rook to f6.

Thus, things continued in silence with Hagemi moving her pawn to b5 and Okisato moving his knight to d8.

Rook c1 and rook c5 came next, prompting Hagemi to defend her stray pawn at b5 by moving her pawn to a4. Okisato wasn't done making threats though, and moved his pawn to e5. Hagemi decided to spit it back out at him by countering with knight h5, yet the counterattack was countered with rook h6.

"Tch, starting to tick me off," Hagemi snarled under her breath as she moved her knight to g3.

"What was that?" Okisato called out as he moved his pawn to f4.

"Nothing," Hagemi glared as she moved her knight to f5.

"Can't help but go for my rook, huh?" Okisato smirked as he moved his rook to f6.

"Oi, wipe that smirk off your face," Hagemi growled as she moved her pawn to g4.

"Getting frustrated, or maybe this is just your default mode."

"Oi, you-"

"En Passant!"

Hagemi's gaze widened ever slightly as Okisato performed en passant and captured the pawn at g4 with his f-pawn. "Tch, you're not beating me," she snarled as she captured the pawn at g3 with her knight.

"But you're not winning, and that's what matters," Okisato smirked as he moved his pawn to d5.

"We ain't playing Armageddon," Hagemi glared as she moved her king to e2.

"I know," Okisato nodded as he moved his rook to c4. "But I bet even drawing you after playing the Důras Gambit would hurt your pride somewhat."

Hagemi's eye twitched as she moved her knight to h7.

"Come to think of it, have you ever faced an unorthodox opening before?" Okisato taunted as he moved his rook to h6.

"Why don't you look up my records and find out?" Hagemi growled as she moved her pawn to d3.

"And if I said I already did?" Okisato smirked as he captured the pawn at a4 with his rook.

"Wouldn't believe you," Hagemi snapped back as she captured the bishop at f8 with her knight.

"Then how would you react if you lose to this opening?" Okisato snickered as he captured the bishop at f8 with his king.

A vein burst on Hagemi's forehead as she moved her c-rook to f1. "You're barking up the wrong tree."

"Smells like the right one to me," Okisato smirked as he moved his knight to e6.

This tree has a beehive of angry bees, which will end up falling on your head if you keep up that barking," Hagemi glared as she moved her king to d2.

"Why're you assuming I'm a dog barking up a tree?" Okisato snickered as he moved his king to f7.

"Bears don't bark, they growl," Hagemi snarled as she moved her knight to f5.

"You're the one who tried to portray me as a dog, not the bear I am creeping up the trunk," Okisato smugly shrugged as he moved his rook to f6.

"I thought you were supposed to be a tiger," Hagemi growled as she moved her knight to g3.

"An oni-tiger, which is stronger than a bear. Guess I'll concede the point," Okisato snickered as he moved his rook to a2.

"That's it! Silence in effect!" Hagemi fumed as she moved her pawn to h5.

Okisato silent smirked and shrugged as he moved his knight to c5. Hagemi then pressed her pawn to h6, prompting Okisato to send his king to g8 to intercept the oncoming pawn. Hagemi anticipated it though and moved her rook to h5, yet rather than defend, Okisato went on the attack and launched his rook to f3.

"Maybe Yuusuke did have it right when he complained about you; you're an asshole," Hagemi thought as she moved her king to d1.

Okisato's eyes bulged as he stared at the board. He held his chin and slowly nodded as he thought for a bit before finally capturing the pawn at d3 with his knight.

Hagemi captured said knight with her c-pawn without a hint of hesitation, her glare of disgust unfading.

"Wow, I bet you're compiling some nasty thoughts about me. Can't blame you, considering you tend not to acknowledge your own failures and blame others for them," Okisato snickered.

"Oi, you want-"

"Check," Okisato smirked as he captured the pawn at d3 with his rook.

Hagemi scowled in confusion at first, but as she began contemplating the moves in her mind, she slowly began to frown. "Oh no... No, no... I didn't fucking see it... No," she thought as she slowly covered her face with her hands.

"Giving up?" Okisato asked.

"I never resign," Hagemi glared as she moved her king to c1.

"Just like your son," Okisato nodded as he moved his pawn to f4.

Hagemi gritted her teeth in frustration as she moved her pawn to f4, but as soon as Okisato moved his pawn to d3, shock and horror consumed her. "Ah fuck... No... Fucking hell," she trembled as she covered her face with one hand.

"Well, going to let the clock run out?" Okisato taunted.

Hagemi shook her head and sighed as she moved her rook to g5. "Check."

Okisato smugly nodded and moved his king to h8, completely aware of how to win from this position. Hagemi could tell, yet her pride demanded she play to best she could until the bitter end, thus, she checked again with rook g8, and watched as said rook was mopped up by Okisato's king. Then came h7, the last of her petty checks, with Okisato responding by moving his king to h8.

In a sense, Hagemi's pride forcing her to keep playing was resulting in greater humiliation than just resigning as now she had to move her rook to f2, leading to it being instantly captured by Okisato's rook. Hagemi then moved her knight to e2, allowing it to be effortlessly gobbled up by Okisato's rook, all in the name of delaying the mate for as many moves as possible. It wouldn't be many moves though as after Hagemi captured the pawn at e5 with her f-pawn, Okisato prepared to hammer in the finishing blow with rook c2, check, forcing Hagemi's king to d1.

"And that's checkmate. Like mother, like son, I humiliated you both," Okisato snickered as he moved his rook to b1, winning the game.

Tears began to ooze out of Hagemi's eyes as she covered her face with her hands in shame.

"Now don't tell me you won't be able to tell me all I want to know due to your current state," Okisato scowled.

"No... You beat me fair n' square. Ugh, what a lousy day... Now listen up, I'm not repeating myself..."
