Chapter 781:

Bad dudes

En Passant Grandmaster

Deciding to take a walk around the lake, Mimoko stepped outside the hotel and began walking around the lake. As she reached the boat rental area, she noticed something on the water. A motorboat was speeding around with a man appearing to stand upright at the back end of it, twerking as it sped across the waters.

"DUUUUUUUUDDDDDDDEEEEEE!" the man could be heard shouting.

Then he got launched off the back thanks to a bumpy wave, and fell into the water.

He didn't appear to come back up, prompting the man piloting the motor boat to stop the boat, and dive down into the water himself. He then came back up alongside the man who had fallen off.

"DUUUUUUUUUUDDDDDDE! DAMSELED IN THE WAVES!" the man who had fallen off cried.

Mimoko decided to turn around and head back to the hotel as the last thing she wanted was a chance encounter with that weirdo.

"CHICK'S RUNNING! DUDE, GET TO SHORE!"

A sense of dread overtook Mimoko as the two men scurried back into the boat and began steering it in Mimoko's direction. Mimoko quickly took off running to the hotel, before suddenly stopping.

"Wait, I can just warp away!"

And that she did.

"DUDE! SHE'S GONE!" the man who had fallen in the water cried.

...

Back in the hotel's common area, Utami and Iori gathered around Yuusuke. "So you got invited to a loser tournament? Who else is there?" Iori asked.

"Why would I know!? I don't know anything about this!" Yuusuke fumed.

"Looked like your mommy did. I saw her looking more shaken than anyone here."

"... She never tells me anything. She just yells, berates, but it was never this bad until I became vice-president. She couldn't accept that I was given such a position, without the skills..."

"Yeah, you only won cuz the club was pissed off at Oki-kun, but now he's the undisputed vice-president."

"You didn't learn anything from being beaten by him?" Utami asked.

"Um, why would I?"

"That's how I learned, by being beaten and forced to recognize lines and patterns. It was a trial by fire, but a fire that forged me into a mad queen worthy of serving by Mimoko-sama's side."

"Bastard brainwashed you. Or maybe, you actually had talent. I don't have that. Maybe that's why this tournament wants to get rid of me."

"DUUUUUUUDDDEEEEE!" a voice cried out.

Everyone turned to see two soggy guys walking towards them. One had sun-tanned orange skin, short spiky bleached blonde hair, and a matching-colored horseshoe mustache, and was clad in a blue Hawaiian shirt, tan khaki shorts, and white sneakers. The other man was clean-shaven and had long blonde hair that covered his eyes, and was clad in a black tank top, gray capri sweat pants, and tan slip-on hemp shoes.

"You seen a chick? had hair droopin outta her head like this!" the mustachioed man grinned as he held the long-haired man's hair in twintails.

Utami's eye twitched, yet she remained composed. "It could have been any girl with twintails," she thought. "No. Not that-"

"She was outside, and she had like, smooth skin, looked like she was girly as fuck. She'd be the perfect Dame Damsel!"

"Uh, what's that?" Iori asked.

"DUUUUUUUUUUUUDDDDDEEEEE! Dame Damsel is the girl. The strong empowered that reverses the roles and saves the men."

"Yeah, you're high as fuck."

"TOTALLY!" Both men enthusiastically screamed.

"Yeah, no clue where this girl is. Now, we gotta go," Iori nervously smiled as she wrapped her arms around Utami and Yuusuke and began dragging them away.

"Nah, dude, we partay with the new homies," the mustachioed man grinned as he and his partner began following them.

"Uh, we're gonna have sex, sorry, no outsiders."

"Mosh pit!? DUDE, WE DOWN!" the men grinned as they began charging madly at the three.

"Why did you give such a stupid excuse," Utami glared as she began running with Yuusuke and Iori.

"I THOUGHT THEY'D LEAVE US BE IF THEY THOUGHT WE WERE ALL GONNA HAVE SEX, OK!" Iori tearfully fumed.

"Why not just slug them?"

"Think I'd be running if I thought I could take them!?"

Utami's gaze narrowed. "Who are they?"

"No clue, but something's nasty about them, and I ain't talking about just the smell. Those two... are bad news..."

"Desperados? Ngh, the secret puzzle cafe. They can't use DESPERs there," Yuusuke scowled.

"We gotta do the arcade to enter!" Iori cried.

"Are you not a gamer? "Speedrun it" as they say," Utami glared.

"I'm taking you with me to the next con so you learn what gamers are like!"

"I do not wish to be part of a con."

"CON! CONVENTION CON!"

"Yeah, how'd you equate con job with convention?" Yuusuke grumbled.

"Mimoko-sama told me of how bad the one you took her to was," Utami glared.

"Hey, she was popular!" Iori retorted.

"YOU DIDN'T INVITE ME TO COME WITH YOU!"

"BECAUSE YOU'D MESS EVERYTHING UP!"

Reaching the arcade room, Iori frantically rushed to the arcade and began the sequence to unlock the door.

"DUUUUUUUDDDDDEEEEEEE! ARCADES! THEY GAMING IN HERE!" the two men screamed as they reached the arcade.

"Hurry!" Utami glared.

"I'M NOT A FUCKING SPEEDRUNNER! ... THERE!"

The secret passage slowly slid open as the two men closed in. "Yooooooo, we gonna get tied up n' jazzed in this joint," the mustachioed man eerily grinned.

"Nope!" Iori cried as she grabbed Yuusuke and Utami and ran as fast as she could through the passageway.

The two men attempted to follow, but found themselves blocked by an invisible wall.

"Please present WWCF cards," a robotic voice from the arcade machine ordered.

"Bro, you got my wallet?" the mustachioed man grinned.

"We eco, remember? No cash, we code," the long-haired man grinned back. "Uh, 5776-"

"Invalid. Closing," the arcade machine stated as it slid back into place.

"Bummer, man."
