Chapter 22:

Family - Arc 3

Lucid Memories:The Observer's Servant Eyes「明晰思い出:観察者の従者眼」

I was curious, and so I asked.

As the sun rose, the two of us looked for something to eat, with me at the past only eating everything I see that was alive, she'd been searching for plants since she came here and found many, yet it was far away so I had to follow her there, but even so it was fine, since it'll be the first time that I'll eat without killing carelessly.

And so we went home, now with fruits and vegetables, to eat and to plant, we also found fishes there, we captured it, and after that we would cook it and eat it.

While eating, I finally asked her why she and her family saved me, even though I was no one to them, they took care of me, fed me, and cleaned me, and everything else, I had to ask why, and so she answered.

"As I had already said, I only found you by accident, I was scared and so I called my parents, and after that, they just took care of you, even I don't know why, but it didn't really changed my family, it just felt like another one came to the family, it felt like I had a brother, it felt like I did have a brother, it might be the reason they took care of you, I might had a brother that was once alive but now gone, that might be the reason they treated you like family, but I don't know, I didn't really ask, but even so I don't mind, at least now, I have someone to live with, I'm not alone anymore, I'm with you now."

I felt awkward and asked her why does she still treat me like a family even though her family is gone, I mean she doesn't have to treat me like family anymore, but she did, so I was curious and asked her again.

"Since then, we treated you like family, and now even when my family's gone, I'll still treat you like one because you're the only family I have, I'm alone without you as I said, and so I'll treat you like a family forever, since as I said, you're the only one I have."

And that was it, I still felt awkward since she was so nice to me, so I just thanked her, we finished our breakfast, and went on with our day like normal, and so days had passed.
