Chapter 24:

Outsiders - Arc 3

Lucid Memories:The Observer's Servant Eyes「明晰思い出:観察者の従者眼」

I was feeling scared, and maybe uneasy.

Everything went as usual as it is, us waking up together, searching for food, watching our plants grow, feeding animals and breeding them, it all went as usual until we found something, a torch, something we would normally found in the village, but this one in particular is different, this one was lit in fire, meaning that someone must've been here, meaning that we weren't alone.

It was getting dark yet we still went there, further into the forest from where we found the torch, and little by little we would see light, and as we finally got there, we found them, a camp of somewhat, yet it wasn't just a camp, it was different, it was a  cult's camp.

We almost went back as we saw them, upside down crosses with hanged people, you could see their blood dripping slowly, one in particular saw me, by reading their lips, I understood what they said, they uttered "help", yet we didn't do anything, and as we watched him their hanging, he died right in front of us, with his last word asking us for help.

She was close to puking, but after that, we saw them, the ones who killed our families, those white cloaks I could easily remember, their laughter as they saw the dead, everything about them never changes, only one thing did, with their past only killing children, now they kill everybody, despite their age, despite their gender, they still killed them, laughing at them, as the victims would cry for help.

Yet that wasn't the worst part, with everything that's here, we could remember everything that happened in our past, looking at her, I could see her cry as she remembers her family, and with me, just there, doing nothing like last time, and as I was about to hold her hands and tell her to go back, he was there, the man who killed my parents, that same doctor with the white cloak, laughing at the dead, laughing at everything, all I could do was stare at him with anger as I realised what I wanted to do, I realised that I wanted to kill him, but even so, I didn't know if I could or not, maybe I just want to forget him, maybe I just want to live in a world without him, maybe, I don't know.
