[3 years later]

Why is everyone so loud this morning??? I came out of bed and opened my bedroom door to see guards running everywhere.

Your highness! We have to take you some place safe, please follow us! Said a guard who approached me.What happened? I asked Intruders sneaked in!

I hurried bare foot with the guards to the basement. On the way, we passed the throne hall where the most commotion was going on. I decided, you know what, I want to see those intruders.

your highness what are you doing!?Screamed a guard Im curious!This is no time for curiousness!

I ran into the throne hall to see a line of guards in front of the throne, I looked further away to see a tall man with long hair breaded finely with a red ribbon at the end, he was wearing a laughing mask, next to him was a child (I think?) with short brown hair and demon horns? A demon child? How surprising, a demon out in the open like this. The child was also wearing a mask but one with a cat face.

What are you after!? I screamed

The guards were startled by my presence.

The tall man proceeded to remove his mask.

It’s been so long Ori, please tell me you didnt forget about me?

His voice was so familiar, it took me a second to realize that standing from afar, was none other than my life long crush and my best friend, Hendrix, whom I sent on a journey 3 years ago. I ran across the hall room and jumped into his arms.

HENDRIX I MISSED YOU SO MUCH, ITS BEEN 3 YEARS, LOOK AT YOUR HAIR ITS SO LONG NOW! I started sobbing.

Hendrix hugged me back, not surprised by my reaction.

it has been a while Ori, I missed you too haha.

I looked at his face, it wasn’t the same expression that I’ve seen 3 years ago, it was the one I saw when I first met him, a warm welcoming smile. I was overjoyed. The guards started to welcome him back. Hendrix was a teacher at my castle to train my guards so he was friends with a few of them.

Hendrix, may I ask who this child is? I asked.

The child removed his mask to reveal two golden snake eyes that were absolutely beautiful.

hello, my name is Demian.

He bowed gently. What a cute child, but why is he with Hendrix?

ah, Hes my son! Said Hendrix.

We all stopped talking for a bit. His what???! He has a son now??? Plus a demon??? Just where the hell did he find a demon partner??This kid is older obviously older than 3..?? I had so many questions.

Haha you guys must be confused, I adopted him, I found him in a burning village so I took him in!

So that was what it was.. im kinda glad he didn’t have an affair with someone.

Oh yeah Ori! Since I’m back, will you take me in as your personal guard? Asked Hendrix.My personal guard??! Well, I guess it would be fine, you’re sure you’re gonna be alright??Of course I am! I’ll see you guys tomorrow! He said as he was walking back outside.It’s been a while since I felt this happy.
