Stay with me until it stops hurting

It’s been a few days since I started working as Ori’s personal body guard. Honestly I took this role because of his fathers last wish, since I didn’t have the chance to before. It’s been going pretty smoothly so far, nothing seems to be unusual. When Ori wasn’t signing papers, we would hang out in the garden like when we were kids, these days have been quite nostalgic, its nice. When I’m not on duty I train the new guards like before or I spend time with Demian, I enrolled him into a school and he seems to like it there. My old life is slowly coming back, and I enjoy it, I’m glad Ori sent me on that journey. The more time I spend with Ori, the more I see how he changed. How strange, I don’t remember him being this mature and beautiful.

Next day

Oh crap I’m late for work. My room in the Castle isn’t prepared yet so I still live accros the town. I see a note on my bedside table from Demian saying « Good morning, there’s breakfast leftovers ». I ran downstairs and see a piece of toast on the table, WHAT DID HE MEAN BY LEFTOVERS?? Anyways I grabbed the toast and ran straight out the door. I run across the town, greet the guards in front of the castle and go meet Ori in his office.

-Gah! I’m so sorry, I woke up late, is everything alright?

-Oh it’s alright, don’t worry about it. We’re you this late that you didn’t have time to tie your hair? Ori asked.

I just realized I haven’t tied my hair this morning, I look so improper right now.

-Ah I’m so sorry, I’ll go and tie it.

-Do you mind if I do it?

-Uh, sure do as you please.

I sat down on a chair, he got behind me and started breading it into a braid.

-Your hair grew a lot, I still can’t believe it haha.

-Yeah, I think I should cut it, it’s starting to get in the way.

-Oh no please don’t, you look beautiful with long hair, but if that’s what you’d prefer…

Did he just say I looked beautiful? I blush a bit.

-And done! You still wear that ribbon I gave you to tie your hair?
