The Legends stared at Damon with weapons ready, tense and cautious.

After getting out of the car, Damon first looked at the blown tire, then smiled.

"Pay for it."

Pay?

Pay for what?

The tire?

The team members, who had been ready for a fight at any moment, froze.

Even if he was not surprised by their existence, how could he calmly ask for compensation?

Was that really the point right now?

"Is he really the person we are looking for?" Captain Cold asked suspiciously.

"Technically, we did damage his tire. So... should we pay for it?"

The Atom muttered in a painfully earnest voice.

Rip Hunter, leader of the Legends and captain of the Waverider, frowned and spoke to Damon.

"We will compensate you for the vehicle damage later. Right now, we need to discuss a matter concerning the safety of time itself."

Damon's gaze moved across them one by one.

He smiled brightly.

"Sure. I also want to know why you came now."

"Why we came now? You know us, and you knew we would come?"

Sara Lance frowned.

Her blond hair shone in the sunlight. The white sleeveless combat suit made her figure impossible to ignore. She gripped her twin silver batons, already positioned to fight at the first wrong word.

"Top assassin of the League of Assassins. White Canary. The woman who hooked up with her sister's boyfriend. The bisexual disaster. Did I miss anything?"

Damon smiled.

Sara Lance suddenly smiled back.

"Right back at you."

Damon did not care. His gaze moved past her, and he began tearing into them one by one.

"Ray Palmer. A man who could have been Superman and somehow downgraded himself into the Atom. Prestige dropped straight through the floor."

"Jefferson Jackson, one half of Firestorm. The textbook example of the replacement partner succeeding so well people forget the original. Martin Stein, instead of staying a scientist, you ran off to adventure with young people. You will die."

"Captain Cold, Leonard Snart. Your father abused you and your sister when you were young, so later you became a criminal. Your sister is beautiful. After you die, I would not mind comforting her. From the look of things, that should happen soon. You die earlier than Martin Stein. Also, in one world, you are gay."

"As for you, Heat Wave, Mick Rory, you are an arsonist, but you have one of the most successful redemption arcs. When you write novels later, remember to include me."

"Hawkman, Carter Hall. Hawkgirl, Kendra Saunders. For the two of you, I have only one word: useless."

"And finally, you."

Damon looked at Rip Hunter, whose face had turned grim and shocked.

"You are the one I actually admire most. You gathered this pile of misfits under the banner of saving time and saving the world, when all you really wanted was to save your family. Shameless, but effective."

Every sentence darkened someone's face.

Some were furious at the mockery.

Others were shocked by what he knew.

"Have you met our future selves?" Rip Hunter asked, frowning.

He had thought this mission was simply to stop Damon from picking up Laurel and prevent the Birds of Prey from forming, thereby changing Sara Lance's fate.

But Damon knew them this well. He even knew futures they themselves did not know.

The only explanation was that Damon had met a future version of the Legends and learned their destinies.

That made things difficult.

"It seems we have much more to discuss," Rip said heavily.

Damon smiled.

"Then let's talk on the Waverider."

The Waverider was a large timeship, powered primarily by ion propulsion. It could travel through time, turn invisible, fly itself, run self-diagnostics, and housed a med bay, escape craft, and the artificial intelligence Gideon.

It was the Legends' only vehicle for traveling through time and correcting temporal aberrations.

Damon followed the conflicted Legends onto the Waverider and greeted the artificial intelligence first.

"Hello, Gideon."

"Hello, Mr. Keller."

A synthesized female voice answered.

Damon smiled and leaned against a console.

"Now tell me what you know about this temporal aberration."

Rip Hunter looked at Sara Lance.

Sara spoke.

"Because you pushed my sister into becoming Black Canary early and connected her with Felicity and Catwoman to form the Birds of Prey, a chain of deviations followed. I was not killed by Thea Queen. I was not resurrected. Laurel was not killed by Damien Darhk."

"Two sets of memories are appearing in my head at the same time. I can feel the original memories disappearing, which means time is slowly hardening around the reality you changed."

"To us, you are changing history."

"So we have to stop you."

Time moved along lines.

Even if the altered events had not yet happened in the present, if things continued developing this way, time would gradually solidify the changed reality and replace the old history with the new one.

Detecting a temporal aberration before history had fully changed, traveling to the point of deviation, and stopping it to protect the original timeline.

That was why the Legends had come for Damon.

Damon Keller was the temporal aberration changing history.
