There was no more procrastinating around like an idiot. Now that Hana had seen what it was like to be someone charismatic and popular—she now had an idea of what she was going to aspire to. Hana Lee headed to the library to make her move.

Classes were finally over.

Tristan usually stayed at the school gym around this time to practice while waiting for his classes and Phoebe just headed over to her organization’s clubroom. Aaron just hung around when Tristan was present—so it meant that it was just her and her alone.

It was time to take some action.

And no—it wasn’t researching obsessively over articles or Sophie’s Starcam account. Hana Lee already did that during her classes, secretly scrolling through her phone while half-paying attention to her classes. The fact that she wasn’t caught was amazing, but that wasn’t what mattered now.

Hana went towards one of the window seats in the library and placed her bag down on the table. She took out her essential items: An empty notebook, three pens of different colors, and then post-it notes.

This was it.

She took a deep breath and placed her water bottle on the table and then braced herself.

Hana Lee was going to do it, make it or break it—it was now or never. Do or die—

“I already got what I was trying to tell myself. No need to keep muttering.” Hana chided herself for making all those thoughts and picked up her phone again to check out the app store. She had already downloaded the StarCam earlier and recovered her old account, but that wasn’t what she needed.

Based on the articles that Hana read, there was a need to get everything laid down in a plan first. A game plan. You needed those before you actually started posting.

Could Hana really just take a photo and then start doing it everyday? That was a huge commitment and how many poses could one actually do before you started repeating things? Hana Lee looked down at her scraggly notes of what she could start posting from her gallery.

It was really far from a typical Influencer’s face-focused album.

Or at least what came to her mind when she thought of them. Regardless, she needed to make do with what she currently had if there was anything useful to be gleaned.

The random stray cat that Hana and Tristan saw while they were walking to university.

The picture of the university’s cafeteria lunch. Looks halfway decent.

The rest of her gallery was filled with similar photos or pictures of the lessons that her professors taught in their classroom.

Maybe Tristan was right? What did she even think about by trying to start this? Hana Lee hung her head a little and then started to rest her cheek against the table. There was like a pile of worksheets that she needed to complete, but this Influencer thing was what she wanted to take care of first.

Did she want it? It seemed like a great idea when she thought about it, but now it wasn’t even something she was excited about. Somehow, it felt like her energy was siphoned out of her now that she was doing it.

A part of her wanted to give it up and call it quits. Admit it was a huge commitment.

But she needed to do it!

“I mean, I could try to just take a stab at it and just start posting—but that’s not going to work for me.” Hana scratched the back of her head.

This was the silly thing that Tristan Jay was actually right about. It really looked easy at first for Hana and maybe even for some others to consider. The most simple way of looking at it was just someone who posted pictures and earned money.

All one needed to become an Influencer was sometimes just a phone with a decent camera plus the social media of choice. However, it was necessary for one to make plans. Hana Lee took another deep breath and then pulled herself up from her bout of motivation wane and finally grabbed her phone to start searching for the first thing that was on her list.

Small steps were necessary.

“I can do this.”

While she had her social media apps, the vital part was the scheduling and planning portion of it.

[ Search Bar: Social Media Planner ]

Hana Lee scrolled down through various apps listed down that promised just that, but before randomly downloading the first one that popped up—which was usually an ad—she started checking out the reviews and the people who downloaded said apps.

There were those who received five stars but had too few people downloading it.

“Fake reviews.”

Or they might have been rewarded to give the app five stars. Hana rolled her eyes and checked a decent looking one, but then furrowed her brows at what was written in the reviews once again. This guy randostrang71 was actually right about his take on the app!

She had almost downloaded it if not for this guy telling her that it was a bad idea.

“Geez, this one needs a Premium Subscription? Who cares about freemium?”

It was obvious that every decent function in the app was locked in the premium portion of the app and while the app was obviously teasing her with this 90 day trial… Hana Lee wasn’t going to budge at all.

She needed to be convinced.

That was a hard thing for any kind of app to do.

“Why can’t I find the one that I really want?” Hana muttered underneath her breath.

All Hana Lee ever wanted was an app that was going to help her plan out step by step the following things that she needed to do in order to rise as an Influencer. Maybe make it more motivating to do? Rewarding or fulfilling even? Surely there was going to be something like that, right?

How hard was it going to be?

There were so many people just like her who were probably dreaming of this—this wasn’t a niche desire. Almost every other person from the kid next door to their dog wanted to be an Influencer… or at least the pet owners wanted their dog to become internet celebrities.

“So why isn’t there any app—”

Hana Lee stopped in her tracks and finally found it. This was an app that finally caught her eye with its glittery and striking colors, it looked both super fashionable and professional at the same time. It was one of those app designs that told you that they were made by really great digital artists who took a masters in logo-making.

Was this it?

[ Influencer App ]

The name of the app was pretty simple but it was direct and straightforward to the point. It was also what Hana Lee envisioned an app like this to be—she clicked it to review what the app promised and it was all but the sweetest melody to her ears.

Or rather, a feast for the eyes and her hungry mind.

[ About this app ]

Hana Lee devoured each word with earnestness and desire as her stomach or rather her gut told her that this was what she was looking for all this time. It was a real wonder why this app wasn’t at the top of the charts.

She eyed the bottom portion of the text and made a small ‘ah’ sound. It started making sense as to why the app turned out to be very new.

“So, it’s in beta-testing… but I can download it and send feedback.”

Hana chewed on her bottom lip. This was it—if this app didn’t work out at all, it was super easy to just uninstall it. Why did she need to hesitate over it even?

She downloaded the app.
