Volume 1 — Chapter 3: The First Transformation and the First Battle

The Shadow Beast stood before the two newly transformed girls.

Airi Mizuhara, now Cure Pink Heart, stared at her hands.

“I still can't believe this is happening...”

Beside her, Rina Tachibana, Cure Blue Heart, remained focused.

“We can think about that later. Right now, we have to protect the girl.”

The little girl was still frightened.Airi looked at the monster.

“Right!”

The Shadow Beast suddenly charged.

“Here it comes!” Rina shouted.

Airi instinctively raised her arms.

The monster swung its enormous fist.

BOOM!

Airi blocked the attack.

The force pushed her backward across the ground.

“Whoa!”

She looked at her arms in surprise.

“That was strong!”

Rina quickly realized something.

“The transformation increased your physical abilities.”

“My physical abilities?”

Airi clenched her fists.

“Then let's see what I can do!”

She rushed forward.

Her movements became incredibly fast.

Airi struck the Shadow Beast with a series of quick punches.

BAM! 

BAM! 

BAM!

The monster staggered backward.

“I did it!”

Airi jumped back.

“I actually hurt it!”

But she could feel something strange.

There was another source of energy inside her.

It was much stronger than the power she had just used.

Airi tried to reach it.

Nothing happened.

“What was that?”

Rina looked at her.

“What?”

“I feel like there's another power inside me... Something much stronger.”

“Can you use it?”

Airi shook her head.

“I don't know how.”

The Shadow Beast attacked again.

Airi quickly moved away.

“Then I'll have to fight without it!”

Cure Blue Heart

Rina watched the monster carefully.

Unlike Airi, she didn't rush forward.

She observed its movements.

“The energy is concentrated around its arms.”

Airi looked at her.

“How can you tell?”

“I've spent years studying chemical reactions. Energy always has a pattern.”

Rina raised her hand.

Blue energy gathered around her.

“So if I understand how this power reacts...”

The Miracle Phone began glowing.Rina's eyes widened.

“The amount of energy changes depending on how I control it.”

She concentrated.

A stream of blue energy shot forward.

BOOM!

The Shadow Beast was thrown backward.Airi stared at her.

“Wow!”

Rina looked surprised herself.

“It worked...”

She examined the energy around her hand.

“But I'm still not using its full strength.”

Airi blinked.

“Neither am I.”

Rina nodded.

“Then we're both still learning.”

The First Teamwork

The Shadow Beast became angry.

It released a wave of dark energy.

“Watch out!” Airi shouted.

Rina raised her hands.

“Together!”

Airi jumped forward.

“I'll distract it!”

She rushed toward the monster and attacked with a rapid series of punches.

The Shadow Beast tried to strike her.

Airi dodged.

“Too slow!”

She jumped over its arm and landed behind it.

“Now, Rina!”

Rina concentrated.

“If my calculations are correct...”

Blue energy gathered around her.

“I can combine the power with your attack!”

Airi turned toward her.

“Let's do it!”

Pink and blue energy began surrounding the girls.

The Shadow Beast roared and charged.Airi ran forward.

“Pink Heart Rush!”

Her punches became faster and stronger.Rina followed.

“Blue Heart Reaction!”

A powerful burst of blue energy struck the monster.

The two attacks collided with the Shadow Beast at the same time.

BOOOOOOM!

A huge explosion of pink and blue light filled the amusement park.

The Shadow Beast screamed.

Its body began breaking apart into dark particles.

Airi shielded her eyes.

“Is it working?!”

Rina looked through the light.

“Yes!”

The monster finally disappeared.

The darkness scattered into the air.

Silence returned to the amusement park.

Airi stared at her hands.

“Did... we really defeat it?”

Rina slowly lowered her arms.

“I think we did.”

Airi smiled.

“We actually did it!”

The Villain's Observation

Far away, Reiji Kurogane had watched the entire battle through the dark crystal.

He remained silent for several seconds.

“So... this is their current strength.”

He had expected the chosen girls to be dangerous.

But their lack of experience was obvious.

Reiji suddenly laughed.

“Hahaha!”

He leaned against the table.

“They can't even control their own powers.”

His expression became amused.

“Those two little flies don't even understand what they've awakened.”

But then his smile slowly faded.

He remembered what he had seen during the battle.

Airi's energy.

The strange power hidden inside her.

Reiji narrowed his eyes.

“Wait...”

The dark crystal flickered.

“That pink girl's energy...”

He watched the remaining traces of pink light.

“She wasn't using her full power.”

Reiji became serious.

“Her hidden energy is enormous.”

He clenched his fist.

“If they learn how to control those powers...”

The crystal darkened.

“They will become a real threat.”

For the first time, Reiji was no longer laughing.

Saving the Girl

Meanwhile, Airi and Rina returned to the little girl.

Airi knelt beside her.

“Are you okay?”

The girl nodded.

“Thank you...”

Rina smiled.

“Your parents are probably looking for you.”

Airi took the girl's hand.

“Don't worry. We'll help you find them.”

After searching the area, they finally found the girl's parents.

The mother immediately ran toward her daughter.

“My child!”

She hugged her tightly.

“Thank goodness you're safe!”

Airi smiled.

“She's okay.”

The father looked at the two girls.

“Thank you for helping her.”

Airi and Rina exchanged a glance.Neither knew what to say.

They couldn't exactly explain that they had transformed into mysterious warriors and fought a monster.

So Airi simply smiled.

“We're just glad she's safe.”

The Secret Meeting

After everything was over, Airi and Rina returned to normal.

Their strange warrior outfits disappeared, leaving them in their ordinary clothes.

The Miracle Phones remained in their hands.

Airi stared at hers.

“We really need to talk about this.”

Rina nodded.

“Definitely.”

“About the stars...”

“And the Miracle Phones.”

“And the monster.”

“And why we transformed.”

Airi sighed.

“There are way too many questions.”

Rina looked at her phone thoughtfully.

“Then we should investigate everything carefully.”

Airi smiled.

“Tomorrow?”

Rina shook her head.

“Tonight.”

Airi blinked.

“Tonight?”

“My house is quiet. We can examine the Miracle Phones and discuss everything without anyone interrupting us.”

Airi thought for a moment.

“Okay. I'll come over.”

Rina nodded.

“Then it's settled.”

The two girls looked at their Miracle Phones.

Neither of them knew what other secrets the devices contained.

Neither knew why the stars had chosen them.

And neither knew how many battles were waiting ahead.

But one thing was certain.

Their lives had changed forever.
