The Deal

As he did every day, Ken came to see if the tower was intact or not. He was checking to see if there were any problems with its working or if it was giving strange signals. But the machine did not show any disorders or beeped. It was quiet as usual.

So he decided to return to his cabin to continue his work and gathered his stuff.

But when he turned his back to the tower and started walking towards the forest, he heard a sound,

"Ken... Are- You- There?"

He slowly approached the device and held the radio to contact back,

He said,

"Yes. I can hear you."

"Ken- You- Hear-"

The device wasn't working at all. There was just a cut and sizzling sound that came out of the radio. 

It looked like the device was dying or something. So he played with the settings of the device and tried to fix it.

"Even though I double-checked the damn thing. It still doesn't work properly."

"Ken- You- Hear-"

He then got very angry and hit the device shouting,

"Come on!"

"Ken, Can you hear me?"

The device finally worked and gave out proper sounds. It was now working very well and didn't break again.

So Ken said once more,

"Yes. I can hear you."

"Finally. I'm trying to contact you for the last thirty minutes. It could have been important you know?"

"Say what you have to say, Elsa."

"Okay, okay, big guy. I will tell you why I called you."

She then added,

"A couple of young people came to you a few days ago, didn't they? They visited me too."

Ken was very surprised by what he heard. 

How did she find out so fast? And how could she know? 

Although he didn't give Elsa any information about it, he felt like she was watching him all this time.

So he asked slowly and slightly shocked,

"Was there a person named Ora-"

"Yeah, Yeah! There was someone that had that name! And there was a girl with him!" She said as she interrupted him.

She then added,

"But I have to ask you something else."

Ken was getting angrier at her confusing talking style so he said slightly angry,

"Say what you have to say and stop beating around the bush."

"Can you help me to find them?"

"Find them? Why do I have to find the-"

She interrupted him once more and said,

"I have a few things I suspect, and I need you to help me with them. You just have to trust me on this one. "

Ken was furious at Elsa's insistence. After all this time, her sudden request for help also made him angry.

So he said,

"I'm not helping you, Elsa. We can't waste our time fighting over useless things."

Elsa then said,

"Okay, then so you don't want that handbook that I found recently?"

He quickly leaned towards the table and said,

"What did you say?"

"Nah ah! You have to do what I say if you want me to give it to you."

She then added,

"Do you accept the offer?"

He got angry at first but the memories of the past he carried and the sense of wonder had overwhelmed him.

So he accepted and said,

"Tell me what I have to do."

"Okay great."

She then added,

"Chase down Orano Tatsumi all the way to where he goes. Don't worry about getting out of the forest and use the crystals that I gave you. They will hold the gate for a week but I don't think that you will be out there that long too. So when you finally catch up to him, send me some information about the situation. And if something bad happens or you can't reach out to me, I will find a way. So keep in contact."

Even if Ken didn't want to get involved, he couldn't miss the chance to get his hands on something he's been looking for all these years. So he closed the device, took a crystal, and headed for the Black Forest.

And after walking for a while, he got somewhere in the Black Forest, stood there, and pulled out a yellow crystal. 

These crystals were named "Odefe" and they were crystals that could get filled with magical energy. Maybe if it was a normal species, they couldn't hold such a spell, but because Ken took a special kind from Elsa, they could hold it because of their huge capacity.

And after he took out the crystal, he then approached a spell that was floating in the air and pushed the crystal towards it.

The spell that was in front of him was a spell that had the same shape as the "Rift" spell and it was standing in the air. There was also a chain-shaped transparent spell that covered it and helped it to stay closed.

After he held it towards it, a spell appeared around him.

At first, it was just blowing like the wind around him and the spell. But after a couple of seconds, a glowing rope appeared. This rope was a rope connected between chains and Ken to each other, but as soon as the Crystal touched the spell, the rope concentrated on the Crystal.

He was now free, and he could get away from there even if it was for a week.

And he once again packed his things and headed for Idrisud.

Now there was one more person that joined the fight.

(Two days later, At Idrisud)

Orano and Caitrin finally arrived at Idrisud, and the battle was only six hours away. And all the Knights were either waiting for Nuzuki by surrounding Rawara Lake, or they were trying to help the people by convincing and trying to get them away from there.

While everyone was worried about the situation and talked about it, Orano and Caitrin finally met Lydia and Yuma again on some corner of the street. 

But this time they had Miko and Bachi with them. It was very surprising for them to meet each other again in such a short time. But since they were so curious to find out what had happened to them, they quickly approached them and started talking,

Orano said,

"So they couldn't help themselves and told you about the plan, huh?"

Miko took out a letter and said,

"I'm sorry, but I thought we should inform them."

Caitrin asked curiously,

"What are you guys are talking about? I don't remember Yuma and you two meet each other before."

Yuma said,

"Actually in fact, when we left Besia, Tatsumi sent us to inform Miko and Bachi by putting a letter into our pockets. And it looks like he did the same to Miko and Bachi. 

In the letter, he told Miko and Bachi to call all the creature hunters here and told us to get and give information from them by meeting in a secret place. In that period of time, we actually met and found a chance to know each other."

Then he looked at Orano and added with a smile,

"Actually, it really surprised us for you to think such a thing. But don't you think it is a fifty to fifty situation?"

"Even if it is, we still have fifty percent chance. So that is why we are going to use it." Orano replied as he bowed down his head.

Lydia said,

"So it is the best thing we could do, for now, right?"

After Orano's word, the atmosphere became a more pessimistic one. They were all aware of their situation and aware of the impending danger. And now they were looking at each other with certainty.

They all knew, that they had no way back from this point.
