Tanimaki and the Dragon Hunt (Part 5)

“I-I’m gonna go help Bianca, meow!”

Tanimaki’s face turned red as he awkwardly made his way toward the counter.

“Do you think Tanimaki’s fallen for Bianca? I mean, she’s beautiful and all, but I’m not sure I could handle someone that cold.”

Debiru muttered with a pout.

“If he wants to help her, that’s fine. I’m the only one who can read the ancient script anyway.”

As Mayutan spoke, one particular book caught his eye.

“This is... a book about the legendary magic known as the Climax Series!”

Mayutan was so excited that he forgot he was in a library and accidentally raised his voice.

“The Climax Series? That magic really exists? You mean the one from the myths, right?”

Debiru eagerly leaned over to peer at the book, but he couldn’t make heads or tails of what was written in it.

“This could be just what we need... If you can master it, Debiru, we might actually be able to defeat Undo!”

Mayutan’s eyes shone with curiosity and hope.

“Mayutan, decipher it for me! I swear I’ll master it!”

Debiru was just as excited. Until now, they hadn’t had even the slightest hope of defeating Undo.
