Chapter 1:

Power

"You guys might be wondering, why  do we have powers?  Well that happened because the 3 gods that each control a part of the earth. Decided to give us powers for us to defend our planet incase a big threat came upon us. As you guys know that did not go as they planned. Many humans used their powers for their own good, did crimes and many people got hurt. And made society a mess for a long while. Thats until the government created the CCU. Or the Crime Containment Unit. They fight the criminals that use their powers for bad. They are what brought balance upon the earth. And because of that it's not a surprise that everyone looks up to them." The history professor talked more about the history of this world. But the students have heard that many, many times.  But their eyes were all fixed on one thing, the clock. "RIIIIING" With that ringing noise, high school was over. Everyone ran out the door, everyone except Sando. A quiet and introverted kid, that as every single kid dreamed about being part of the CCU. But.... his power did not really help him when it comes down to it.

Sando walked into a empty house once again. His dad was working outside of town, while his mom was at the hospital at an extra shift. A thing that I forgot to mention is that even tough they have power, society continued with a normal atmosphere to it. With people still having jobs as doctors and teachers. "Wow I really finished high school" He tough out loud. "Well guess I have to pick a college." At that exact moment he locked his sight at a pamphlet on top of his desk. It read. BE A HERO, JOIN THE POLICE ACADEMY OF CCU!  TRY OUT REGISTRATION UP TO JUNE 30th. He then looked at his phone.  The date was June 29th. "It's now or never." He joked to himself. But deep inside, he knew it was true. This was his only chance to enrol in the CCU. As he was thinking his battery died. "Wow thats a first" he thought. Well all he needed  was 2 seconds to charge it back up. Yes, our main characters power is to create a electric charge.  But I would not be telling you this if there wasn't a catch. His electric current is so small that it can only charge a phone or a small electric device. And if he used it on a human it would be weaker than a bug bite. Thats why his dream was only a dream. He did not have a power strong enough to make it happen. And everyone around him made him realise that he was never going to make it. He actually only had the pamphlet because his dad gave it to him. His dad left around 3 months ago for a business trip.  His last words before leaving were "You can be whatever you set your mind into." His dads words really stuck with him. He did not have a big connection with his dad. He always went on really long business trips so they never really had a chance to do anything together. Well there he was, standing with the pamphlet in his hands. He put his information in the registration file, and was one click away from absolutely changing his destiny. For good or bad. It could be good because he would live with no regrets about not doing it. And for bad because only 2% of the people who do the test pass, but he is not worried about that. He is more worried about the 60% who come out of that test with severe injuries. And the 20% that come out with life changing injuries. But in between having regret about doing it and having regret about not doing it.  His dads words stuck with him. "You can be whatever you set your mind into."  Thats when he clicked the button, and it was done. In one week he would be doing the most dangerous test of his life.
