Chapter 7:

#7: Regret

The Pink Witch

The Pink Witch continued:

“Brought you what you most desire, what you never forgot, what bittered your heart for twenty one years...”

Listening to that, the king fell to his knees and tears ran down his face.

The Pink Witch said then:

“Yes, I brought you what you regret rejecting at twenty one years ago... my father..."

Listening those words, the whole kingdom knelt to the princess.

They no longer want to regret and live in silence, because of the king's decision to reject their own daughter, just because she was beautiful.

At that moment, all the wizards and witches in the kingdom uncovered and showed their true being, they weren't ugly or dark neither cold or gray.

Each one had it’s on shine, every color of the rainbow.

When the king saw such a thing, he realized how wrong, selfish and stuck he had been, trapped in ideas of ancient times, after all who said that wizards and witches had to be ugly?

“My daughter, forgive me for what I’ve done, now I see that I’ve lost the reason but I can't go back, I'm glad you're here and proud of who you are. From now on you will rule the kingdom, everything will be as you wish...”

The princess replied:

“I don’t intend to rule, just advice and guide, it will be all as people wish...”

The king was so proud to see that his daughter was determined, but conscious and prudent, certainly she will guide her people well.

But on the king's face, there was still some hurt and sadness.

So the princess step off from the back of her faithful friend and right behind was her protector. The queen, her mother.

The king, still incredulous and confused, embraced his wife and daughter and the people sighed with relief.

From then on, the king dedicated himself only to his daughter and teach her everything he knew.

Her mother watch that happily.

The princess renamed the kingdom from “Kingdom of Wizards and Witches” to “Rainbow Kingdom”, because as she said one day:

“We aren’t wizards, witches or fairies, we are just different and unique creatures, each with it’s own gift, we must assume and respect each one and our differences because...

...EACH BEING IS SPECIAL, ALL HAVE SOMETHING TO TEACH AND SOMETHING TO LEARN...
