Debuting the Sanryosuimon Defense [Special]

At the chess club, Okisato opened his game by moving his pawn to a3. His opponent, a student from the chess club, moved his pawn to e5.

"Playing your favorite opening?" Mimoko scowled as Okisato moved his pawn to e3.

"Yes, but today, a new variation," Okisato nodded as his opponent moved his pawn to d5.

Mimoko's eyes widened before reforming to a scowl as Okisato moved his rook to a2. "And that is?"

"I dub it the Sanryosuimon Defense, or the Japanese Opening: Sanryosuimon Defense," Okisato responded as his opponent moved his pawn to f5.

"And you're testing this out on the rookies," Mimoko sighed as Okisato moved his pawn to d4.

"Why not?" Okisato asked as his opponent moved his pawn to g5.

"I don't want them to get discouraged after losing to such opening," Mimoko snarled into Okisato's ear as Okisato checked his opponent by moving his queen to h5.

"Isn't this sort of thing the perfect learning experience for new players?" Okisato whispered back as his opponent moved his king to d7.

Mimoko let out a sigh and conceded the point as Okisato moved his knight to f3 and Okisato's opponent moved his king to e6. "Fine, you win this round," she sighed as Okisato gave a check by capturing the pawn at g5 with his knight.

And indeed after king f6 from his opponent, Okisato certainly was winning as he gave another check in the form of queen f7, forcing his opponent to capture the knight at g5 with his king.

"Well, I guess this is a nice mating sequence," Mimoko sighed as Okisato moved his pawn to e4, checking his opponent and prompting said opponent to move his king to h4.

"Check. I should submit it for the puzzle rotation," Okisato nodded as he moved his pawn to g3, forcing his opponent's king to g4.

"Or the flash chess rotation," Mimoko sighed as Okisato checked his opponent by moving his pawn to h3.

"Or both," Okisato shrugged as his opponent moved his king to f3. "Checkmate. Seems the Sanryosuimon Defense is solid," he nodded as he moved his knight to d2, winning the game.

"Say that only after it's proven itself at the highest level of play," Mimoko snarled.
