Fire in the sky

//The next day at the office. Aiya is very troubled by the events of the previous day. She believes what happened was no coincidence.

Aiya: Mika, can you research the warehouse from yesterday and let me know who owns the building.

Mika: Right boss, I’ll get right on that!

Aiya: The man in the black hood seems familiar. Mika, I’m going to the base, I need to go talk to someone about him.

//Aiya leaves to go to the base and talk with her dad’s best friend, Matsu, the one that’s seen the video of the black hood man from the altercation at the lab.

//Aiya is in the office of Matsu, she is describing the incident from yesterday.

Aiya: …And there was a black hood man standing on the top platform, looked as if he was the leader. He noticed he also had a tattoo on wrist…

Matsu nervously exclaims: Stay complete away for this one!!! Next time you see him run the other way.

Aiya: Huh? What? You know I can’t do that…

Matsu: Tsk… Yes, I know you all too well. But he is extremely dangerous. I’m actually surprised you are still alive.

Aiya: You know I can handle myself.

//Aiya is not happy with the situation, but reluctantly agrees to not pursue the situation any further for the time being.

//Aiya returns to the office. Mika is also there waiting to share what he found out about the warehouse.

Mika: Hey there, how did your meeting go?

Aiya: Nothing good really, but something isn’t right about this whole situation. I’ve got a bad vibe from Matsu. But please tell me you have something?

Mika: Of course I do, tada! Look here.

Aiya (reading): The Nehan Corporation, a plastics manufacture specializing in medical equipment. The owner is the Baroness Liza? The King’s cousin?

Mika: Yep, the one and only.

Aiya: Wait, go back to her picture. What? I thought I recognized her, she’s the one from the robbery outside the restaurant. This is getting more and more suspicious by the moment. What’s the connection? Why was the black hooded man there, and why is he trying to kill us?

Mika: She’s been in the news a lot lately too… wants some kind of reform within the government that has apparently not sat to well with the King.

Aiya: I need to investigate the warehouse more, there’s got to be something we missed there? Hey, where’s Hana been today?

//Just then Hana comes out of her office, her headset sitting on top of her head.

Hana: Oiy, what’s all the noise, I’m trying to concentrate on my new game, but can’t with all the commotion.

Mika: Speak of the devil…

Hana: Who me, a demon?

Aiya: Never mind that, we got some business to attend to now?

Hana: What? Right now, but…

//Aiya turns and glares at Hana.

Hana: Aw… Okay… (grumbles under her breath).

//As they walk out the office Hana turns toward Mika. She shakes her tushy at Mika and says with an evil grin.

Hana: Demon this lover boy!

//Mika face turns bright red.

//Aiya sees this and bops Hana on the head.

Hana: owie! Did you have to hit me so hard.

Aiya: Don’t corrupt him!

//Aiya turns to Mika and winks at him. Mika’s whole face suddenly lights up and he puts on a huge grin.

Hana: Grrrr, first I get pulled away from my game and then I get smacked in the head…. This just isn’t my day?

//The girls arrive at the warehouse and sneak up to the fence surrounding the building. Suddenly a tanker trucker comes speeding out of the warehouse followed by a black SUV. They Their tires squeal as take the corner onto the main road. They don’t even stop at the red light; they bolt right on through.

Hana: Man, what’s up with that? What’s the rush?

Aiya: I don’t know. Come on, let’s get a better look inside the warehouse.

//The girls enter the warehouse and start to look for clues as to what is happening.

Aiya: Let’s start on the second floor and work our way down. You go that way and I’ll start over her. Holler if you find anything.

//As Aiya walks a little further, she notices a red light glowing on one of the steel pillars. As she gets closer, she sees numbers counting down, it’s now at 25. She notices wires connecting each of the steel pillars and red glowing lights on each. Aiya immediately turns and starts to run toward Hana who has gone in the opposite direction.

Aiya: No, no, no! Hana run!! we need to get out of here now!!!

//In an instant Aiya has caught up to Hana, but there is no time to find another exit, so she grabs Hana and jumps out a window. The two girls go flying through the glass window just as an explosion goes off.

//Aiya lands in a dumpster full of packing materials and Hana lands just outside the dumpster on some boxes. Aiya slowly pulls herself outside the dumpster and her ears are ringing, just like that fateful night. Aiya frantically looks around for Hana and finds her lying underneath some boxes lying motionless.

Aiya: No, not again, this can’t be happening! Hana wake up!!

//Suddenly Hana takes in a big gasp of air, she had the wind knock out of her from the fall. The girls have several cuts on their body from the shattered glass. Aiya is very relieved Hana is alive and picks her up and starts to carry her away.

Aiya: I got you Sis… we need to get out of here before anyone sees us here.

//Aiya manages to carry Hana back to the office where she lays her on the couch. Aiya lays her head on Hana’s chest and starts to cry.

Aiya: Please don’t die on me too, you can’t leave me alone?

//Aiya then passes out from exhaustion, falling asleep on Hana’s chest.

//The next moring Aikiko and Naomi come into the office looking to help with some cleaning and chores around the office. But instead, much to their surprise they find the sisters lying in the office all bloodied and bruised.

Aikiko (calm says): Hurry home and get my bag please.

Naomi (without any hesitation): Yes, mother, I’ll be right back!

//It’s as if the two had done this before.

//Aikiko lies Aiya’s head on her lap.

Aikiko: You’ll be okay, I’ve got you know.

//Aiya still dazed reaches her hand up for Aikiko’s face.

Aiya (weakly says): I’m sorry Mother.

Aikiko (closes her eyes and mumbles): No, it is I who should be sorry.
