Recovery and Discovery

//A couple of days later Aiya suddenly awakens from what seems to be a nightmare. Mika and Hana have been staying in the same room constantly watching over her for the past two days, eagerly awaiting the moment she awakens.

//Hana wakes up Mika and they rush over to Aiya. Hana give Aiya a huge hug.

Hana: Calm down sis, you’re okay, your safe.

Aiya: Where are we?

Hana: We are at the Baroness’ home. It’s a long story but rest now and we’ll talk later.

Aiya: I’ve been having a terrible dream for a while now.

Hana: I know, but it’s over now….

//The “Good Doctor” is also in the room and starts to take her vitals. She then gives Aiya a sedative to keep her relaxed and put her back to sleep.

Aikiko strokes Aiya’s hair: Rest now my sweet Angel… the worse is now over…

//The Baroness and her son enter the room.

Baroness: How is she Doctor?

Aikiko: She is doing well but is resting again. She’s strong and will heal quickly, so I’m sure she’ll make a full recovery.

Baroness: Good to hear, we’ll have to come back at a later time to properly thank her for everything she did.

//The Baroness looks at her son, smiles at him and nods. He then drops his mother’s hand and walks over to Aiya and give her a big hug while she is still asleep.

Son whispers: Thank you Miss Aiya.

// All in the room are touched by the sentiment. They all wipe tears from their eyes.

Aikiko turns to Mika and Hana: We’ll need to take it real slow, if we tell her to much at one time it may send her into a permanent state of shock and denial. She’ll need a lot of time to mentally recover from this. And maybe one day we can tell her about the serum her mother developed.

The Serum – Hana’s and Aiya’s Mother did complete an antidote serum and hid it in the best and safest place she could think of. She had given Aiya and Hana with the antidote to not only protect them, but to also keep it safely hidden, in the sister’s blood. What she didn’t realize was the remarkable power of the antidote. She was killed before she had the opportunity to reveal the secret to Diachi, although he always suspected that the antidote was completed and safely hidden from the Royal family.

While under the care of the Doctor, she took some blood samples to make sure she was free from any drugs or toxins they may have given her during her imprisonment. That is when they noticed something unusual about the blood samples. At first, they thought it was a toxin, but after further study it proved to have some remarkably regenerative tissue healing antibodies. They found that Hana had the same antibodies in her blood. The scientist working for the Baroness quickly developed a serum from the antibodies and tried it on a badly wounded Simetra, and much to their amazement it not only reversed the effects of the Simetra process, but it also helped the patient recover quicker from his other ailments. While it didn’t provide the same strengthen powers that it gave Aiya and Hana, It nonetheless was being hailed as a miracle cure, and her mother was now regarded as a hero to the people of Loenhess. It was later found that Scientist working for the King had altered the serum that Ena had developed, and their research led to the development of the super soldier army of Simetra. Their serum greatly enhanced the size and strength of the subjects, but it only worked on children whose bone structure and organs were still in development and greatly decreased the life span of the subjects. The Subjects life span was generally 5-7 years. Thus began the many disappearances of young children in the Kingdom. They also knew that Ena was working on antidote that could reverse the effects of the Simetra process, hence the elimination process began of anyone with this knowledge.

//It’s weeks later and Aiya has made a full recovery from her wounds, thanks in part to the antibodies in her blood, but her memory of the events are still not clear. Aiya has not been told the full truth about what happened during those few days in the Castle basement. They left her to believe for the time being that they were wounds suffered during the rescue attempt.

//Mika keeps a constant eye on her now and he has moved into the home, in a separate bedroom, to help Hana care for their precious Aiya.

//A couple of days later, Aiya returns back to the office for the first time since the rescue….. she is eager to get back to work and onto the next case…. She is greeted by Hana and Mika who are hard at work in the office…

//Mika has a huge grin on his face as she walks into the office.

Hana pauses for a moment: Well look who it is…. Welcome back Sis.

Aiya smiles and takes a deep breaths: It’s good to be back….. So what’s next?
