No Regrets, No Remorse

//Aiya is next seen chained up in Garo’s secret chamber cut up and bleeding going in and out of consciousness. This has been happening for about three days now. At night when he is through with her, he would make her stand on a wooden post with a noose around her neck. If she fell asleep, she would be strangled to death. Needless to say, Garo was taking his time and finding enjoyment in this slow painful process.

//It’s the next day and Garo enter the chamber in a good mood. He walks up to the chained up Aiya and slaps her hard in the face. She awakens but her vision very blurred from the lack of sleep.

Garo: Good your awake…. Now let’s see now where have I not cut you yet. I know, the bottom of your feet. I hear that the bleeding if very hard to stop from there. Well, let see.

//He begins to cut the bottom of her feet as she cries in agony and loses consciousness again.

Garo: Hummm, to bad. See that she doesn’t die yet, I’m not thru with her yet.

//Later that night Aiya is stood back on the post with the noose around her neck. This time with her feet cut up she believes she won’t be able to last through the night standing. Aiya gives it her all to stay standing but after a while she has come to the realization that her time is up and she is ready to admit defeat and end it all. She steps off the post and the noose tighten and starts to choke her.

//Just then a man grabs her legs and puts her back on the stool. He then cuts the rope loose. Aiya falls into his grasp. He gently lays her down on the floor and leaves the room when he hears voice coming from down the hall.

//Two women then enter the room.

Woman 1: She’s in here, come quick.

Woman 1: Oh Aiya, I’m so so sorry, this is all my fault. Let’s get you out of here. We're taking you home.

Woman: Please take her to my home, we will care for her there, it’s the least I can do. I have one other thing to do before we leave. Come with me let’s finish this once and for all. (Speaking to the other woman there).

//The two women are the Baroness Liza and Hestia. Mika had told them what had happened and how the sisters almost made it out with her son but were captured just before they could escape. He told them all that the Garo had done. The Baroness became enraged and using her influence she was able to convince the Military to intervene and help rescue the sisters and her son. However, little does the Baroness know, the “Business Associate” was actually the final piece that fully convinced the Military to intervene. He had a couple of favors owed him from the head of the Military.

//The King caught word of the rescue attempt and managed to barely escape once he saw his mightly Simetra had fallen. Mika had told the Military how subdue the Simetra, so the children soldiers were rendered unconscious but not harmed.

//The elusive brother was however miraculously captured during the rescue, once again thanks to the intervention of the “Business Associate”. The two women were headed over to where he was being held.

Baroness: Well, well now, hello Cousin. What a fine mess you’ve gotten yourself into again. This time your brother is not here to save you.

Garo: Don’t play innocent with me Liza, you knew what was happening, and it wasn’t until it hit close to home that you decided to do anything.

Baroness: You’re absolutely right, and it’s a burden I have lived with for far too long. And one that I will sadly have to live with for the rest of my life. I will spend the rest of my days trying to make restitution to those that have suffered because of this. Unlike you, I do have a conscious.

Garo: Aw, what a sob story. I have no regrets, no remorse for my actions and what has happened. I did what I had to, to protect myself and the Family.

Baroness: And that’s exactly why you must pay the price. You will be given the same option that you gave Aiya. You will be placed on a post with a noose around your neck for 4 days. After which time if you are still standing, we will be given to opportunity to stand trial in front of the new Royal Family, with our own brand of Justice.

Garo laughs: What a joke, you and your kind are so weak, you don’t know how to rule these people. They must be led with an iron fist, be taught to fear and respect the ruling family, that is the only way to keep them in line.

//Garo still laughing is then placed on same post as Aiya with his neck in a noose and hands and feet chained to the floor.

Baroness exhales deeply: I wish I could say good luck, but I really can’t find it in my heart to do so for you, I’d be lying to myself. Goodbye dear cousin.

//The Baroness and Hestia exit the room as Garo continues to laugh.

//Hestia then “pretends” to search for her phone.

Hestia: Dang it, I must have dropped my phone in the room, I’ll be right back.

//She enters the room and walk straight up to Garo who has stopped laughing, and stares at him for a moment. She knows it must all end now.

Garo: What do you want peasant. Oh, don’t worry, I’ll still be here in 4 days, you can get rid of me that easily.

Hestia: Yeah, I know…. (she smirks)

Garo: What’s so fu….

//She then kicks his feet off the post and watches as the noose tightens around his neck and his eyes turn to blood red. She then places a device under his feet and starts a timer. She starts to walk out of the room as he continues to gasp for air but pauses for a second. He finally stops struggle and hangs their motionless.

As she exits the room: No regrets, no remorse…

//the Baroness has waited just down the hall. As Hestia approaches the Baroness says…

Baroness: Is it done?

Hestia: Yes, Ma’am. It has been taken care of…

Baroness sighs: Good… no regrets, no remorse….

//Shortly afterwards a fire starts in the room where the brother lye motionless. His body is engulfed by the flames. He is now where he truly belongs….
