Chapter 11:

Ex:02 Lost Arc (iii) The Legend Of Lost Paradise 2

Lost Paradise

Earth.

The Origin planet.

A planet where all of humanity came into existence and evolved.

A planet that is supposed to be a legend.

A planet that should never exist.

And yet, Zeta Nurender Wion stood there in front of her holding a black cube in her hand smiling as she claimed that ‘Earth does exist’. Aurora has never in her life has felt so annoyed yet so curious like she was feeling today.

“How?”

“What do you mean how?” Zeta countered, “Did you really think humanity’s existence began on different planets throughout the galaxy?”

“Yes!” Aurora replied bewildered. “Are you even aware of the current population of humans throughout the Galaxy! It's 500 Quadrillion, so tell me how am I supposed to believe that a single planet had the capacity to hold Quadrillion humans.”

“Of course not. No planet in this entire universe has that kind of capacity,” She replied. “But I am talking about the beginning here White Cat. Look at it like this: every species originates from somewhere. Even the microorganism or the near-immortal elves, at present they are large in number and are living in various planets throughout the galaxy but if we trace them back to their roots then we are bound to find that origin! A single place a planet where they came into existence from nowhere and developed through the evolutionary process and ventured into space”

Aurora thought about it and then shook her head, this was making no sense. Different life originating from one planet? Developing through an evolutionary process?-But how?

“What do you mean?”

An annoyed expression crossed Zeta’s face for a brief moment before she cleared her throat and stated, “Elysia, did you know was founded over twelve thousand years ago?”

“Yes,” She replied irritatedly.

“So what do you think it was before humanity settled on the planet?”

“Empty Planet…?” She replied, her hands prodding her chin. “At least of human life.”

“And where do you think humans came from?”

“What do you mean where they came from? Of course they…” Aurora’s eyes widened, as she bit her nails. Where did humans come from?-Earth?-No, that’s not possible. Elysia is not the oldest planet in the Galaxy and even in the records it says it was founded by the Empire but what about the Empire's capital world.

“The oldest planet in the Galaxy?”

Zeta gazed at the mauve-haired girl with joy, her fingers cascading the black cube she had been holding ever since they entered the inner chamber of her living quarters. Standing by her scarlet-covered bed she smirked, “Yes. And where did humans come from?”

“The oldest planet,” Aurora replied. “The old capital Kepler.”

“Yes,” Zeta replied, her eyes twitching as she gazed at the cuber in her hand. “Or at least that is how it was supposed to be. But fate is a cruel mistress according to the Empire's oldest records; Kepler is the oldest planet in recorded galactic history but even Kepler itself was founded by ancient humans who traveled many light-years from their home.”

Aurora raised her head, “But let's say if Earth does exist and it is the Original planet then why do we only hear about it in Myths and Epics.”

“Tell me White Cat, what do you think Myths and Epics are?”

“Stories of the past.”

“Correct and why would people of the past write about Earth if it doesn’t exist.”

Aurora who had been annoyed by this entire impromptu meeting was suddenly hit by curiosity to know more about this ‘Earth’ the Princess was talking about.

She really felt like the “Girl” Vulcan always called her.

“Because…” She started her fingers raised as if she was about to go into full lecture mode only for her to stop as her eyes widened in realization.

“Your Highness, you got me there” she replied earnestly. “They wrote about Earth because it might have existed in the past. But then why has no planet claimed to be Earth?”

“Funny thing is many have but none have any proof to back it up.”

“So you are going to search for this planet?”

“We are. That is our mission. Everyone present in this ship has been assembled for one purpose and that is to search for The Original Planet ‘Earth’ The Lost Paradise.” Zeta smirked.

“We?” Aurora raised her brows.

“Yes.” Zeta threw the black cube over to Aurora. “Welcome aboard White Cat.”

“I-” As soon as Aurora’s finger grazed the smooth surface of the black cube, a jolt of electricity passed through her heart sending her into shock. The color from her vision drained away as darkness engulfed her. She couldn’t see, couldn’t hear as the cold of the dark got to her.

“White Cat?” Zeta called out, “No no no Aurora!”

At 0100 hours Elysian Standard Time in the Royal Chambers of Princess Zeta, Aurora Dastune Subject 7 V13 suffered a cardiac arrest for reasons never disclosed to the public.

“How is she?” Zeta asked her scarlet eyes adoring the silver goblet in her hands.

“Her condition is now stable, your highness,” Ana replied. “But the corruption….”

“Yes? What about it?”

“I am afraid it is past the point of return.”

Zeta sighs as she purses her lips sipping the Elysian wine, it had been a long day. First Luca and now even Aurora. How much more would she have to sacrifice for the sake of this Lost Paradise? She sighed tilting her head towards the ceiling-the Greenish hue of the edge of the conduit sector filled the room as a sense of relaxation rushed through her body.

“How long does she have?”

“Ten more Nexus Drive and she is done”

“Damn you, Juno!” Zeta snapped, “You really are despicable. Did you give her the resistor booster?”

“Yes, but Your Highness if I may ask,” Ana asked, to which Zeta simply nodded asking her to ask whatever she wanted.

“What actually happened?”

“The Black Box,” She sighed. “I gave it to her, Ana. She is the only one who can inherit her wish”

Ana nodded her head as she gazed at Zeta, her face was filled with a bitter look as she sipped her wine.

“Even if she ends up dead, we have no other choice but to rely on her. She is the only one who can do it, Ana.”

“And I need to strengthen my resolve,” Ana murmured, rising from the low bow she moved towards Zeta. She waved her hands, willing the golden sword attached to the walls to levitate towards her.

“Zeta Nurender Wion, on Behalf of the Hive. We hereby arrest you for your crimes against the Lost Paradise”

Zeta smiled, as she turned around with her goblet still in her hands, “Tala its been a while”

“The individual you speak of no longer exists, it is Us/We/Hive that now carries on her Soul Origin to reverse all creation,” Ana said her eyes glowing blue as her hair came undone, in her arms she held the sword ready to attack Zeta.

“Bring it on Hive,” Zeta smirked as Ana closed in, her sword pointed towards Zeta’s heart as she hacked in, cutting the fabric of her dress, and then the world turned over for Ana.

Before she knew it her head was lying on the cold marble floor as blood showered from her decapitated body. This was her end.

Zeta’s lips curved upwards into a smile-a smile so cruel and greedy as she gazed at the corpse of her subordinate or former subordinate. Around her arms were metallic claws levitating tinged with fresh blood.

“So you finally made your move eh, Tala.” Zeta laughed. “Let the Belle begin.”

The Scarlet Princess’s Belle finally begins.

“Death is a belle, you shall dance with her till the end,

Feel her beauty under your hands, and fall captive between them.

You will be compelled to let her go, but you never can.

A/N And I finally introduce y'all to the Hive :3
