Chapter 4:

Chapter 4 The Mammoth cave

Back to the stone

The next morning, I wake up on my bed. “Ok, I have a source of food, water and I have a house too” I say to myself “Now I have to find out how to go back to New york without getting arrested” I sigh “Great”, I stand up but then I realized that my door couldn’t be open from the inside. “No, no, no, no, this is bad” I say to myself but then I see a little gap between my wall, next to the gap is the vine that will trigger the door so I just simply pull it then I just get out, “Phew, what a close call there” I say then walk out to look around. “Hmm…” I say when I look around the cave surroundings“This forest looks pretty familiar” then it’s like someone completes a jigsaw in my head “This forest looks familiar because I’ve visited this place before” I say with excitement “Which means….” I say then look back to the cave again “That’s the Mammoth cave?” I say then walk back inside “Yes, it is!” I say “Then this lake is not a normal lake, it’s the Green lake!” I shout with excitement about what I’ve discovered. “Wait a minute” I say “If this is the Mammoth cave that means I can write on the cave walls to tell the people in the present I need a rescue!” then I just start using stones to carve the wall to be a sentence. Back to the present, “Here are the words that Stone age humans carved on the Mammoth cave” a guide says while her tourists are taking pictures. “Wait Ms.Guide?” a tourist asks “Isn’t this readable?” so the guide runs to the wall “Yes, this is readable!” the guide says “This is a HUGE discovery” then the guide observes the wall “It reads, To whoever reads this my name is William Hertford. I don’t know how but I’m stuck in the Stone age and I need your help. Look to your right then you’ll see my house the Dwelling timber, go inside there will be a bed there. You can check the fingerprint or how old it is, then you’ll know I’m not joking. Then I would like to ask you a favour, can you send me a rescue please? Anyway you like, I’m getting sick of the Stone age now. Thank you” all of the tourists and the guide are shocked but they quickly call the archeologist to come and check what is going on.
