Chapter 10:
The director of the magic school is the new student, Susie Liam
Within a week of enrollment, the students had begun to adapt to this unusual situation thanks to their competence and their remarkable ability to adjust.
Initially, the fact that one of their parents or ancestors was a "wizard" was a world-shattering shock to them, because they had never sensed such a thing before.
In fact, fantasy novels were even forbidden.
The existence of magic is an absolute secret, revealed only to those who set foot inside the Enzyme Dormitory.
Even if it's a close relative, anyone who reveals this information will be sentenced to death, and the memory of the person who was told will be mercilessly erased.
Furthermore, even if there are no wizards in the bloodline, parents of those with exceptional talent are given special examination tickets, and if their child is outstanding, the path to becoming the family's first wizard opens up.
All the freshmen, upon learning the truth, spent the first three days in a daze, as if their souls had been drained. However, as they became accustomed to life in the palace, a clear sense of "understanding" began to form in their minds.
We didn't really understand the difference between privileged classes like ourselves and ordinary people.
Now I understand. We were protected by the power of "magic," and it was this exclusive special ability that allowed us to stand at the top of the world.
Gradually, they began to feel ashamed of their past lives, living without knowing the truth, and a strong ambition started to take root in their eyes.
The goal is to master the fundamentals of general education by graduation, and then gradually hone your own unique skill (specialization).
To master magic, one's own aptitude, personality, and self-control had to reach a certain level; otherwise, it was impossible.
And above all, you must engrave in your heart the ironclad rule of never letting the general public ever find out about the existence of magic. You must act as if magic doesn't exist for the rest of your life.
"Hey...how long is this going to last?
"I can't do this anymore without a housekeeper or a chamberlain."
However, contrary to the growing awareness, dissatisfaction among the freshmen increased.
For a whole week, the approximately 50 new students were forced to sleep crammed together in the main hall.
Each person's space is separated only by a thin canopy curtain. You can hear every sound, from turning over in your sleep to sighing.
