Chapter 23:

Betrayal of Friends

The director of the magic school is the new student, Susie Liam

I spend my days going to the library, tormented by guilt because my abilities are being misused.

As I gazed intently at the bookshelf, a pale blue light appeared.

There were special white magic characters mixed in there.

"All the textbooks in this boarding school are about black magic...?! But nobody seems to notice!"

Thanks to the survival-themed principal and the ingenious schemes of the demon world, the students here unknowingly become black magic practitioners.

It had been done subtly and gradually over the past few years.

The fundamental knowledge that freshmen learn is not black and white. It includes basic transformation techniques, flight methods, and medicinal herbs, among other things.

However, once you enter your second year and choose a magic specialty, you're essentially left with no choice but to study black magic.

The teachers, like the principal, were also sent from the demon world.

(What should I do now?!)

The hopeful faces of the new students flickered in and out of my mind.

(I'm sorry, everyone...)

Susie felt increasingly guilty towards her classmates who were spending time there without a second thought. And the secret she was hiding was too big for her, so she buried her face in her hands in the large principal's office.

It's breakfast time in the dining hall.

"Hey, if you don't need that bucket, can I have it?"

"Miranda eats too much. She was probably having a late-night snack too."

"Kevin, be quiet. I'm starving from dance practice."

Miranda, chosen by pure parents, still talks like a machine gun.

Kevin, a boy who secretly longed to be a wizard, had parents who were an F1 racer and a witch-like actress.

Kevin often clashed with his tutor, Natasha, and nearly left, but he persevered.

The 50 freshmen, who spend their time working closely with their mentors, have become completely accustomed to enzymes.

Not all of the third-year students are here; some are on different islands for practical training, and others are undergoing training in the human world. However, the magnificent magic they occasionally display is the envy of the freshmen.

(I'm helping to draw everyone here into black magic...)
