Chapter 1:

Act I

Phantasie’s Imagination machine

“Have you imagined...something before?”, said a voice. It talked about something innovative as the conference room was well lit, the hum of the AC filling the room with cold and humid air as opposed to the hot sun in the outside atmosphere. “Imagination is humanity's greatest gift. Einstein himself has said, ‘Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world’. Most of our literature consists of imaginative minds. J.K Rowling with her Harry Potter series, Rick Riordan with his Percy Jackson books and finally J.R.R Tolkien with his Lord of the Rings books.”, this voice belonged to Doctor Phantasie. He is a world-renowned researcher who has gotten degrees and rewards for his work in the neurological department. Today, he talks about every brain process involved in how imagination is formulated.

“Imagination can be very sweet, bitter, crude, gory, horrific, and even down-right scary, but they all have one thing in common, they are fiction”, Phantasie walks along in the room as he examines everyone’s faces if they are interested or not. “What if I told you that this imagination can be utilized- no, I am terribly sorry. Not utilized, that would yield catastrophic results but no. What if this imagination can be observed?”, as soon as Phantasie uttered such words, everyone in the room, every witness per se, had their eyes lit up as they heard, ‘Imagination can be observed’.

“Oh ho! As soon as I said those lines of words everyone here had their eyes intrigued!”, Phantasie was very proud of himself. “Yes, ladies and gentlemen. I-Doctor Phantasie-have created a machine that can view a person’s imaginative mind!”
