Chapter 8:

CONGRATULATIONS, TAEKO-SAN

Omai Murakami opened the door to her family’s home. She’d just gotten back from a friend’s house. Omai passed the shrine of Taeko Murakami. She sighed and prayed. “I’m home, onee-san.” Her parents were in the living room, watching TV with tears streaming from their eyes. “Mom? Dad? What’s wrong?” She asked. Her mother lifted her face from her hands, tears streaming down from her face. “What’s…” She turned to face the TV. The news showed a report on Miyamura Academy for Girls, the school her sister had gone to years ago. Kyoko Hanamori had killed four innocent girls and then herself. Omai’s parents had treated Kyoko like their own after Taeko passed, but just like before, they lost their oldest in that school.
All Omai could do was weep next to her parents. It’s like she lost her older sister again.
