Chapter 2: The disaster

"Hmm... I'll take an iced americano and one black coffee please.""

Would you like that to go or dine in?"

"I'll take the black coffee to go, and I'll just hold on to the iced americano.""That would be about 245.00 dollars please.""Thanks"The lady stared behind him opening her mouth, having a dumbfounded look on her face, a light shines behind the man ordering. As he looks back he mutters."Wha-What in the wor-.""swo~~osh" the sight of the man spins, and a sound of something falling fills the shop. "KYAAAAAA~~~~""Hey, get away from their it's dangerous!"Someone comes in with a fire extinguisher in his hand and hits the head the monster."Haaa~, is it dead yet"As the person who defeated the monster falls to his knees, a board suddenly appears in front of him.[CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE AWAKENED]"What the~, Hey miss can see this?""See what?"

I was looking at the reflection on the mirror and applying my mom's make up 
"Ahhh~~" I was trying to conceal the black eye and bruises that I have I hope mom doesn't notice.
'Is mom still in the living room?' I said while looking out on a small gap in the door.
After I confirm that she wasn't there I sneak out of the room without being noticed.
"Mom!~, I'm going now. see you later"
"I'll be out late later for work, so when ya get back just cook your self a meal okay!"
"Okay mom! love ya, bye I'm off!"
I was walking to school like all the other students around me.

'Ha~~, school, I hope I don't get targeted by those guys again.
They already took everything in my wallet.When I looked ahead I saw the bullies who beat me up so much that I got a black eye from it.
I hope they notice me, I got nothing on me right now.
When I looked back they were putting their arms around a fat guy with glasses, I hope he gets out fine. Even if I want to help him I cant I'll be targeted by them next if I help him."Hey!~~ you the one with the black bag.""Y-yes what can I help you with?" I say this while thinking, 'This sucks I hope they don't recognize that it's me. Just go ahead and don't mind me.'"MY, MY, MY, if it isn't our good friend, Gale. What have you been up to, well doesn't matter." seems like I'll be safe today as long as I don't anger Alec, but why does he have his hand out?"U-umm, Alec why are you?" after I said this I point to his hand that is reaching out to me "Give out your protection fee you dimwit, is it not that obvious?""But I already gave you guys my money yesterday, I don't have anything to give you anymore."When I looked at Alec's face it changed, he made it clear that from his face he doesn't care about what I do, He just wants his money."You have until the end of class to give it to me" he went close to my ear and said to me. "You know what happens if I don't have it when the class ends right."I just stood there unable to do anything. Alec goes back to his friends, and even though I didn't want to hear it, they were to loud to be unheard."Man, you sure are going easy on him. what if he goes early and doesn't give us the money."
"Am I, I'll beat him up anyways so it doesn't matter if he runs.""Hey, let me get a punch in or two alright.""Sure, that's fine hahaha! you need to pay me per punch alright?"

"I continue walking to school like nothing happened. And now my legs hurt cause of getting beaten up.
 If I just had money I could have taken the bus.I'm pathetic, I always let them treat me as a punching bag, it's been like this ever since grade school. I was living a peaceful life being unnoticed to these types of thing, until that guy became a awakener.'sigh~, I wish I become an awakener too, I think would be easier to earn money if I was an awakener then mom wouldn't need to keep doing overtime.

When walking I noticed that there seemed to be something different near the road that I usually take. I noticed that there were militaries near the school on the way here."What's happening? Why're there militaries near our school?"

I muttered this without thinking."There was a dungeon spotted near here. And a S-class at that.
" My classmate Yuna answered to my muttering."Then won't this place become a war zone?"

"I don't exactly know if it's true, but be vigilant, I heard earlier from an officer at the site that they don't know how long the dungeon's been there.""Man, so which guild would handle the dungeon?""I don't know. Would there even be anybody that would want to handle a dungeon of the highest rank?""I guess it would take some time to create a party for people who are strong enough to be formed.""I'm going now I don't want to be late for HR. Oh and one more thing I passed the site where the dungeon was at, about a week ago, and I saw that it was there. I reported it but they couldn't really take action cause it was an S-class. Just in case be careful for the whole week.""I guess we should stay out of the way." it would be better if I tell mom about this, it's better to be safe than sorry.'Fu*k, I'm gonna be late for HR at this rate.'After Class I thought that my day at school was going to go smooth from the start of the class until it ended until."Hey, you fuc**ng ret*rd where's my money, HUH"They remembered that I still didn't give their money."Haha~, seems like he really likes getting beat up.""Here, lemme hold him up for you."As the lackey holds me up Alec throws a body punch at me."Kuh~, Cough, cough" "Hey, Gale you should really stop making me wait and just give me my money.""Hehe, looks like he wants to be beaten up rather than lose money, go on Alec I'll hold him for ya.""Man, hitting his body is making my hands sore it only hits bones, I'll call it a day after this, ready your face Gale I'll go for your face this time."As Alec throws his fist at me I close my eyes and brace myself for the impact, I'm shivering but all I can do is to take it and get it over with.A few seconds of waiting to be hit, I was bracing myself for it but it never came. I opened my eyes to see a fist straight at my face. I was confused, why wasn't I hit. I looked at my feet there was liquid that came in front of me. I looked at the side of the fist and came to see a terrified look on Alec's face. I was unsure why he looked like that. But then I remembered what Yuna said earlier.'Oh and one more thing I passed the site where the dungeon was at, about a week ago, and I saw that it was there.'I looked behind me and saw an eye looking at us. I came to realize that it had already been to late.
