Ich bin Athena

Once again I we were beat up by the Kast family, they are a family of demons. They pulled our hair and dragged us to the steel lockers.   We have been enduring these attacks since they came here from East Prussia. I study music in the Kaiserin Institute, a music school funded by our ancestors. We get bullied everyday. They destroy Lyn's art and break her glasses.

"Come on Kaiserin, fight and stand up!" 

I don't scream. I'm very submissive towards them. I don't like fighting. Two are sisters and the other is a cousin. 

"I don't want to go to school." I told Thorja

"Why?" 

"The Kast family hates me and beats us everyday."

"Arghhh, come on! They don't hate you! They know the Kaiserins and they have respect for mana. They are inviting you to fight." 

"Why I was born into this family, I hate it! You reformed the Kaiserins, can't you do it again? Everything is mana this, fighting that." 

"Don' say that you bitch ass twat! Lyncette fought a lot for the freedom of our country and we will honor her legacy! Or you want those ugly ass beasts  Marianites to rule our life? Just look  at the United Corporation ! A fucking shithole ruled by dark fantasy books. The Kast family are decent people, they are our allies. They are provoking you so you can join their fight to keep protecting our country." 

Thorja talks very rudely but she's very kind and I even like her more than Nozomi, my second mother. Thorja seems to drank water of the fountain of youth.  She's very honest. Then Athaxia, my direct mother comes. 

"Thorja, that was seventy years ago, today we live in total peace with no war. You sound like a role-player. let Barbara alone. She just wants to study. With her studies, she will guide her country but not with fighting. You haven't changed old woman, kukuku." Athaxia had a smug and cynic gesture 

I think like Thorja. I want to protect my country and the world but I don't believe violence solves anything. I think I will talk with the Kasts. 

I will go to school. I will befriend them. 

Lyn stayed at home because her anxiety made her very sick, Lyn just wait, I'll fight for you.

I take my broom and ride to school. I see the beautiful city of Aachen, the city where I was born. People laughing , smiling  and listening  to street artists. Aachen was funded by my ancestor Lyncette Kaiserin in 800. She protected the village by the Marianites. Lyncette was a shy girl but knew she was responsible for this. At the end, Lyncette fought alone the Marianittes along with her Lynx, Aachen. The city was named in her honor but actually, Aachen is a river. She named the Lynx after the river. Since then, the Lynx became our family animal. Our motto is: "The silent light that guides  the city." I identify like Lyncette, I'm shy but I know I'm very responsible, it's that I don't know how to project my ideas. 

I stop at the Aachen statue at the center of the city. 

"Aachen, what would Lyncette do?" 

Everyday I stand here looking for answers. 

I must speak to the Kasts.

I drop off my broom determined. 

"Kast! I want to talk, I want to be your friend." 

They turn around. 

"huh? A friend of a loser? No way." Sabine speaks

"Please, this is a peaceful country, violence is not okay." 

"Total peace is bad, it's our job to conserve peace. We conserve it through violence, you are our enemy. The Kaiserins were our inspiration to fight,  we never realized that their heir was so weak. You are an obstacle that must be eliminated." 

Sabine takes me and once again beats me up. I tried to push her but it was impossible. Once again I fall defeated. 

They are marianites. People who think like this are marianites! That's the only language they speak 

The next day Lyn comes much better but after Music Theory I don't see her. I try looking everywhere but I can't find her. I can hear her voice. We communicate telepathically. "Barbara! Barbara!" . It's coming by the bathroom. Sick bastards, they cornered her. 

I breathe deeply. I knew this would end like this. There no choice. I was born to fight, pacifism was always an illusion. There's no turning back. My angers fills my veins and mana. I must eliminate people like the Kasts. I will protect the weak. I will use violence to protect them. They don't have to fight anymore, I will carry their suffering on my back. 

I open the door and the first thing I do is throw the trash bin to distract them. They scream in disgust being filled with trash because that's what they are. Parasites of society. I take Sabine's head and smash it on the toilet, very deep in the toilet making her drink piss. Sabine was bleeding. The others watched in terror. Terrified. That's how I want them. I want people to fear me. I do a double kick to the sisters , take Anna's head and smash her neck with the toilet door. Magna starts pissing herself on fear. "Please Barbara, it's okay, you don't have to do this." I grab her and throw her through the door. 

"Lyn, are you ok?" 

"But Barbara you will not get in trouble?" 

"Trouble? Why should they punish me? I was only protecting you."

Lyn , I'm not Barbara anymore. I'm now Athena. Lyncette, I will carry your legacy. I will be a colosseum champion" 

"Then I will be Venus, from the goddess of love." 

The next day Thorja screamed at me and the Kasts were on the hospital.  

"You did what?! Is your brain full of shit?! The Kast are our allies and you fractured the neck of Anna! Well, at least she's stable and you woke up from your slumber. Go to the hospital and apologize." 

I lied that I was going, but in my way to the video game store I found Magna, the least injured one. 

She bowed down. "We are sorry Kaiserin, we want to work together!" 

"That's fine, apology accepted. Anyways how's Anna?" 

"She's recovering. In 3 days she will be discharged." 

On Saturday, the first day of the week, we were expulsed from school by Freyja Kaiserin, my own distant cousin that has around the age of Athaxia. We were distant, yet we looked like twins.

"Sorry, but we can't allow these acts of violence not even if one of my family members and allies provoke it. This is an institution to learn , not fight. Aside from you Barb- I mean Athena, having horrible grades, well except in German literature.  Ly- I mean Venus , can stay." 

"That means we have to return to East Prussia?" Magna and Sabine said 

"That's fine. I always hated school. I will study on my own." 

"But Athena, how will you study if your grades are horrible?" 

"I want to be a musician and colosseum champion, I don't need grades." 

Freyja dismissed the Kasts. 

"Athena, we must speak. I have realized your mana and dopamine levels are distorted. I realized when you took this sudden choice and how your grades were so low, except in a subject. You need to receive this ally spell everyday."

Freyja then, used a spell "DAMVE RISE!" 

I felt really high and in a need to sit down. 

"Originally the spell was used in war but fell felt obsolete after the civil war, it was used in patients like you. Thorja knows it. I hope you change your mind and go to school, especially the ones with your needs." Then Athaxia and Venus opened the door. 

"There's no need to. Athena is right, you corrupted our daughters.  A specialized school won't work. Athena and Venus, let's get out, go and work with us." 

"But!-" Freyja objected 

"I fucking said to shut up and leave them alone!" Athaxia's made a rapid changed and offended Freyja. Athaxia always spoke softly  and it was rare to see her so pissed.

On the way home we spoke to Athaxia. 

"But didn't you have a lot of work in the Town Hall?" 

"It's ok kekekeke, I want to spend time with my best friends. I was a bit distant and I failed to care of you. Venus, Nozomi needs help in debugging  parts of her new game, want to help her?" Nozomi nodded "Athena, want to go with me to the Town Hall and translate me some texts for me?" I nodded too. You can rest all you want and work when you like. Take all the time of the world, don't push yourself. " 

Don't push yourself, words from Athaxia that I never listened, I wish we could listen to them sooner...
