Chapter 18: Assassin Work In Yamaguchi..!

(Somewhere in Yamaguchi, Japan, a few weeks later.)
"Assassin: So the boss wants us to finish this convoy leader of Onyx Drugmen then destroy the stuff. What time they said they're arriving, Swiftstrike?
"Swiftstrike: For the final time Serpent, they should be coming from that corner in ten minutes or more."
"Serpent: I can't wait that long!"
"Swiftstrike: We're assassins, we have to remain patient if we want to get this job done."
"Serpent: You're right..."
(A few minutes later, the convoy would appear turning the corner which was protected by heavy security.)
"Swiftstrike: They're here."
"Serpent: Alright! Lets do this-"
(They'd spot a family walking on the sidewalk then the convoy stopped to surround them which scares the family a bit.)
"Convoy Leader: Bring the father with us, he'll make an excellent rat for an experiment."
"Boy: Leave my dad alone!"
(The kid would throw a rock at one of them which made one of the guards mad.)
"Guard: Now... I'm gonna KILL YOU LITTLE BOY!"
(Swiftstrike & Serpent slashes them away from the family.)
"Serpent: Aww yeah!"

"Swiftstrike: You're not harming this family one bit."
"Serpent: Finally we can get this done!"
"Swiftstrike: Our order is to kill your leader."
(He'd look at the family with a serious look.)
"If you want to live, get out of here now!"
(The family ran off and the guards began to fight them both.)
"Convoy Leader: Grr.. K-kill them both! Bring me those poor assassin's heads!!"
(They'd all fire guns at both but they'd swift past every single bullet and neutralize every guard they came in contact with.)
"Serpent: Let me take these two!"
(Serpent's sword would divide into twos and control itself then slashes the two remaining guards which leaves the leader defenseless.)
"Swiftstrike: No guards, no protection. Give it up."
"Convoy Leader: You think I'm going to give up that easily..? If I'm going down, I'M TAKING YOU TWO DOWN WITH ME!"
(He'd remove his jacket showing multiple explosives ready to explode.)
"Serpent?"
"Serpent: I got it."
(He'd deactivate the explosives with one swift cut from his blade which then explodes a ferocious gust of wind.)

(The leader backed up in fear, terrified of what happens next.)
"Swiftstrike: For turning innocent people into monsters with your disgusting Onyx drugs, you deserve hell for acts such as this. HOPE YOU ROT IN FLAMES!"
(Swiftstrike swings his blade across the leader's chest which caused him to collapse of heavy poison rushing through his veins with blood leaking from his eyes.)
"Serpent: So what we do with the drugs?"
"Swiftstrike: We dispose and destroy them."
(A smoke bomb was dropped which the vans and the both of them disappeared and police arrived a minute later and they'd drop the vans out of a vortex-like portal and explodes them with the explosives taken from the leader's jacket then they'd return to the base.)
"Demise: Yo! Serpent, Swiftstrike!"
"Serpent: Hey Demise, good to see ya here!"
(A few other assassins gathered in the main hall with the top four assassins on the stage when the number one of the assassins stood on the stage.)
"Lotus: My assassin comrades, we all have successfully gotten rid of almost all the Onyx drugging rings. But as for tonight, I've sent Serpent and Swiftstrike to take out drug ring leader, Uyemi Manaruko. Swiftstrike, Serpent, Tell me, how did It go..?"

(They'd both stood forward.)
"Both: Target assassinated."
(The assassins cheers and Lotus smirks with joy.)
"Lotus: Excellent. We have more rings to take out so we cannot celebrate yet. In the meantime, I want you assassins to keep focusing on our main objective: Taking out the entire Onyx Drug Corporation."
"Everyone: YES SIR!"
(Meanwhile in Hakodate it was rainy then at Saikan Academy, Akari arrived at the school gates just to see a message.)
"Akari(Aloud): "Due to last-minute circumstances, Saikan Academy is closed until further notice. Students will be given this time to relax from the incidents that has occurred lately. For any questions or concerns, contact Headmaster Chimon."
"Wow, so the school's actually closed."
"Crystalline: Afraid so."
(Akari and Crystalline walked down the less-busy streets for a chat.)
"Akari: After what's happened lately, everyone attended to stay away from one another for a while. Even the Disciplinary Committee was separated. After Nuclear's death, most of the students left the academy."
"Crystalline: Angel was devastated that Nuclear died. She took a two month absence and went home to the Heavens."
"Akari: I heard. I also heard that Konnor's conditions was worse after he fought Hanzel Grimm. It was a death wish..."
(They continued their walk in the rain then they sat at a bus stop.)

"Crystalline: I heard that too.. Things are really turning dark for Saikan Academy."
"Akari: I don't know what to do anymore, wait.. What happened to Okisaki?!"
"Crystalline: She's... awake. But she doesn't want visitors at the moment. She's too worked up about what happened to her. Unfortunately, she didn't want to talk to most of The High Commission."
"Akari: What did she tell you?"
"Crystalline: Sadly, that's classified."
"Akari: I understand."
(The bus would arrive shortly after then they'd hop on and sat together.)
"Crystalline: Do you really want to know what she said?"
"Akari: Yes."
(She'd sigh and tell her everything Okisaki said to her.)
"Oh.. my god..."
"Crystalline: You cannot tell anyone what she said. This is private and we've been looking into this whole situation for years. Its actually The High Commission's final mission."
"Akari: That's why Sawano left..."
"Crystalline: Exactly."
(Akari looked out the window and began to wonder where he is.)

(Back in Yamaguchi, an entire empty street was covered with human blood as bones was being crunched then Sawano walked away drenched in blood and transformed to his normal form.)
"Sawano: I'm not done yet.. Mother. I will find you and kill you first.."
(He walks off and enters Yamaguchi then cleans himself off at a nearby lake then enters the busy city after a long walk.)
"So, this is Yamaguchi. From what I recall, monsters appear here often with a whole city crowded of people.."
(He'd smirk then clutch his hand into a tight fist.)
"Which means.. these humans shall be my prey then any and all monsters that stands in my way.. SHALL DIE."
(He'd walk across the city as three assassins followed him after sensing his presence in Yamaguchi.)
"Crimson Wolf: Do you see that guy..?"
"Redstreak: Yeah, he's unlike the assassins at the tribe.."
"Dark Phoenix: Whatever that power was coming from, it was him."
"Crimson Wolf: Should we go towards him?"
"Dark Phoenix: We should wait.. Call me crazy but I believe that guy is Sawano Magachi."
"Redstreak: That could be true.. If that's the case, we need to alert Lotus."
"Crimson Wolf: We can't be for sure yet!"
"Sawano: Hey there pal."
(They shivered for a moment and heard Sawano on the street then looked across the next building to see.)

"You're that nine star ranked fighter, Defiant Light?"
"Defiant Light: Yes I am, but who are you?"
(He smirked and quickly kicks him into a street lamp post, causing the street light to blink on and off.)
"Sawano: Who am I...? I'm well known for being a...Human Hunting Demon."
"Defiant Light: ..Demon.. ITS YOU.. YOU'RE THAT GUY WHO CALLS HIMSELF A DEMON..!"
(He sighed and stood there.)
"Sawano: Guess you're those "see it, to believe it." guys."
(Defiant got back to his feet as the lights continued blacking out faster as Sawano's black wings ripped out the back of his shirt becoming visible then leaves a smirk. As for Dark Phoenix, Crimson Wolf & Redstreak, they said nothing but kept watching.)
"Defiant Light: Damn you.. I'll MAKE SURE YOU DIE! DAMNED DEMON!"
(Sawano stood there and vanishes instantly from the blinking light and appeared behind him without being noticed.)
"WHERE DID HE-"
"Sawano: Looking for me..?"
(Defiant screams then fires an orb of light at him then he vanished again.)
"I can tell you're quaking in fear... terrified of me in your presence."
(He'd keep walking towards Defiant as the light blinks off for a second.)

"Defiant Light: I'll make sure you die damn it!"
(He'd charge enough energy of light to make the entire area shine as Sawano hid in his cloak then Defiant launches endless barrages of light beams at Sawano which he'd run faster from.)
"Sawano: Tch."
(He runs onto a building and rockets himself towards Defiant which the light beams would close in on him.)
"Magachi Styled Technique..."
(The light beans would zoom past Sawano as they hit the ground then disassemble into nothingness.)
"Incursed Shadow.."
"Defiant: S-STAY AWAY FROM ME DAMN YOU!"
(Defiant continues to fire light attacks at Sawano but they'd all go through him then he'd vanish within a split second and runs in a circle which would have him surrounded then he'd attack from all sides, stunning him to the ground with a slash.)
"Sawano: Its useless.. There's not one person powerful enough to stand against me. No shall ever stand in my way."
(Skin would begin being heard tearing from Sawano's back at two chains emerged and one wrapped around its entire body and the other wrapped around his neck.)
"Defiant Light: B-bastard...!"
"Sawano: Perish, my prey."
(A loud snap was heard then Defiant was motionless then dropped to the floor, lifeless then Sawano removed his mask.)

(The rain began to pour down as thunder was heard in the skies above and the three assassins watched in horror.)
"Time to FEAST."
(Sawano roars and devours Defiant whole then lightning strikes and blood was being splattered everywhere and he'd spit out a wedding ring then vanishes away, implanting the mask back on his face before leaving.)
"Dark Phoenix: Did he just..."
"Redstreak: He did.."
"Crimson Wolf: We need to go... now..!"
(The three of them left and returned to the Assassin's base then went and told Lotus everything they saw.)
"Lotus: So you mean to tell me, there's a someone out there who just killed a 9-Star ranked fighter in the night?"
"Redstreak: Yes."
"Lotus: Did you catch anything of what the guy looked like?"
"Crimson Wolf: Not much, the light he created was too bright. But we did overhear that he's a so-called demon."
"Dark Phoenix: I saw most, he wore all black and he had overwhelming strength inside that darkness.. Far too strong to even be human. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a human like that."
"Lotus: Mhm... I want you three to continue watching this man. I want to know if he's actually this "Sawano" I've heard about. Is that understood?"
"All three: Yes Lotus."

"Lotus: Before you all go, tell me what you saw during that man's fight with the 9-Star ranked fighter."
"Dark Phoenix: He had unparalleled strength and speed. And from what the three of us saw, he had some kind of.. Chains coming out of his back and killed him."
"Redstreak: He has an ability where he can transparently go through attacks."
"Crimson Wolf: Multiple assassins found a whole road covered with nothing but blood and tattered clothes at the end of a party a few hours ago around twelve in the morning. They said it had to be the work of someone with such hunger for humans."
"Lotus: This could be serious... in the meantime, I'm placing you three in charge of this. Get me as much information as you can on him and if you find out anything absolutely important, contact me as soon as possible."
"All Three: Yes Lotus."
