Chapter 6:

Planet Agri Episode 6. "Departure"

Toward Eden

Following Byakudan, Ginrei took the orbital train from Kailas Station to the airport. At the airport, three medium-sized spaceships in the shape of silver triangles were docked.

"Miss. Byakudan, what is that?"

"Those are Walker's battle ships. They are waiting for you there."

Ginrei looked at the spaceships again. It stood out among the whale- and dolphin-shaped civilian ships.

They landed at the airport and took a cart to the spaceships. On the ramp of one of the spaceships stood a tall, stern man. He had shining blond hair, sky blue eyes, and a rugged face. He looked scary to look at. When Ginrei stopped on the ramp, Byakudan pushed her back and said,

"Come on."

"You're the new member? You don't look like a warrior, but that's okay. I'm Glynn, the captain. Nice to meet you."

The man smiled, took Ginrei's hand and shook it.

"That's all I have to say. Everyone, take care of Miss Ginrei."

"Oh. Please leave it to me. Your name is Ginrei? That's a good name. Okay, follow me."

Glynn led Ginrei into the ship.

In the waiting room, two men and a dog were waiting for them. It had a withered grass-colored fur and a curly tail, a ...... nostalgic appearance, ...... no doubt!

"Musashi!"

Ginrei jumped on Musashi and hugged him.

"Why?"

Ginrei said.A large, brown-haired, bearded man asked her.

"Is that your dog? It's a specially trained military dog. That was brought here by Miss Suiren. By the way, I'm Tara. Nice to meet you."

He tapped Ginrei on the shoulder. The smaller of the two was a little more reserved.

"I'm Toni. Nice to meet you."

The smaller one greeted her. Toni was a small, thin man with the appearance of a boy.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Ginrei. So Musashi will be participating in the extermination of the demon world, right?"

"Yes. The demon world is afraid of dogs. Ginrei. That's a good name. Well, sit down for now. We'll be leaving soon."

Tara said and patted the seat.

"Where are we going?"

"To the planet Aguri. The demon world has attached itself to the energy field."

Glynn answered and sat down next to Ginrei.

"Good! Let me out!"

Glynn shouted into the cockpit, and the spaceship floated into the air.

"I saw two more spaceships."

"That's one of ours. We're going with them to Agri."

Glynn said and looked out the window and saw a silver battle ship running alongside.

"Where are you from, by the way? You're not a local, are you?"

Tara spoke up.

"I'm from Earth. I used to be a swimming instructor, but I was attacked and killed by a thug whose mind was controlled by the demon world. Miss Suiren asked me to become a walker for astral univers."

"Earthlings. ...... Not too promising, to be honest."

Tara giggled.

"Oh, why? Is it because I'm a woman?"

Ginrei was a bit annoyed.

"That's part of it, but a lot of Earthlings are mentally weak.In fact, when he attacked you, he was easily manipulated by the demon world, wasn't he?"

"I'm sure you'll be able to understand why.Earthlings are young men in space. Cut him some slack."

Glynn offered a helping hand.

"Where are you from?"

Ginrei asked GIynn.

"I'm from the planet Hasima. ...... It's a nice planet with a lot of nature, although I used to live in the desert."

Glynn laughs.

"I'm from the planet Seal, a rather dynamic planet where most of the stars are oceans. I used to be a sailor."

Tara showed her bumps.

"I'm from the planet Shambala. I grew up in the city."

Toni smiled weakly.

"How did this city boy become a Walker?"

Ginrei asked.

"My role is mainly to search for enemies. I'm not only a physical warrior."

"I see. ...... You're right."

"Okay, now that we've introduced ourselves, Ginrei, there's a change of clothes in the back room."

Glynn pointed to a private room at the end of the hallway.

"Change of clothes?"

"Combat gear. In that room."

"All right."

Ginrei did as Gulyn said and went into the room. The clothes were folded on the bed. There was a sand beige helmet next to it. There were brown boots by the bed. After putting on a white turtleneck shirt, thick sand-beige pants, and a sturdy-looking jacket also in sand-beige, Ginrei put on the boots and stood in front of the figure. She looked more like a pilot than a warrior, but she suppose this is the battle dress of the astral universe. After grabbing her helmet, Ginrei left the room.

"Oh. You look pretty good."

Glynn tapped Ginrei on the shoulder.

"Thank you. So what do I need to do to ......? Do you have a weapon?"

"Just follow me."

Glynn said and headed for the armory. In the armory, there were swords, axes and other imposing weapons propped up on shelves.

"Here's one for you."

Glynn said and grabbed a sword. The black hilt was inlaid with what appeared to be an emerald gem.

"Pull it out."

Ginrei took the sword from Gurin and pulled it out of its scabbard with all her might. It was lighter than she had expected, and the silvery white sword seemed to tremble slightly.

"This sword......"

"Do you understand? It resonates with the owner's astral energy. You can use it to unleash techniques that match the attributes of your astral energy. Well, not right away, I guess. Once you get used to it and the sword trusts you, you'll be able to do it."

"The sword trusts me?"

Ginrei was puzzled. Do you think that a sword, which is an object, can have feelings?

"Well, I'm sure you'll find out soon enough."

Glynn then smiled, revealing his white beard.
