Chapter 7:

January 11

From my Drafts!

I haven't really progressed much with my novel lately and instead decided to start from the beginnings. Sometimes as a writer you have to refer back to all the elements of writing and be your worse critic. That's why I somewhat like posting on this site because I can get genuine criticism for my work. Like you can ask close friends, family, or peers for an evaluation of your story and they'll try being "nice" about it. What I'm trying to get that people you have connection with won't GIVE YOU ACTUAL CRITICISM! Idk why tbh, but it would be nice if they were serious about it.

Anyways

I've been learning about 7 essential's for a novel. Those are: Setting, Characters, Plot, Conflict, Point of View, Resolution, and Theme. I think I utilize  Setting, Characters, Plot, Point of View,  and Theme so far in my one year of writing. I'm still trying to understand Resolution and Conflict, if anyone reading this could clarify or give me an example that would be great!

I've also been mapping out each chapter for my stories lately. I'm somewhat of a perfectionist and love writing my ideas down when I think of something great. Unlike other's my memory isn't that great...LMAO! This process in a sense to me is like a manuscript and helps me format the story of a chapter and each and every detail that I plan on covering.

I've begun using grammarly for my novel as well and started reading/revising my work more. It's process man. Sorry for blabbing on this long but I have to let my thoughts out and no lol I don't use grammarly for these little talks of mine. I just go off my head.
