Chapter 36
She asks him (Ban) :"Aren't you the substitute God? Can't you somehow meet her without Light catching you?"
Ban replies to her questions :"I can't meet her like that. He would know that sooner or later. But before I became the substitute God, Light told me that I can meet with her if I don't accept that offer. That offer still continues to exists for me even after I agreed to become the substitute God."
Natsumi gets a bit irritated and upset because of it. She asks him :"Why did you agree? If you didn't agree to become the substitute God you could have meet her. Don't you want to meet her?."
Ban was surprised. He saw her getting angry and irritated several times already, but he never saw that looks in her eyes. He could tell that she wasn't upset because of something that happened to her. Rather she was angry because he did an act that made him sad about it. She was angry at him for his sake. It wasn't the first time someone was angry at his behalf, but it has been long since anybody was.
He smiles and replies to her :"If I didn't become the substitute God the world war two would have never ended."
He starts walking to a chair. Natsumi was confused after hearing that from him.
She asks him :"What do you mean by that? What does WW2 have anything to do with this?"
Ban didn't reply to her question and continues walking towards the chair.
Though Light replies to her question :"You know that I don't change anything in all of the universes that I created and let it be the way it is supposed to be. But at that time around 1000 BC, I gave him an offer. Two offers to be exact. Either to meet with the person who he dears the most or either being the substitute God of the world you were living in. He chooses to become the substitute God. He made some changes in that universe afterwards. Though he didn't change the things that I forbidden him to do. Like making a elixir of immortality or something like that. After becoming the substitute God he made some huge changes. Though it was still a disaster. Many people had do die but it was a lot less than what it was supposed to be. The WW1 and WW2 almost took 150 Millions people lives after the change. But if he didn't it would continue on and the casualties would be around 2 billion people. Why do I think that it Might be higher than that. Let me remember."
When she heard that from him she realizes that she has been misunderstood him. And also many questions arises in her mind.
She thought to herself [That means..]
He continues :"It was supposed to be around 2,257,009,231 in current time. You must be thinking to ask me some more questions."
She was a bit surprised by that. She didn't expect him to read her mind. She gets mad after realizing that.
She replies to him :"You shouldn't read other people--"
He interrupts her and continues while letting his head rest on his hand while his hand was in the chair :"I know what are you thinking and what you are going say next. Yes, it's true that Ban was a human before. It's also true that he died more than three thousand years ago. At that time there was no rules or nobody wished to complete the wishes of every single person who is about to die or will die. But there was someone really special. He was a great man who did many good things in his life. So I let him have some of his wishes completed before he would've die. I first meet with him in his dream. At that time if I have gone to earth and meet with him face to face everybody around us and even himself would have fallen in love with me, respect me and forget about doing anything else other than just looking at me. After all I am so beautiful, gorgeous and I am the supreme and the greatest being in the world."
Ban heard that and wasn't either happy or sad about. He thought to himself [Like I would stop doing everything and just look at your face. I had so many work to do at that time. Even if you would have arrived in the real world at that time instead of coming inside my dream I wouldn't have just look at you. It might sound disrespectful to you but you aren't that much handsome as you think you are.]
Natsumi replies to him (Light) with unamused face :"Like he would ever just look at your stupid face instead of working."
Light gets angry hearing that from her. He also felt disrespect from her. He replies to her :"You are being totally disrespectful to me. You just don't have good eyes for handsome and good men. Everybody would have forget about living and just look at me and praise me. Even you would have just praises me and look at my beauty Right, Ban?"
Ban wasn't able to say the truth knowing the consequences of saying that. He well knew what's the worst punishment for a person disrespected him. He (Light) didn't have a clue about what Ban really just thought about him sometimes ago.
He replies to him :"Yes, I might have just looked at you all the time, if you had arrived at the real world instead appearing in someone's dream."
Light was very happy and felt proud for Ban to say that. By Ban telling them about a possibility that could have happen. But in reality Light was getting proud for no reason. Cause Ban just lied to him to save himself.
He (Light) replies to her proudly :"You see, even Ban agrees with me. You just don't have good eyes for handsome man."
Natsumi knew that Ban was lying to him (Light) just by looking at his face. But either way she didn't have any interest over things like this. She didn't give a damn if it would actually really happened or not.
She asks him (Light) with unamused face :"Can you just continue to tell me about what's the relationship with the person we are talking about with WW things from earlier."
Light replies to her :"Okay, okay. I am telling you. He at first didn't believe that I was the God. I was pretty shocked by that"
After hearing that she thought to herself [That's a reasonable act. Who would believe in someone who appears in a dream and introducing himself as a God. It's nothing to get shocked about,]
He continues :"It took me some weeks of appearing in his dream to convince him that I am really the God."
She interrupts him (Light) and says :"How did you convince him that you are the God?"
After he heard that question from her he looks like as if he is feeling kind of uncomfortable. He drinks a cup of water that was beside him. And throw the leftovers water over his head.
He asks her like this :"Can I just not answer that question?"
She gets curious and confused of why he is feeling uncomfortable. She thought to herself [Why? And why did you do that? Is he going Insane?]
She replies to him with another question :"You don't have to ask for which question you don't want to answer. You are the God. But answer me this. Where is Ban? He isn't around here anymore"
He looks at the place where Ban was standing and saw that he wasn't there.
He replies to her :"He must be in another room or fulfilling some other peoples wishes. He is a busy person after all. Sometimes I can't find him after searching around for so long makes me think that he is more productive, busy and workaholics than me."
She thought to Herself [Of course, he is. Also since when you are a workaholics. I can't even imagine you work.]
He continues :"I forgot."
She asks him :"What?"
He replies to her :"I am sorry but I forgot where I was?"
