Chapter 12:

Anniversary

I became a god!?

The week passed quickly, and I got ready to leave for the anniversary. "Are you ready?" Min-Su and Su-Bin were hiding in my shadow as I stepped towards the portal back. The opening where I first arrived was as empty as ever. I turned back from the skeleton form that I had had since the time I went here at first. I heard a rustle in the bushes and turned back. Cassandra was standing there with a black tulip. She gave it to me as an offering. "Thank you." I gave her a soft smile, l put the tulip in my pocket, and stepped onto the altar where we first arrived.

As the light faded I looked around. There were a few gods, some that I recognized and some that I didn't. Li stepped forwards towards me with a sad look on her face. "I'm sorry, I will see you again." She mumbled something that I couldn't hear and then I passed out. The last thing I remember is the rustling of chains.

It all happened so quickly. I didn't even know what had happened. As I wake up my mind feels all blurry and I can't see. When I slowly start to recover my hearing I hear a lot of voices whispering around me. When I try to stand up I realize my armed are chained to the floor so I end up on my knees. When started to move I heard the whispering getting quieter and then silent. After a few moments of silence, I heard a slow shuffling noise getting closer and closer. When it is right next to me it stops and then it grabs the bag over my head and pulls it away. The light blinds me but after my eyes adjust to it I can see that I am back in the first room I arrived in. The thrones are all filled with gods. But this time I am chained in the middle, but equally confused. I look around and see Li, but I notice that she is actively avoiding making eye contact with me. "Yuki Kuratami... No, The Endless Darkness." Solomon stood up from his throne and looked at me with an angry look but I could still see the sadness in his eyes. They almost seemed to say sorry. "By anonymous vote, it has been decided to banish you as your powers are a threat to the world." He looked over the public. I noticed as his eyes froze even for just a second when he looked at Li. Or so I thought when I followed where he looked, I saw Kathrine. Li had told me not to trust her. When she cathed me looking she gave me a cold smile. I looked away and back towards Solomon as he continued speaking. "So Yuki, you will be chained inside a cave in the northern part of Thule. Locked up for eternity." He sighed as he finished speaking. I noticed how tired he felt. It seemed like the other gods had argued before I came. I was knocked out again by a mysterious force.

When I came to I was chained in a dark cave-like room. It smelled of old and wet stone. In front of me, Min-Su and Su-Bin were also chained. "Why, what happened?" I asked mostly to myself. "You were deemed an evil god and chained in a dungeon on Thule." Su-Bin spoke and raised his head. "Why are you also here?" I was still very confused. What happened, How long had passed, Why and Who? "We were also chained as we were deemed as your followers." Min-Su answered.
We were silent for a while since I was still very confused. It all happened so fast. it felt like just a few minutes had passed since I stepped into the portal. Even in front of the gods, everything happened so quickly.

"Nice to meet you, even though this isn't such a nice occasion." a sickly voice appeared in front of me, I saw a dark entrance in the cave a few meters behind Min-Su and Su-Bin. "Let me introduce myself since last time was quite... short." The owner of that voice stepped into the weak light cast by the single lantern hanging above my head. A hooded figure appeared, Even though he was almost completely dark his eyes still appeared like a black hole on his non-existent face. "You're Kishi, right?" The figure laughed, "Yes, They call me The Bringer. I have come to give you a gift and tell you something." He must have sensed my doubt as he quickly followed up with, "Don't worry, we evil gods must stick together." Even though he doesn't have a face I could still notice him smirking. "That... That doesn't settle my doubt..." He just laughed. "Well, not much you can do." He opened a small leather pouch. "These chains will seal all your magic power, they are made by Cham, the god of smithing. But he felt bad so he made a stone and gave it to me." Kishi reached into his bag and brought out a dark stone with what seemed like fire trapped inside. "How can I trust you?" He stopped for a moment and shrugged. "You can't... This stone will love you to use some magic but only a hundred of what your magic was in the godly realm." He just continued and didnät really give me more reasons to trust him. "Eat the stone and you will be able to use some magic." He then proceeded to use some speed magic and end up in my face he then showed the stone down my throat. I started coughing, "Sorry but I didn't think you would accept it... Bye..." he then started to walk away. "Wait, I still have questions!" but he just vanished into the dark.

"What happened?" Min-Su and Su-Bin woke up, they seemed to have passed out from the presence of Kishi. I explained what happened to them. I also used some magic but like Kishi said it was barely even noticeable. I just tried using all my skills but barely anything happened. I decide to train since I could. Min-Su and Su-Bin taught me everything they knew, while I shared all my knowledge about my previous worlds. I also told them about my classmates.
This was the first time in very long that I thought of home. I had lost my parents a few years ago, it was decided that I would keep the apartment and live alone. So I lived alone these past years. I also told them about Jun and Shigeo. Also about Kaiya. When I talked about my lost classmates, I broke down. After Min-Su calmed me down I decide that I will train, I will train so much that I can break these chains.

But how long will that take?
