Chapter 38:
From Assassin to Demon lord
At table in havenly realm four goddesses were drinking tea. They were goddess of demons, goddess of night, goddess of elves and goddess of swords.
Between other gods they were known as Riders of apocalypse.
The reason for that was simple, one time they got so drunk that they almost destroyed the world.
Humans called that event [War of gods], that time, half of all living beings died. One entire continent got cut in half. Demons pillaged and stole a lot of lives, turning blood into wine where ever they went, to offer it to their goddess (thus granting Gnolls their bad reputation).
And since that time alcohol was in havenly realm forbiden (except for god of alcohol, but that’s given). In stead of drinking parties, tea party was held once every few decades, but this week it was third tea party. And other gods were nervous.
„That boy is realy amazing! He saved so many elves from those pigs! I should revard him somehow…“ goddess of elves smiled, she looked like your everyday elf, except her golden eyes and godly aura.
„He is my precious boy… still those guys who betrayed him… unforgivable,“ goddess of night sulked a little at the and, but that didn’t ruin her exceptional beauty. Her silky black hair shined like stars and her gray eyes looked just like a moon.
„There is one thing I have to ask. Is he really a human? I mean as demon lord he should have simmilar level cap to humans, but he is almost level 200.“ goddess of demons said.
„„Two hundread?!““ goddesses of sword and elves gasped in suprise.
„Hehehee~ he was my secret project after all~“ goddess on night smiled.
„Wh-what in the world did you do? You know what would happen if that old geezer heard about it?“
„Well World god would be more angry at you calling him Old geezer you know?“
„So what did you do?“
„Do you still remember [World quest]?“
„The set of tests to see if humans are strong enought to gain divinity? I thought that it was canceled?“
„More or less you are correct. After killing those Frost giants he was supposed to gain Heroic skill <God’s guidance> and he would be able to speak with me~“ the goddesses of night face turned bright red and went ‚hehehee~‘ again.
„That would set him on track with [World quest] right?“
„Yes~. After that he would set on a journy to get components for comleting the [World quest] and he would eventualy clashed with Seven sinful.“
„Don’t start with those guys… even after I took away their blessings they are still the strongest Demon lords,“ goddess of demons held her head with both her hand when she remembered those guys.
„They are the oldest demon lords, the first generation Demon lord of Greed, Valvonor the demon, Second generation Demon lord of Gluttony, Shaa the slime and Demon lord of Wrath, Choc the ghoul. Next are demon lords from third generation, Dhystia the succubus representing Lust, Argelki the gargoyle representing Envy and Tegun the minotaur representing Sloth. Lastly the one known as Demon lord of Pride, Akemi the Kitsune… well God of foxes isn’t really happy that the most famous of his children is demon lord.“
„I feel his pain… I gave blessing to hero and he almost destroyed his own nation. Ever since then I give blessings to regular sword users.“ Goddess of swords said with sad look on her face.
„Well let’s get back to the main topic, you wanted him to kill some of those demon lords?“
„Yes, demon lords of Greed and Gluttony are getting little out of hand don’t you think? Plus if he killed them he would gaint Class of [True Hero].“
„Yes they are… greed aims at my position and gluttony belives that if it eats me it will get absolute power… really… I can’t let them know about [World quest]. Gods who picked latest group of heroes are also little worried. Normaly they would go to meet their angels to Holy mountain, but it seems one angel already contacted the hero and they are going to the dungeon Zaru created.“
„Whoa really?“
„Yes. You don’t know it Goddess of demons, but Goddess of Angels is furious. Apparently that angel ins’t from her mountain, don’t have her protection and even it’s hiding it’s presence from her.“
„That’s weird, why would angel… oh, crap! It’s a Fallen!“
„You can’t be serious! Fallen? It’s decades since one was born and it was killed by hero some time back!“
„No I don’t mean that one. Some time back Arana the Arachne was cursed by Fallen, which acompanied hero, she killed.“
„Ah, I see. That Fallen fell in love.“
„It seems that way. Well few weeks ago Lizzie, who claim to be Zaru’s First wife reversed curse on Arana with her magic.“
„She call herself what?! Unacceptable! Show her to me right now! No! Better idea I go there with you! Zaru’s mine! The World quest he would complet would make him equal to me so I could ******* and ******* but most importantly ***********!“
„Thank World god for self censorship… You know that we are not allowed to go to lower world without World gods permition.“
„You go there every day goddess of demons! And I know that you spend your time in Zarus dungeon! You ********!“
„Calm yourself down goddess of night, I go there becouse he’s the most relaxed demon lord I ever created. And remember that World god forbid us going there together. He even created barrier in a way that two gods can’t stay in same place. Always at least 100 kilometers away from each other.“
„Hic hic… I-I just want to snughle with Zahu thoo! And ******* thoo!“
„Great, now she’s crying… And want to ******* a Demon lord… just great…“
„Here Goddess of night-chan, a tissue,“ the goddess of Elves smiled at Goddess of night motherly.
After calming goddess of night down the tea party continued.
That day, goddess of Demons got Demon fruit for Zaru.
Goddess of Night went home sulking on bed with her life-sized body pillow of Zaru.
Goddess of Sword was again looking for new sword masters.
And lastly goddess of Elves decided to met with Zaru someday in the future.
All other gods were terrified when they saw these four young women walk side by side, and so they payed close look to their actions, but no one find out about their plan to revive [World quest].
Bonus chapter: Magic, skills, ranks and level caps

This is bonus chapter where I will try to re-explain what I either forgot, or added later.
First is magic:
Divided into elemental and non-elemental (between these two is also another divinition: Create, destroy and manipulate (strenghtening, weakening, etc.)). Every category have spells of 5 categories (tiers), starting with One (weakest) to five (strongest). Also Extra tier (also called sixth tier) is highter then fifth teir, but only about 0,2% of all mages can pull it out.
Next are skills:
Common (everyday): Everyone can learn them (cooking, sewing…)
Combat: skills for combat, but only with users body (swordmenship, spearmenship, Archery…)
Magic: Skills with magic element in them (<color> magic, non-elemental magic, demonic magic, angelic magic, holy magic, ghost magic, shadow magic, spirit magic, spellblade [this skill is both combat and magic, can only be used by magic swordman or Sword Sage classes])
Heroic: Skills used by heroes or their descendants, they are divided in two groups. One works only with right blessing (these are much stronger) and the second group can be used without blessing, but are weaker or non-combat types (born leader, rule breaker)
Unique skills is last group, these skills can be aquired only by 1 person at time, they are the most powerful skills.
The most important rule for combat, magic and heroic is that with correct blessing the power can be muliplied (by hierarchy of gods the power can be somewhere between *2 and *10). Also getting blessing from more gods is very rare.
Ranks and Level caps:
Level caps were introduced recently so I combined them with ranks.
Rank of monster is determinated by its most common level and level cap (most ogres are between levels 100-110 and their level cap 190, which makes them A rank, orks on other hand have levels mostly between 60-70 and their level cap is 140, making them B rank. Humans level cap is 100, and they usualy get to this point through their lives)
