Chapter 41

It's the next day now.
'then we will be off' says the C rank guild men.
Thus begins the 5 days of waiting for reinforcements.
We take it easy and redo the area from yesterday.
Fewer finje are around but they are still coming.

The warriors are in good condition and the twin mages as well.
The mages are showing their long years of experience and they manage well by themselves.
Even the occasional greater finje we see is no match for them now that they have found their groove.
The entire area cleared faster than yesterday.
'should we move further' asks a warrior.
'it seems we should, as long was we don't find the main hive right now we can handle it' anwers the rogue.
She has basically become the leader even though no one is the leader.
'hey, the main hive is underground right? then how about we cover the mountainous area?' says the healer.
'huh, that's pretty smart for you'
'come on, I always have good ideas'
We decide to do that since we are already done here.
Just scout again as usual and night time.

Day 2 now.
Deeper into the mountains, we decide not to split up too much.
We are near each other enough to run to help if needed.
Nothing dangerous so far.
Exterminating bee wasps is so tiresome I think to myself and so the day ends again.
Day 3 and 4 were the same.
Day 5 arrives, the guild help should arrive today.
As we keep on cutting down their numbers we see finje corpses that we didn't kill.
'something else is killing them now?' says the mage girl.
'having less of them here now made others creatures come back here is the answer I assume' says the archer elf.
'it's like we have saved the environment by doing this' says the healer who is riding me.
'you haven't done much though' says the rogue.
'well I haven't need to heal much so that's a good thing right'
I want to eat other things, the only thing I have eaten is these bees.
They are fine but it's getting old.
A SPIDER!
Suddenly the mages yell out.
Spider? but I am right here.

As we head there we see another giant spider, it's smaller than me and its body isn't big.
I'd say it's only the size of a small cat and it's a bit hairy.
'EW EW EW GET IT AWAY' the mage girls are panicking and can't deal with it.
Meanwhile their partners can't hit it.
'it's too fast and too small, we can't get a hit in!'
Other spiders other than me, makes sense right but I never thought about it.
'it notices us and begins coming over.
'NOOO STOP IT IYAAAAA'
HAAH
The rogue throws one of her daggers while the spider jumps around and it hits it dead.
That's it?
'why are you so afraid? you have a giant spider right here'
'w-well, tara doesn't really look like a typical spider so it doesn't feel the same' says the healer while carressing me.
ROAR
A bear roar is heard further out.
'whatever, it seems more danger is around now, let's just wait for the others to arrive'
'that is a common big arachne type' says the elf looking at me.
'they are everywhere, they come in hairless kinds too, they are the starting giant spider type you will find, there are more types but those are basically monsters in their own right'

All these spiders, I don't like spiders either even though I am one.
As we return to the camp the others arrive, the middle aged men are back and they brought 4 groups with them.
The same ones we cleared that god dungeon with.
'these adventurers seem to have stuck around and finished their quest so the timing was well'
'they are all d rank adventurers so they will provide back up when we encounter the main hive'

Things are looking well.
