Reborn and Crisis

Titles acts as a Law of the Universe and are completely absolute which also gives them great resistance to any type of magic and skills and there comes the thing called [True Title] that is given and acts almost as Universal Laws being able to defy them by the privileges it gives. So the magic used on me was an exception. 

That was a [Grand Magic] called [Absolute Destruction] not only it ignores any type of resistance, it also destroys everything from your body to the soul and unlike usual magic that uses magical powers, it draws primitive energy from the universe which enables it to defy the laws of it hence capable of completely harming me. another fact about Titles is there can be only one title and holder, unless the holder has died the title will remain intact. upon realizing something,

 i put a smug on my face.

I see, so that's what they're after to? My Title. But how though? 

Do they have something?

Also for a human to use [Grand Magic]

The payment is their own life force and soul if it's not enough. 

Why would they go far as sacrificing 500 people just for my title? What a disgusting action. 

They could've atleast called the Church's Vanguard to do it. They wouldn't have needed to sacrifice souls.

Judging the title i just gained, it seems like i did died but for some reason i resurrected? Is that even possible? 

That [Grand Magic] Should've erased me completely

I tried giving some thoughts to it but i just can't understand how it could've happened.

This Conqueror aside. This [Sprout] have me curious as well, it doesn't show anything but just blank. I continued with my appraisal and what comes next is what i thought unbelievable.

"Demon"

"— DEMON? THAT CAN'T BE! BUT I'M STILL THE HERO, ONLY HUMAN SHOULD BE ABLE TO OBTAIN THIS TITLE?" i tried calming myself down. I sat on the ground and started thinking about it.

As i calmed myself, i thought of it. 

Although I'm a demon im still worthy of this title? How did i even became a demon in the first place.

That's a lot of mystery. 

I put my hand at my head, i felt something that shouldn't be there. Something hard.

Horns.

Demons had horns? I've never heard of that before.

The horn I'm holding suddenly disappeared. "—oh it vanished....."

And reappeared again. "it's back"

I can control it's appearance? I'll hide it then in that case.

I fell on silence for a minute and suddenly remembered something. 

"Wait, didn't i saw something in that Title?"

[Conqueror of Death and Life]

A title that has been obtained upon surviving the destruction of the soul. It grants eternal life [Immortality], Perfect Regen [Regeneration] Soul Regeneration [Indestructible] Boundary of Death and Life [Astral Projection] [Perfect Memory]

As long as an individual wields this Title, the host will never truly die even if the body has been completely destroyed.

The soul will keep regenerating as long as the core is not completely destroyed.

What the hell?

I am speechless. 

 Immortality you say? Nice nice, very nice ahahaha— what. 

I couldn't do anything but just accept the reality in front of me. 

I continued my appraisal, i went through my skills and seems like there are new ones too which are

[Aura] [Evil Eye] [Darkness and Shadow Manipulation] [Flight] [Lesser Mind Manipulation] [Absorption]

Now these all sounds like a demon's abilities huh.

Unlike Magic that you can learn and create new ones.

Skills are information in the soul and are automatically bestowed upon depends on the individual.

Unlike Magic as well, they don't consume mana.

You can consider them like breathing or blinking, you can just do it hence to question how is futile to skills.

I might try them all out later, all these things happened so fast and im still kinda confused. 

Im also getting bored of sitting here so. 

I need to find my way out first though.

I started preparing some stuffs that I'll need. I picked up some of the glowing crystals all over the places and collected a lot. Melting all of them through the usage of skill [Heat Generation] and [Fire Manipulation] and carefully molding it to a shape of a sword with [Telekinesis] and the result wasn't bad, i immediately tried holding it forgetting that it's still hot and i thought I'd burn myself, apparently i got new resistances as well.

[Heat and Fire Resistance] it keeps me from getting burned and makes me unaffected by flame attacks

[Cold Resistance] no wonder why I don't feel cold despite having no shirt at all.

I got out of the place where i was and started exploring my way out though i didn't expect to not encounter anything.

I encountered a mid class monster [Infernal Arachne]

A type of arachnid monster that has adapted to high temperatures and mutated to flame controlling spiders centuries ago and spread all over the world lurking on places like caves and volcanoes. They're atleast 3 meters big with a large abdomen having black, red and yellow color combinations and legs with glowing tips.

They are also know for being short tempered and will kill anyone who passes by its territory. 

Upon the interaction, the Arachne was alarmed and immediately tried attacking letting of a web, unlike normal webs their webs can reach really high temperatures, they sure live to their name.

"But...." catching the supposedly aimed web to me, i dragged it towards me Dragging the arachne as well. Coating my sword with magic slashing it open.

"I have resistance to fire now"

Unfortunately, i also destroyed my sword in the process. i fall back immediately. Upon the sword being destroyed i made more attempts of creating new ones however they all disintegrates after 1 usage. Seems like i can't wield any more normal swords. Accepting that fact, it seems like my only way of fighting left is to use sheer skills and magic. I'm not really a good Magic User but this is a chance to change that. I went back to the place where i took down the Arachne. that looks gross.

"uh let's see, where was that again? Ab... Abso.. Absorption!"

[Absorption] apparently a skill of demons that let them absorb anything into them giving capabilities of recovering.

"let's try it" i touched the corpse of the Arachne commencing the usage of absorption and started absorbing the corpse into me and i noticed something.

"It's going to my mouth!" I tried cancelling it but i couldn't.

The corpse completely became something glowing and sucked it into my mouth.

"GROSS! I COULDN'T TASTE IT BUT IT'S GROSS!"

I noticed changes in me immediately, my magic capacity seems to have increased.

This may be gross but this is something great.....

"isn't this the Arachne's thing?" wait a minute! does this mean i can also absorb skills of the things i absorb? This is so convenient.

I feel like I've read a novel like this before... 

I explored more and encountered monsters successfully absorbing them.

I went on a full greedy spree. 

[Black Serpent]

"that's a big one of a snake there" I sneaked through [Shadow Manipulation] and killed the Serpent by beheading it through a wind spell and absorbing it afterwards.

"This is gross after all"

[Poison Manipulation] Obtained.

[Poison Breath] [Venom Shot] [Poison Resistance] Acquired.

"alright"

I proceeded exploring more absorbing more.

[Electro Wasp]

[Elder Arachne]

[Sonic Bats]

[Frost Lizard]

And many more monsters have been absorbed giving me skills like

[Lightning Manipulation]

[Sound Manipulation] which comes with [Sonicboom] and [Vibration Manipulation]

[Ice Manipulation] coming with [Absolute Zero]

[Thread Manipulation] with [Sticky Thread] [Steel Thread] and [Surface Scaling] from the Elder Arachne

My mastery of [Dark and Shadow Manipulation] has Given me more skills and Magic spells such as [Darkness Projectiles] [Shadow Binding]

My Mana Capacity has increased tenfolds as well.

[Semi-Title: Predator Acquired]

"hm, a Semi Title huh, they don't really have that much in it though. 

No privileges or skills"

I didn't stopped there. I got deeper and deeper finding a really big looking lair and a humongous hole above.

Although it's empty, just a big looking nest

There i took a rest. Walking all over half naked feels kinda weird. I tried using the skill [Thread Manipulation] with [Steel Thread] and compressed every strings as small and durable as possible to create a shirt, it was successful and finally i have a shirt after days of wandering around.

And then i felt a strange gust of wind from above and there

I saw a black figure slowly descending.

A dragon!?

I used appraisal on it immediately.

[Brethren of Arkuz]

"Arkuz? If i remember I've seen that name in books already"

After a few moment i remembered, Arkuz. A powerful Dragon Hailed as a Deity. Also known as Spatial King due to it's abilities to manipulate space and so it's brethren.

But that dragon's domain is in the south continent, how come it's brethren is here

The dragon descended to its lair completely. Upon noticing me it let out a growl, probably an attempt to intimidate me.

Dragons sure hates it when there are intruders in their lair.

However i was unmoved. 

Upon observations, it had black scales seemingly reflecting light with a violet hue, two pairs of wings and large claws with pairs of golden eyes

I distanced myself a few meters.

The Dragon seemed to be mad about it. It might attack anytime.

Suddenly, my arm has been cut off,it was on instant. I couldn't see anything at all. All i know is that my arm has been torn off. 

There definitely was something.

I jumped off immediately and focused my energy on my arm regenerating completely.

spatial manipulation? 

It must've ripped the space on my arm. 

"Ahhh that hurted a bit"

"My bad, i'm something of an immortal being myself"

I jumped on the wall and tried sticking to it through [Surface Scaling]

And then i used the spell [Abyssal Destruction] which is a large scale spell depending on how strong you want it to be, i only made it big enough not to hit anything or everything will collapse.

But it wouldn't let me easily cast it huh. 

The dragon chased me all around the cave however, i was casting the spell at the same time. 

Forming a Huge Magic Circle on the ground, i activated the spell and did a really great damage engulfing the area with some black looking like thick mist and a feeling of great force giving off strong vibrations as a ray of darkness formed and pierced the sky.

The whole area ended up being in ruins with dust and debris everywhere but no trace of dragon.

"did that completely disintegrate it to nothing?" i put on a silly smile over the fact that im also shocked with the strength of it.

I should be careful the next time i use my magic or I'll blow up the whole area.

I descended from the wall and checked out the center. It sure disintegrate it to nothing.

So i thought. The dragon i thought i already killed showed up out of nowhere attacking me with [Dragon's breath] that apparently amplifies pain.

"AHHHH—" I screamed out of pain, it's different from all the pain I've experienced before, the swelling, the feeling of heat and the sensation is on a different plane.

I tried regenerating however i couldn't.

My appraisal immediately warned me of something. 

[Curse of the Dragon]

So that's why i can't regeneration, dammit.

Although i still tried fighting back but due to the injuries, my movements are really slow.

The dragon growing bored out of my tricks finally finished me off.

It blasted a bright stream of energu focused on me completely disintegrating my body. I am dead. 

Is what the dragon thought.

Only a few seconds after being reduced to nothing, i came back and greeted the dragon once again who was heading back to its ruined nest.

"Where are you heading, the fight is not over yet.

I arrogantly declared, i might not be dead but it still frustrates me however. 

To let my guard down like that, had i not been immortal, i would be dead by now. 

The dragon who thought i'm dead rushed flying towards me not noticing the trap i laid out.

As he flew upwards, i caught him with my [sticky thread] all over the place added with [Shadow Bind] i included, the dragon struggled but my spell prevailed victorious completely paralyzing it.

"Now dig on this"

[Dragon's Breath]

With my great mana capacity, i fired a great scale [Dragon's Breath] which i obtained through absorption on my attempt to supress the damage it could've make earlier. 

It hurts a lot though for sure.

I watch the Dragon let out a really strong cry and scream from the pain.

Being a really strong species, this must've been it's first time feeling pain. 

I understand that, being the [Hero]; i thought i was unstoppable. But was still beaten regardless.

The dragon who was screaming in pain seems to have recovered it's composure but is still weakened however. 

"Stings doesn't it?"

Now to finish this. I pointed my hands to the direction where the dragon is and fired lots of really strong [Sonicbooms] making the area completely collapse killing the dragon from mere shocks.

I watched the place fall apart waiting for it to halt and after some time i could finally descended.

"This sure a really big Dragon. Not like it'd last that long here anyways, thanks for this feast" i used absorption on the dragon and took really long to finish.

"I'm never gonna get used to this feeling"

But it was worth it in the end, not only it increased my mana capacity 5 times but i obtained new skills again.

[Limited-Spatial Manipulation] [Dimensional Storage] [Spatial Severance] [Spatial Barrier]

"sounds really convenient that i feel like i'm cheating"

Staring at the ruins i made, you wouldn't thought there was a big nest here at all. 

I left the place. 

The whole thing sure wore me out so i tried looking for a place to settle at. 

After finding one, im also getting a little hungry.

my absorption let's me devour anything i want, unfortunately it won't fill my stomach up. 

I tried catching fish from the body of water i found few days ago. 

Luckily there are some otherwise I'd starve to death here. 

Just when i had a 2nd chance to live.

I filled my belly up and went for a little nap. 

I woke up and continued looking for an exit. 

It's been probably days the last time i saw the sun. 

On my exploration i finally found a door.

"This should be the exit huh"

I opened the elegantly designed door made of steel and entered. 

However what found there wasn't an exit. 

— on the other side of the world —

One of my brethren died? What kind of person could've done this.

Uttered by a creature lurking in the darkness only revealing it's glowing purple eyes. 

— back to the Dungeon —

As i entered the door, it's not an exit i found but instead. 

A person. A female. As it seems that she's being held prisoner here or something like that however not a normal imprisonment. 

As she's completely sealed on the wall only revealing her head to her collarbone. 

However that's enough to know how beautiful she was. 

A female with white hair and pretty golden eyes.

I couldn't do a thing but admire her until she herself spoke. 

"hey... that commotion from earlier.

You're the cause right?"
