Chapter 30:

Time 2.5

Assassins Who Cleanse Sins Away

Seven: “Huh?!”

Shadow: “Looks like you had quite a trip.”

He noticed that it is nightfall and only the entire day went by while he was gone.

Seven: “Was I gone the whole day?”

Henry: “Pretty much.”

After processing what has happened to him, he tells the group what happened in the past. Once the group hears about what happened Zachary and Tom started laughing about Henry.

Zachary: “I would pay money to see Henry with long hair.”

Tom: “So would I.”

Seven: “Why did you cut your hair? You actually look better with long hair.”

Henry: “I was going through a phase at the time.”

Violet: “I wouldn’t pay money for that I would pay money to see Meadow smile.”

Angel: “Now that’s money worth spending.”

Shadow: “I know right I always wonder what he looked like smiling.”

Macy: “The only one that knows is the boss and now Seven.”

He blushes when Macy said his name.

Seven: “Not just me but Henry knows too.”

Henry: “It surprised me I believed that he wasn’t capable to smile.”

After a while, Seven is taking a shortcut to go back home and he spots Christiana looking at the ocean at her’s and Meadow’s secret spot.

Seven: “Christiana? What are you doing here?”

Christiana: “Little boy?”

They both are looking at the ocean.

Seven: “Hey...”

Christiana: “Whatever you want to say to me say it already.”

Seven: “I wanted to tell you to watch your back and keep your guard up in the past. I didn’t want you to go through what you did as that psycho’s sex slave. Especially when I found you and he was going to kill us both. That day was the first time I was ever terrified in my life. When I tried to tell you, you stopped me from telling you about the Black Market.”

He was shaken from remembering the time they met then Christiana walks up to him and kisses him on the cheek which completely surprised him.

Christiana: “Thanks for saving my future and my child’s.”

Seven’s face turns red.

Seven: “Wha?! Why did you do that?!”

Christiana: “It was a thank you.”

Seven: “Oh!” He touches the cheek that she kissed. (Thinking: “I never thought I would get a peck on the cheek from Christiana.”)

Christiana: “Like I told you before it’s best to remember the bad memories because sometimes it can build you as a person. You do realize that if you told me about my abduction we would have never met.”

Seven: “Oh...”

Christiana: “And all those people that my group had assassinated would still be alive.”

Seven: “That would also mean that you wouldn’t meet your friends as well.”

Christiana: “What makes you think that they are my friends?”

Seven: “Well I can tell besides aren’t we friends?”

Christiana: “I can only tolerate you.”

Seven: “So in other words yes.”

Christiana: “You're wondering why I’m here well I have come here every night since Meadow left. I came here before we went on our honeymoon it was one of the spots in the city to see the city shine.”

Seven: “Oh.” (Thinking: “She doesn’t want to admit we’re friends.”)

Christiana: “We weren’t exactly intimate during our honeymoon.”

Seven: “I’m afraid to ask why.”

Christiana: “My period came on that first morning.”

Seven: “Oh.”

Christiana: “All we could do at night was drink wine and play cards.”

Seven: “Let me guess Meadow wanted to play strip card games.”

Christiana: “Let’s just say Meadow is a sore loser.”

Seven: “Oh! He must’ve hoped that you’ll strip but instead, he stripped.”

Christiana: “We ended up playing cards until about almost three in the morning. He pretty much got tired of losing so we went to bed.”

Seven: “Sounded like he was trying to win well more like wanting you to get naked.”

Christiana: “He’s a horny wolf beast he can’t help himself.”

Seven: “More like a huge pervert when it comes to you.” She looks down at her stomach touching it. “You miss him, don’t you?”

Christiana: “Yes.”

Seven: “I could tell in the past how much you two mean to each other. Do you mind if I?”

He touches her arm and has a premonition of Christiana and Meadow are back together and Christiana’s pregnant stomach is showing.

Christiana: “Our baby I feel the baby kicking.”

He touches her stomach feeling the baby kicking.

Meadow: “Don’t worry I won’t leave you and your mother like that ever again I promise.”

He kisses Christiana’s stomach and then kisses her lips.

Christiana: “Meadow, I love you.”

Meadow: “I love you too.”

They share another kiss and the premonition ends.

Seven: “He’ll be back before the baby is born.”

Christiana: “Really?”

Seven: “Yes it’ll be about when you have the baby bump.”

She smiled gently.

Christiana: “Good I wouldn’t want to give birth to my child without my Meadow.”

They continue to look at the city shining so bright like rhinestones.
