Out Of The Shadows

Ene jumped into the debris and grabbed Ane before backing up with a frown as a hand of flame grasped where they were a few seconds before. The shadow sighed as it faintly appeared in the darkness Ane came from. "What the hell is that?" Ene asked as he landed on a bridge not too far from the shadow.

"How did...a simple kick send me ALL the way here in an instant?" Ane inquired as he stepped away from Ene.

"It's simple actually. The entire time you were walking uselessly you were under my illusion. When I got tired of you I stepped out." the shadow explained. Ane frowned.

"So you were toying with me!" he yelled. The shadow sighed in response.

"Now will you weaklings get lost?" he asked dryly.

"Weaklings?" Ene asked as flames wrapped around his fists. "I'm the Prince Of Flame you idiot!" he yelled arrogantly glaring at the shadow.

"Oh? Well this is truly a pain indeed." the shadow said with a yawn before staring right at the teens.

"I tried to scare him off but it had the opposite effect." Ene thought; clenching his teeth.

"Why don't you step out of those shadows so I can see your face!" Ane yelled as he shot forward.

"Ane no! This guy's no weakling!" Ene warned.

"Red Elemental Style: Strength Adjustment X2!" Ane shouted.

"This is bad." Ene thought.

"I know!" Ane finally responded before punching the wall which immediately cracked to then fall apart. Ane jumped back with a grin. "I just wanted the bastard out of the darkness." he said as he stood next to Ene who sighed.

"You had me worried there." Ene remarked. The shadow landed on the bridge as the debris casually fell around them to then eye the teens.

"Do you think Ane will accept me back after what I've done?" Eina asked as she and Lana walked through a hallway.

"I'm sure he will. It's Ane we're talking about here. He'll forgive you sooner or later." Lana replied. Eina nodded slowly.

"Take a right from here." PI's voice commanded from Eina's suit. The girls did as they were told.

"I'm still impressed you created your own A.I." Lana said smiling.

"Oh; it's nothing." Eina denied while scratching her head and blushing.

"Tsk. Even you're betraying us PI?" a feminine voice asked. Lana and Eina looked ahead of them to see Levy; the girl who located Lana's space pod standing there looking pissed.

"Levy." Eina said frowning.

"Don't speak my name you filthy traitor! How dare you betray S.O.I.T!" Levy remarked.

"What I do has nothing to do with you. Move aside." Eina said.

"Don't insult me." Levy said as she rose her hand causing the ground to break as a washing machine surrounded by a pink aura shot through it forcing Lana and Eina to dodge.

"What the heck?" Lana asked.

"Levy. She is a magic element but she doesn't have most of the powers her element usually provides. She has some like levitation and telekinesis." PI explained.

"So she's lame?" Lana inquired.

"I AM NOT LAME!" Levy yelled pouting.

"While she can't do much attacks, she's mastered most of those she has." PI continued. Eina frowned and Levy eyed her coldly.

Debris fell from the darkness and the shadow landed to then eye the duo who frowned back. A young man with black hair that over hanged over his forehead, silver eyes, a plain shirt, a gray pants and a strap around his upper body seemed to formulate from the shadow; body slanted lazily. "What a pain." he complained; yawning. Ene eyed up to see a black staff with golden ends spinning towards him and he rose his fist to strike it.

"Watch it!" Ane yelled as he pulled Ene back while also backing away. The staff struck the ground; shattering some metal. Ene stared at this shakily and then watched the man who's back the staff then flew onto.

"Its no wonder Ane couldn't beat this guy alone. He has two elements and not to mention THAT weird staff." Ene thought while clenching his teeth.

"What a drag." the man said again; picking his ear.

"Ane, we have to take on this guy together." Ene remarked; turning to Ane who then nodded.

"A two on one fight, huh. Hardly seems fair for you." Ane then said as he looked at his opponent.

"One? Me and my weapon are separate beings." the man said as the staff spun around him to then return to his back as he slanted his body to then wrap his hand around the weapon.

"That explains a lot." Ane thought frowning.

"Ane; you destroy that staff and I'll take down this guy." Ene said; cracking his neck.

"How come you get the stronger enemy?" Ane asked; eying Ene.

"I won't be able to defeat this guy alone but you seem to know more about that staff than me." Ene explained.

"So I'll join you after then?" Ane asked as he stepped forward.

"That's the plan." Ene answered as he rose his fists. Their enemy sighed and Ene frowned before thrusting forward as his legs spat flames. The staff spun into the way but Ane kicked it up as he sped past Ene. Ane then grabbed the side of the bridge and swung into the air while Ene thrusted to the side of the bridge and pounced on the lazy villain. Ene fired a punch which his opponent calmly avoided to then fire a punch into Ene's stomach but Ene shielded himself with his arms. Flames spread about and Ene skidded backwards

"Who are you?" the villain asked.

"Like I said before, The Prince Of Flame." Ene answered as his aura surrounded him. "Now that I've introduced myself yet again; who the hell are you!?" he continued.

"My name is Finn." his opponent answered dryly with a sigh.

Ane casually flew across the staff. "A mind of it's own huh." he commented while inspecting the staff from a safe distance. It spun around and shot at him and he ducked. The weapon shot from the back; hitting him. Ane frowned and fired a kick at the weapon but the staff spun around his leg and smacked itself upwards into his chin. Ane fired several attacks but the staff easily evaded them all. Ane groaned. "How am I supposed to fight a weapon!" he yelled; eyes twitching to then look at the staff angrily. Ene stood across Finn frowning and Lana and Eina eyed the pissed off Levy.

A figure silently sat on a chair in the dark and another figure walked to the first. "Conner, it seems he has resumed using his powers." the second silhouette stated in a male voice. The other figure chuckled. "It also seems he's fighting Finn." the second figure continued.

"It's okay then. Everything should work out fine. Let the two fight; I'll go meet him later." Conner remarked; laughing heartily to then cough. The second figure handed him water and he silently accepted it.
