Training With Ordinal Call

 3 weeks later

As the group journeys for the tomb of the just, they encounter a village called Ruild. “Wow this place looks old timey.” Leo said. “Shut up Leo. It’s rude to say that.” Suki says. “Welcome to the Ruild inn. Room for 3?” The desk manager asks. “Yes please.” Leo said. As the 3 go to their room they set everything down, open a window and Chozen flies in. “I’ve been scouting the tomb and there's Nighteyes camping around it.” Chozen said. “Damn it. So we gotta fight our way to this shield. We gotta strategize this.” Soichiro said. “I have an idea.” Soichiro said. “What is it?” Everyone asks. “What we can do is have me and Chozen fight the Nighteyes from the front, Suki takes them from the left, and Leo takes them from the right.” Soichiro explained. “If me and Suki are taking the sides then why doesn’t Chozen take the back?” Leo asks. “Me and Chozen have to fight them from the front because Chozen has to protect the door entering the tomb while I’m in it. And if they come from the back they’ll either divert to the sides or go over the tomb to the front.” Soichiro explained. “Makes sense.” Leo replied. “Soichiro, I suggest that you experiment with the ordinal call skill you learned.” Chozen said. “Yea I should.” Soichiro replied.

Soichiro and Leo explore the inn and they find a training room with dummies and bamboo stacks. “This seems like a good place to train.” Soichiro said. Leo checks outside the room and once he confirms no one is there he locks the door. Soichiro summons the sword of the wise and the soul blade, touches the bottom together and says “Ordinal call connect armament” and the bottoms of the swords fuse. Leo sets up pieces of bamboo around Soichiro. Soichiro crouches and spins the double bladed sword above his head cutting the bamboo. “Good. Now try to cut the bamboo by slashing instead of spinning.” Leo instructs Soichiro. Soichiro puts the blade to his hip and moves his hip, slashing a few pieces of bamboo, Soichiro then slashes upwards with the bottom of the blade . “Not bad. Seems like you have the hang of it.” Leo said. “Yea. Now set up more bamboo cause I’m gonna try something else.” Soichiro said. As Leo sets up the bamboo Soichiro disconnects the blades, holds the swords together in both hands and says “Ordinal call: Fuse Armaments.” Nothing happens. Soichiro the puts away the soul blade and summons the blade of the mystic. Soichiro holds the swords together in both hands and says “Ordinal call: Fuse Armaments.” The swords glow and turn into one sword. “Holy shit. That actually worked.” Soichiro thought. Soichiro swings the blade around, feeling its weight. Soichiro then slashes bamboo with the new blade. “The way this sword swings feels so weird yet so fast.” Soichiro thought. “How’s the blade Soichiro?” Leo asks. “It feels nice.” Soichiro said. Soichiro puts both hands on the sword and says “Ordinal Call: Unfuse Armaments.” The sword glows and turns back into the sword of the wise and the blade of the mystic. “Let’s call it a night Leo.” Soichiro said.

Middle of the night

“Hear me shinigami.” A mysterious voice said. Chozen suddenly wakes up and looks around the room making sure everyone is asleep. Chozen then flies out the room window and goes up to the clouds. Chozen suddenly finds himself in a dark place with grey skies and bones all around. “What the hell? Why am I back in the shinigami realm?” Chozen wondered. Chozen sees other shinigami around him and the shinigami king Daigo sitting on a black and gold throne. “Attention all shinigami. As you may know a human managed to kill one of us. This person is someone who has the power to kill me causing our extinction. I now give all the shinigami white arrows. These arrows will move at the speed of light and will kill with one shot. The white arrow will kill and disintegrate one person at a time and takes 0.1 second to be used again. That is all for now.” Daigo stated. Chozen suddenly finds himself in the clouds again and notices a white ring around his hands. He flies back to the room and falls back asleep acting like nothing happened.
