Chapter 9:

Putting Louis under Hypnosis

Narrating a Moron in Tokyo

"You're getting sleepy... Sleepy..." Hoshiko's voice resonated in the deserted lab.

"Not working." responded Louis, planted on a chair with a stern face.

Ah yes... Another day, another story. And today in the fantastic world of "Narrating a Moron in Tokyo" we have... Shukumei Hoshiko!

"Shut up!"

And... Louis Buissy !

"It's impossible Hoshiko ! Even if it was, the invisible bastard wouldn't help."

It was a Friday when Hoshiko decided on a new project : The use of hypnotism on the not-so innocent mind of Louis. It seemed like an abrupt decision at first. However she was more insistent and aggressive on this project than any over before.

"You say that but I only saw a love potion and nothing else..."

"Are you disrespecting my status as a scientist?! I am a master of every domain of science!" Hoshiko's voice rose sharply. A glimmer of sadism in her eyes told Louis that what she wanted was more than what seemed to be.

"It's time to use plan B".

"I don't like the sound of that! You can't hypnotize me! It's literally impossible without my consent!" Louis jumped from his chair. Once again going for the door ! Aaaand he failed. He really should keep a spare key.

"You see... According to declassified documents from the CIA. It is possible to brainwash anyone. You just need the right method." a small smirk formed on Hoshiko's face. To think I, the narrator, almost fell in love with her... I certainly dodged a bullet...

"Huh?! Ya want me to kill you?"

Hoshiko took Louis by the collar and brought him back to the chair. With one push of a button, metal wraped his wrists, ankles and neck. Completely strapping him on his seat.

...

3 hours later

...

"Finally ! You're in a hypnotic state ! AHAHAHAHAH"

Hoshiko was now in full control over Louis mind. And it was not some wanky realistic mind control. No... It was the worse kind of hypnosis. One which enabled the user to manipulate it's subject at will... Implanting suggestion and turning them into full-fleshed part of their personality. One shudders to imagine what inhuman thoughts lied behind Hoshiko's mind. But it was nothing short of terrifying to use these kinds of methods.

"You see Louis, since we've been together, since the love potion incident, you have been nothing but insulting to me... I've never been able to experience your soft side nor have my heart skip a beat at your actions... But still, you should be loving me just as much as I love you... So what is it? Timidity?"

"No."

"Are you, perhaps, scared of giving me gifts or acting lovey-dovey?"

"No."

"Maybe you just want to look tough no?"

"No."

"Tell me."

"I don't know..."

Ah... The ways of our hearts are complicated it seems. Sometime, even under strong hypnosis, one can't define their feelings nor the reasons for their actions. Or in this case, their inactions...

"Well not anymore. Louis ! From now on you will be more romantic with me... You want to rain me with gifts... Show me your love..."

Hoshiko... I don't want to interrupt but you sound really pathetic right now...

"You cannot comprehend me. Let me force this in his mind and we'll wait for the drugs to disappear from his system..."

I don't want to alarm you but this is my protagonist, I need to know how long it'll take before he stops being a vegetable.

"I don't want to alarm you but if I didn't invent an invention to kick your 4th dimensional ass out of existence yet it's because you're not that much of an annoyance. Kapiche?"

...

1 week later

...

"Welp that didn't work."

Hoshiko was, once again, in her lab reminiscing about her hypno experience one week prior. However, since then, she could not see any result though Louis behavior. Maybe she didn't use enough drugs on him?

"That was just an enormous waste of time it seems..." Hoshiko's mind fastened, letting her convergent thinking do it's job : Finding out why it didn't work.

Meanwhile Louis was completely confused at what I said. It was normal after all, he didn't have any memories of what happened that day. As long as he was concerned, this was just one of Hoshiko's normal rumbling about a failed experiment. Something oddly regular for this arrogant scientist.

Louis took this opportunity to get out of the room and get something. However, something felt off. Even Hoshiko was beginning to wonder what he was bringing since she began hearing students being surprised and calling out Louis.

"This is weird. Was my experiment actually a success?"

'This is... Red'

When the door opened, Louis didn't appear, instead a giant bouquet of red roses presented itself.

'God...'

"Hoshiko, let me show you my love with this gigantic 2000 roses bouquet!" Louis finally pocked his head inside the room.

"What an idiot."

"Eh?"

"Hum hum... I'm sorry... While I do appreciate this kind... gesture my darling. I feel obligated to make you aware of something..."

"Yes?" Louis calmed down rapidly.

"This is a more of a curse than a blessing... A poisoned chalice if you will... Just... Where do you think I can put these?"

"In a giant vase you dummy!"

"I don't have one !"

"Don't mind the small details..."

Hoshiko let out the biggest sigh I ever saw. No one could rival the exhaustion that she felt.

"Could you put down the bouquet and sit on this chair right here pretty please?" Hoshiko's fake smile convinced Louis. God... What a relationship...
