Chapter 2:

My Stalker Junior

My Obnoxious Little Junior

Upon arriving at my classroom, I glanced around the room for any empty seats that seemed relatively nice to get out of everyone's line of sight and since the ones that allowed such a thing were the seats in the back, those were the first ones I checked.

Luckily, there was still one seat in the far back and seeing as how the rest of the students had yet to arrive, I felt like I needed to grab it before anyone else could.

"Safe..."

I let out a sigh of relief upon taking a seat and as I put on my headphones, I did a quick glance around the room and saw that there were quite a few students whom I had already shared a classroom with in my first year.

"As long as she's in a different classroom, everything should be fine"

I knew that such a thing was almost impossible since those who passed the first year would most likely end up in the same classroom as their fellow classmates, but even then, I clung to that slight chance.

As more and more people started entering the classroom, in the midst of them, I saw the one person I didn't want to be with.

Shiba Akemi walked inside the classroom and just like always, she took one of the front seats just like the good honor student that she was.

Seeing this, I threw on my headphones and simply gazed out the window "I guess this year is going to be the same as last year... But at least I don't have to worry about being bullied and what not... Or at least I think"

A sigh escaped my breath and as I stared out the window, I could feel a few gazes on me and to be even more precise, the gazes of those who knew about the entire situation.

"As long as they don't do anything, I should be fine"

After a while of just waiting, our teacher came in, introduced herself and started giving us the whole rundown of the school year, as well as the whole introduction aspect.

When my turn came, I did receive quite a few glares from those who had heard about the situation and on top of that, I could feel Akemi's gaze on me.

But even then, I didn't falter. Regardless of how scared I was about what could happen, I couldn't afford to take a long break just like I had on the last portion of my first year.

With all of that out of the way, the entire curriculum was given to us, questions were asked, and other meaningless things were said throughout the first half and before I knew it, lunch was upon us.

I stood up from my seat and headed out the door almost instantly. I couldn't stay in that place for another second, not with her being there as well.

"I should probably head towards the usual spot..."

Just when I was going to start heading towards the rooftop to have my lunch, I felt a set of eyes on me, I looked back, but there was no one there.

"Weird..."

I continued walking for a bit more and once again, I felt the same thing, but just like the first time, there was no one looking my way.

I shrugged my shoulders and continued onward and every time I felt a gaze on me, I would look back only to find other students walking out and about.

"Why am I acting so paranoid? There's no one watching me"

Upon arriving at the rooftop, I took a seat and laid back against the fencing without a care in the world. I had yet to partake of my lunch since Reiko had told me that she wanted to spend lunch together. I was against the idea since I wanted her to have a normal life in high school, but she insisted that she was enjoying her first day.

"Why won't she learn that being with me isn't the best idea in the world?"

"I wouldn't say that it's a bad idea, Tadao-senpai~"

"Huh?!"

I quickly stood up and noticed that the same girl whom I had talked with at the assembly was standing before me with a bento in hand.

"Why are you getting scared like that? It makes me think that you're scared of me~"

"I kind of am..."

"What was that?"

"N-Nothing" "Crap! I let that out just like that!"

I took in a few deep breaths and decided to focus on her since I didn't know how she had found me and why she was there "Did you know I was here?"

"I would have to be a clairvoyant or something like that to know that you were here, don't you think?"

I stared at her for a bit and as her gaze met mine, I felt something similar from it "Wait..." "Were you following me?"

"H-Huh? What makes you say that?"

"Just answer the question"

"H-How would I have known that you were coming here when I didn't even know which classroom you were in?"

"I guess you have a point..."

Just when I had said that the door to the rooftop opened once more and the figure of my little sister came through, but instead of directing her words to me, she turned towards the girl in question.

"Yuki, I thought we were going to go pick my brother up!"

"H-Huh?"

"Yuki...?"

My sister turned towards me and then back at the girl called Yuki "Oh, you were already here, brother?"

"Yeah, but first of all... Who's this stalker?"

"S-Stalker?!"

"That's Takara Yuki. We were together all throughout middle school and now we're in the same class here"

"You're not going to dismiss the fact that Tadao-senpai called me a stalker?!"

My sister turned towards Yuki and sighed "Ever since I told you that my brother was here in the same school, you've seen awfully excited. I wouldn't put it behind you if you decided to follow him and what not"

"I-I would never do such a thing!"

"Yeah, yeah. Besides, as soon as I told you which class he was in, you were already gone" She turned towards me and pointed at Yuki "Did you feel anyone staring at you as you were making, you're way here, brother?"

"Yeah, I did"

"It was her most likely"

"I didn't know you had stalker friends"

"Would the both of you stop attacking me, please?!"

After that small back and forth, the both of them sat down and the girl proceeded to introduce herself "My name is Takara Yuki and I've been friends with Reiko ever since middle school and I've heard quite a bit of her in regard to you, Tadao-senpai"

When I heard her say that my gaze turned towards Reiko, but she simply shook her head "She was the one who helped me out when I told her about what had happened to you"

"So... She knows?"

"I do and I'm very sorry about the fact that I was told such a thing without your consent"

The girl started bowing at me and I could immediately tell that she was being serious there. She genuinely sounded like she didn't mean it and seeing as how she wasn't treating me differently, it made me think that she didn't think what had happened was the truth and it was simply a farce made up.

"I see..."

"What happened to you was the worst thing that could've happened to anyone and from everything that Reiko told me and what I saw, you aren't the type of person to do such a thing"

"Wait... Saw?"

"She was in the same class as me, brother. She knew who you were in middle school"

"Oh right, I forgot" "Did I ever talk to you, Yuki?"

"N-No... We never did. It was mostly me just seeing you, that's all"

"Professional stalker, don't you think?"

"Would you stop with that?!"

Before I knew it, the both of them were messing around with one another, but even then, the sole fact that she knew me made me feel slightly bad about myself.

"I would have definitely recognized someone like her back then... I wonder why I can't remember ever seeing her"

"Regardless..." Reiko let out a sigh and pulled out her bento box "Let's get to eating before it's time to head back"

"Yeah, let's eat~!"

With that, the both of them sat down and the three of us started eating without a care in the world, but even then, I couldn't help but remind myself about what I had told myself back in the gym.

"I told myself that I wouldn't want to interact with her because of her personality, but I guess that's going to be impossible from now on"

I let out a chuckle and simply found myself deep in thought about all the things I would be dragged into because of the stalker junior right beside me with her lively personality in contrast to my sour personality that had also given up on interacting with others ever again.
