Chapter 5 (In the pyramid)

A Gammian spaceship landed on the surface of the inhabited planet. The Gammians have named it Orion-C-1. The spaceship landed near the pyramids of Orion-C-1. The spies including Zeya and Lora, the scouts including Xuron and the troop of commander Koed, all came out of the spaceship. The planet had a dense atmosphere with deadly gasses. So, they had to wear special suits.

After landing, Lora said to Zeya "Another mission with you and me" Zeya didn't respond a word. He was looking at the pyramids. The pyramids were huge in size, built with massive stone slabs and had a perfect geometric shape. Lora felt a little shy as Zeya didn't respond to her fairly. Zeya could notice that in her face. The relationship between Zeya and Lora was strange. They both had a crush on each other but couldn't tell openly because of their security. Zeya didn't want Lora to be known as his girlfriend because he was a spy

The team had to explore the pyramids. Luckily, there were tiny entrances at the front of the Pyramids. But those entrances were so small for Gammians. Zeya could pass through them easily but the Gammians couldn't. So, the Gammians had to open the entrance wider with their laser tools. The Gammians also didn't want to ruin these ancient buildings so they had to do it very carefully.

They went inside the biggest pyramid in the middle. Luckily, the lanes inside the pyramid was wide enough for the Gammians to walk through. Inside the pyramid was dark and misty. They saw many inscriptions of hieroglyphs. These hieroglyphs were the same to those Zeya had seen in the artifact from Taterians' lab. This made the Gammians believed that they were at the right place. But, after walking through the lane inside the pyramid, they didn't find anything at all. The lane was a square shaped trait.

"Are we really at the right place?" Commander Koed said. "Yes, we are," Zeya said and hit the inner wall of the pyramid with his hand. It sounded like hitting a hollow. "See, there's a secret room," Zeya said. Lora smiled and said, "Now, you are smart Zeya"

The Gammians made a hole in the wall, wide enough for them to pass. Then, they got to see the secret room of the Pyramid. The room was golden, probably made with real gold from earth. There was a large quartz chandelier on the ceiling which still emits light. On the golden wall, they saw inscriptions of peoples fighting with advanced weapons, a man stabbing another man and the mark of the Ankh. There was an ark in the middle of the room. Beside the ark, there were two statues of deities. One was a man with the head of a dog, the other was a lady with the legs of scorpions. The statues were about 7 feet tall.

Zeya couldn't keep his eyes away from the wonderful inscriptions and the beauty of the room. "So, this might be the one the Taterains are looking for......" Commander Koed said, and tried to go inside the room. "Wait !!!!" Lora yelled. Everybody looked at her. "There might be some traps, if the builders of these Pyramids could make a chandelier that's still working till these days, they could also make traps that will be still working till these days,'' she said.

She picked a metal ball from her pocket and rolled it inside the room. Suddenly, the eyes of the statues inside the rooms became red and shot many beams at the ball. Everyone was astonished by this scene. Xuron said "That's why the King adds spies in our groups. Well done, Lora" and cheered her. Lora pointed at the heads of the statues and told the troops to shoot them with their guns. And so they did. After that she rolled another ball inside the room but this time, nothing happened. So they went inside the room. Zeya felt bad when he was in thw room.

One of the Gammian from Commander Koed's troop went nearer to the ark, trying to open it. But as soon as he touch the ark, his body turned into ashes. Everyone stepped back. They all got confused.

Xuron said "What the ...? We can see peoples lifting this ark on the inscriptions, why can he lift it?" Commander Koed smiled his freaky face and said "All of the peoples from the inscriptions were humans and a type of aliens. Only they can lift it" and looked at Zeya.

Lora looked Commander Koed in suspecious eyes. "Wait, No No, No, we can't let Zeya lift it. What if he turned into ashes? No, No, I won't agree with this. This is so risky, we can't spare another life," she spoked to him in an angry voice. "You spies are always in a life and death situation !!!! Nobody cares about you !!!" Koed yelled at her. Xuron said "Hey, watch your mouth, Koed. We are a team. We need to respect each other!!"

"You are caring for this alien creature ? You know what, I can't take it anymore, " Koed said and clapped his hands.

Suddenly, his troops surrounded the spies and scouts and began to shoot them. The spies and the scouts were unprepared for this sudden attack. 

Zeya shot his gun at Koed's face. Unfortunately, it missed him, leaving only a scratch. Most of the unprepared spies and scouts were killed. Some of them including Lora and Xuron got arrested as hostages. Zeya was also caught. Koed's troops aimed the hostages with guns. Koed said to Zeya, "Open the ark, or I'll shoot all of them. I'll start with Lora,". Zeya was in the most pressuring situation......
