Writer on duty

So I was assigned to write the scenario about the Red Riding Hood. I haven't written something in a while so I had to come up with something. I've been thinking for an hour and finally I came up with a different version of Red Riding Hood.

"I will make her an assassin, yeah this will be perfect." I shouted so loud that even my mother heard me.

I started writing the scenario with passion but I was a bit careful, I promised Itsuki to write something good so I wanted the scenario to be well constructed.

The title of the story I named it "The fable" it would be the classic Red Riding Hood but she would live two lives: the life of a cute girl who looks after her grandma and the life of an assassin who kills bad people in order to earn some money for her grandma.

First of all I described Red Riding Hood's suit. She would wear her classic red coat with the hoodie and inside a white dress. But in her assassin personality she would wear a ripped red coat and inside a black dress instead of white.

Subsequently I also described her hair, they would be half black and half white same with her eyes the one would be black and the other white.

The next thing I did was to describe all the other suits from the side characters and finally I proceeded to the narrative and the dialogue.

While I was writing the plotline my phone rang so I decided to answer immediately. It was Itsuki, so how could I not answer.

"Hey, what are you doing?" She asked me.

"I'm writing the plotline, I think I put a lot of effort for the first day."

"Relax, don't overdo it, we still have like two weeks till the play so get some rest." She exclaimed.

"Yeah you are right, tomorrow I will ask the costume club to give some ideas that I want to include in the scenario. Specifically about the suits of the characters

Nice idea, anyway gotta call off, goodnight love."

"Goodnight sweetheart" I said and called off.

Wait, wait, wait, how did she call me and how did I called her?

The following day I went to the costume club and asked their opinion about how I should describe the suit for the grandma and the woodsman.

"Well, something extraordinary I guess, something new and fresh would be cool for the woodsman" The president of the club said.

"Hm, yeah I will think about it" I exclaimed.

"Now for grandma, it should be something traditional so that's a bit easy to think about."

"Yeah I agree, well I will send you the description of the suits at night, so you can start tomorrow preparing them" I averred.

"OKAY" They responded all together.

Subsequently I headed to Itsuki in order to show her what I have written till now.

“It’s pretty good and really dramatic I have to say, I like this version of Red Riding Hood” She asserted.

“Yeah I decided to write something a bit different.”

“Do you really think this role suits me? I mean it’s an alternative version of her so…”

“No, you will be perfect, you got this” I reassured her.

“I will try my best then” She avowed.

After school I went to Hikari’s house. I wanted to show him some of the dialogue that he would be in.

“Hm, I will try my best, till now it seems really good” He exclaimed.

“Yeah but it’s still incomplete.”

“Anyway, do you want to play Mortal Kombat? I have a disposition today for 1v1,” He suggested.

“Okay, okay but don’t cry to me if you lose.”

“I’ll also put on some music, what do you want?” He asked me.

“Eminem would be fine.”

“Hm, excellent choice Amigo.”

We started playing and of course I won ten consecutive rounds. Hikari was almost ready to hit the controller.

“How can you win everytime, I know every single combo tha exists in this game!” He shouted.

“Heh, it's a mystery tactic.”

In reality it was just my power of luck but I always want to seem impressive.

"Nevermind, let's do something else, I don't want to lose more times. I had my share today." He exclaimed.

"Heh, as you wish my friend."

"But mark my words. One day I'll defeat you."

"Let's see if I'll be alive when that happens." I said with a playful tone.

"Oh, you will be. And you will see me beat you live."

"Well, I'll be cheering for you."

After that Hikari proposed to watch some movies in order for me to get some more ideas about the play.

And I must confess that this was a good idea because I indeed got some new ideas.

I wouldn't make the wolf be the villain. I would make the hunter to be.

The Red Riding Hood would join forces with the wolf in order to track down the hunter and kill him as he would be the most dangerous person out there.

After they manage to kill the hunter the wolf will betray the Red Riding Hood because he wants all the money for himself and after an excessive fight she will kill the wolf and with the money she collected she and her grandmother will get out of this village.

But this plot mostly fits for a movie. How will we put it in a play?

"Hey, hey, are you okay? Why did you suddenly space out?" Hikari asked me.

"Ah, it's nothing. I just found an idea about the play."

Thus I spoke my idea to Hikari who seemed to really like the current plot.

"I like the plot more now. And don't worry about yhe fighting scenes. Leave it to me."

"Are you sure about that? I could help you a bit."

"No, no, I said leave it to me. You have other things to take care of. We will talk when I have finish my choreography." He said and started pushing me outside the house.

"If you need something tell me."

"Okay, I will." He said and closed the door as soon as I got out.

What was this all about? Why was he so damn happy about that?

Eh I guess I'll find out soon enough.
