CHAPTER ONE NOWHERE

The air felt cold and dry the sun hidden by numerous clouds in the sky. I walk in an empty street that leads to “nowhere” as I am heading nowhere to do nothing, nothing of importance that is. As nothings important to me anymore not since that hellish day the day when it all came to an end, the end of reality the beginning of madness .The day when unknown beasts, nightmares and monsters crawled out of the abyss and into our world . The day when Danny Kusho came to an end or rather the Danny Kusho that was meant to be, that I should have been came to an end, in his place an empty shell remains that’s what I am but that doesn`t matter nothing does it’s all just nonsense

I walk in an empty street that leads to “nowhere” dressed in a high school uniform as though it’s only natural for me to be in one. That’s’ right I’m in a high school uniform,’ but I wasn`t heading to school I was heading “nowhere” and there it was in the centre of this empty street a door to “nowhere”

“Nowhere” the meetings place for the nine stars, the nine most powerful people of this world of ours this world overrun with mistakes like me.

What was I going to do at “nowhere?”

Was it something of importance?

All of these questions none of them mattered nothing did it`s all just nonsense after all. I reached out my hand opened the door and walked into “nowhere”

As I walked in I happened to hear a familiar voice laughing almost as though laughing at me, it was someone I knew someone I wish I didn`t know it was Cat the great spirit of gluttony one of seven true legendary spirits. I turned my head and met this catastrophic beasts gaze staring into her deep red crimson eyes, her long straight black hair stretched to the bottom of the flaw like a neat little river on her head a river covered in black made of black a river of black and tying this outfit up with a plain black sundress that went wonderful with her theme black everything about her felt black.

“Myahaahaa!”Cat laughed. “You’ve got the wrong idea boy it’s not as though I’m laughing at you I really am laughing at you and I`m not cat I`m Taiga!!

“All this talk of nonsense are you "Ii-chan", you`re "Ii-chan" aren`t you.” She said.

I`m not "Ii-chan" the names Danny Kusho cat you know that.” I said while letting out an exhausted sigh.

“So why are you late boy you better have a good reason— she wagged her tail side to side “otherwise I’ll kill you.”

“Oh the reason I`m late that would be because,” I said nonchalantly while rubbing my hand against the sheathed sword at my hip, “on my way here a meteorite happened to be falling from the sky and I—”

“If you`re going to lie boy”—she grabbed my face —“at least make it believable maybe I should KILL YOU!!”

KILL YOU, KILL YOU, KILL YOU, KILL YOU, KILL YOU, KILL YOU KILL YOU, KILL YOU, KILL YOU, KILL YOU, KILL YOU, KILL YOU, KILL YOU KILL YOU, KILL YOU, KILL YOU, KILL YOU, KILL YOU, KILL YOU those words echoed deep within my soul I couldn’t breathe….

“If you’re going to lie to me boy then you deserve death!” she said waging her tail back and forth.

I could feel the murderous intent in her eyes like a cat staring down its prey, a cat about to pounce. In essence a true cat

“I`m not Cat, I’m Taiga!!!” She said, “your narration pisses me off it’s like you`re doing this on purpose just to piss me off.”

“No not at all.”

“HUH!?”Cat said, “You’re not!!”

“Not at all”

“Then tell me why do all your inner monologues of me, end with Cat this and Cat that it pisses me off”. Cat said, “And more importantly why do all my dialogue lines end with Cat said instead of Tiger said!?”

“Those are all very important questions maybe you should talk to the animators or producers”

“What the hell are you rumbling on about?” Cat said.

“You’re the one who`s been rumbling on and wasted most of this chapter stupid cat”

“You know like the studio behind our animation production, I sure hope its studio shoft or if were lucky A1 scriptures.”

“It`s not an anime idiot it’s a novel, a low quality one at that.” Cat said as she clicked her tongue. "Tsk!”

“Don’t you think that’s a bit too harsh a review it`s not that bad?”

“Huh!? Cat yelled, “it`s not that bad you say— myahaahaa —you’re joking right the world, the characters, the lore, the writing. Hell even basic laws of English grammar it’s almost as though the author is trying to flop

It’s only chapter one don’t you think it`s too early to be calling the novel a flop.”

“No actually it`s too late for it to redeem itself —Cat said— as she sat down. She begun to sigh and draw with a nearby stick she picked up from the ground.

“Is it really too late?”

“Yeah it’s too late,” Cat said, “To better help you understand our current situation take a look at this drawing.

“Drawing?” I said. “You had enough time to do a drawing.”

“Basically chapter ones are like races, you start by running full speed ahead capturing the audience’s attention and refusing to let go thus being an entertaining novel for the reader,” she said, “in the event that you trip and fall you could always get up and try again however —

“However what?”

“ In our case the author somehow managed to start the race by falling face first onto the floor and self-combusting!” Cat said.

“What exactly is our novel made of!?”

“Azidoazideazide!” She said.

“There’s no way it`s made of such an explosive!!” I yelled, “just what kind of runner is our novel in this race!?”

“leaving the audience as well as the competition completely puzzled as to what’s happening.” She sadly pointed out.“As things are only one thing can save this damned novel that would be—”

“Yes”

“Changing the monologue and dialogue to Taiga when am speaking or when my character is being mentioned that is. “She took a moment to dramatically pose.” How we will save this sinking ship.” Cat exclaimed vibrantly smiling and raising her hands to the sky.

“This whole thing was just about you being unhappy with being called Cat!” I said, “I couldn`t help but be a little mad, so that stuff about you wanting to kill me was that all part of your rant how annoying.”

“Hmm?” She said, “Part of my rant no when it comes to killing you I was pretty serious about doing that after all you did keep all of us eleven powers waiting and gave me a stupid lie did you think I`d let you off the hook that easy did you?”

“Is that so.”

“Because you listened to me rant I’ll give you a three second head start.” Cat said ,“before I kill you shall we start.”

One.

Two.

Three!

I took in a deep breath, knowing full well that the only chance I stood was if I drew it that sword at my hip.

I`ll begin by condensing all the magic in the atmosphere concentrate it focus it into tip of the blade and cut her down the instance she moves

Crack !!

Crashhh!!!

The ground begun rumble and tumble as the magic gathered around me.

“Nice, nice, nice! That’s it. Burn protect that precious life of yours.” She said as she let out a huge release of her own magical energy causing the air to vibrate.

And suddenly without warning it came to an end with just a single sound

Clap clap!!

Someone else had just arrived swiftly, easily and effortlessly stopping our fight, with just the clap of her hands. A cute little middle school girl with a cute little pink bag who for all intents and purposes appeared ordinary but was for all intents and purposes not ordinary she was an even scarier monster than that black cat the scariest worst of all monsters an ordinary HUMAN…

“That`s enough you two,” the little girl said grinning at the both of us.” We were all willing to let you both blow of some steam for a bit but, if both of you unleashed attacks like that I`m afraid “nowhere” might not handle it.”

“Now then shall we all go attend the meeting.” she said with eerie long grin across her face.
