Chapter 7:

Timothy's Wedding

Soulmate Hunting

Since the catfish incident occurred Jack had lost hope. People usually have a rough patch in their lives but for Jack their was no patch his whole love life was doomed. He was getting extremely depressed. So much so that he had thoughts of hurting himself. Timothy's wedding was close and Charles and Jefferey knocked some sense into him so he doesn't spoil everything and helps them.

He, Charles and Jefferey along with Timothy and Christine's families planned out the wedding. Things got so busy so quick he forgot about everything that was happening in his life before the wedding. This wedding was like a gift from god. Although they got engaged before the catfish incident the date for the wedding was at a perfect time to save Jack, save him from doing something terrible to himself. Jack had a smile on his face after pretty long because of pride in their work for Tim's wedding. They called Timothy Tim as a nickname. Everyone in the group had a nickname really. Charles' was Char, Jefferey's was Jeff and Jacks only nickname wasn't them calling him a loner. His real nickname was Jay.

The work that made him proud was the fact that they included most if what Timothy liked as a part of his wedding. In one way or another. Some things in his bachelor party and some in his wedding decor. Timothy liked sports. His bachelor party that they planned included some game time. A basketball court was booked. They'd go to a five star restaurant after that and eat his favorite food, steaks, and drink his favorite drink, alcohol. Other things they added to his weddings were jasmines. For someone with a personality like his this was strange. He loved the way they smelled and luckily flowers were a part of the decor so it was easy including jasmines in the wedding.

On the day of the bachelor party, they played a few games of basketball. Games that got super competitive. They went full try hard on each other. It was soon over and then came the calmer part of the evening. Food and alcohol. No competition, no aggression just a peaceful dinner. They ate and drank until the place closed. When the bill came it was a whopping amount of ten thousand dollars. No one expected it to be that high. But they didn't care much about it. They were so drunk they paid but not with legitimate cash. They were drunk to the point that they confused coupons with money. Coupons not even for the right place. Coupons from random places around town. The waiter was busy cleaning everything before he closed and by the time he came back to take the bill they were already gone. He saw that they left stupid coupons and called the police on them. It wasn't hard to track them. They didn't reach that far. They went till the end of the street and started puking because of the alcohol. That's the condition the police found them in. They were arrested and the next morning when they woke up they were told they were arrested for false payment and fraud. The police new they were so hungover they couldn't even remember what happened and they most probably didn't do it purposefully. So they just asked for the payment, cleared the charges and let them free. They lost their wallets and phones somewhere when they were throwing up from all that alcohol so lucky for them no one they knew was contacted. They agreed to never talk about this again and went to search for their belongings. It was hard for them to find the place at first because they remembered nothing from last night but they saw boards and signs and figured it out. They found all their stuff behind a dumpster. The dumpster was filled with throw up most likely their own. It was a disgusting experience to move it and collect their wallets and phones but it had to be done. This was one hell of a bachelor party which is why it had to be a secret among the friends.

A couple of days after the bachelor party was the wedding. Jack dressed up in his favorite suit, a navy blue one. He wore a white shirt underneath the suit. He looked great. Great enough to attract someone to him but this was Timothy's day. He wanted to spend it entirely with him. Not with some women he didn't know. The four friends got together and drove to the wedding hall. They took Timothy in and the first thing that caught his eye were the jasmines. He smiled in joy and looked at Jack, Charles and Jefferey. He loved them. Both the Jasmines and his friends. Jack went on the stage and stood besides the pastor. Soon afterwards started music and came down the aisle a beautiful woman in a beautiful white dress, Christine. She held her father's hand who was crying because she didn't want her to leave. Not because he didn't like Jack but because Christine was his only child and daughter. Christine, like Timothy, went on the little stage and the pastor married the two. Timothy kissed the bride and an applause and cheers followed. Everyone was happy for them. Jack congratulated Timothy and Christine but did express his disappointment in not being the best man. The best man was Christine's brother because that's what she wanted and Timothy agreed like the good boyfriend he was. The wedding was over. Jack was back to his boring life now.
