Yuan Min's visit

The night passed smoothly, Lan Du left the training Zone with the Xie sisters before it got too late so they could get some rest.But Xie Ying and Xie Jing felt too embarrassed to sleep at night.All they could think of was when Lan Du took them around the training zone and attracting a lot of attention.

When it was morning, Lan Du woke up with a casual expression, but her demeanour was a bit different, she was unusually calm.

'Today...I will meet him in person, not that he would recognise me anyways, bastard left us for years, he probably doesn't even remember what mother looks like'

Lan Du got herself changed up and left for her class.She met up with Xie Jing and Xie Ying on the way there and walked together.

"Did you two have a good sleep?"Lan Du asked with a smile

They both blushed slightly

"mn"They nodded their heads and replied

Lan Du laughed and couldn't help but pinch their cheeks while saying

"its good that you two slept well, lack of sleep will affect a lady's beauty"

She caressed their heads gently and smiled.Then began walking again.The sisters began blushing again, but this time they were more touched than embarrassed.

When they reached the classroom, the other students were oddly excited, Lan Du looked around and most of them seems as if they were waiting for something.

Lan Du cursed in her head, the more popular Yuan Min was, the more she hated him.

Instructor Lu came in and had the class shut up.He didn't sugar coat it, he just shouted "shut up you fools" and the class immediately quietened down.

Qui Shan poked his head forward from behind and asked

"Lan Du, are you excited for today?"He asked

Lan Du smiled and replied

"yes...I'm excited to leave today"She said

Qui Shan was surprised

"Aren't you happy that Colonel Yuan is coming in?"

Lan Du laid back and replied

"There is nothing to be excited for, is he here to take in disciples or get to know you personally?He's just bored and has too much free time so he decided to give a speech to different academies"She said casually

Qui Shan sighed and decided to change the topic, he noticed Lan Du was a bit off today so he talked about the new training zone for trainees.

"Lan Du, did you hear about the new rising star in the training zone?He calls himself Little Devil, I heard he defeated both Solemn and Bear!"Qui Shan said in worship

Xie Jing and Xie Ying giggled when they heard him

Lan Du waved her hand and replied

"Little Devil can't be compared to me, I'm much more handsome"She said with a sly smile

Qui Shan snorted

"How can that be possible, I even heard he has two girls with him around his arm like you...do...um, Lan Du, answer me honestly, what's your nickname in the training zone?"Qui Shan asked nervously

"Little Devil, why?"Lan Du replied with a smile

Qui Shan shivered and back up

"I have met the God of war, please spare me for being ignorant"He joked and said

Lan Du laughed

"Can't forget the God of romance"Lan Du added

Xie Ying and Xie Jing interrupted and said

"no, definitely the God of Playboy"

Lan Du almost fell off her chair, she smiled wryly and scratched the back of her head.But she later placed her hands over their shoulders.

"I may be a playboy but I am a play boy with morals, two beauty is enough for me"Lan Du chuckled and said

Instructor Lu glared over

"You four, shut up, Colonel Yuan is about to arrive"

The four shut their mouths and nodded, but Lan Du growled in her heart.

They then heard a loud clang in the school yard, they poked their heads out the window and saw a giant figure outside.No, not one, there were five!

Each were the height of the academy.

"Why are there mechs here a the academy!"a student shouted

Lan Du glanced out and sneered in her heart

The saw the chest of the mechs open up and five people got out, the one in the centre seemed very familiar.

"Its colonel Yuan!"someone shouted

Everyone began swarming the window to get a close look at the colonel, Lan Du sat quietly at the side without moving an inch away.The colonel waved his hand at the students before having the mechs kneel down so he could get off quickly.

He had four people behind him, all seems to be relatively young and just under the age of twenty.They were the top four recruits of the main army, Ying Hui, Liu Fan, Ming Ming and Aou Ritian.

They arrived in the classroom and waved.

The class got very excited over that and began cheering.Only to receive instructor Lu's deaths tare and shut up.

Colonel Yuan smiled and gestured for them to quiet down.

"Alright, I know you're all excited, I am as well, but my visit today is to give you all a speech, i will answer you questions after if you have any"He said warmly

Lan Du found his words to be disgusting, he is now only just a few minute ride away from home yet he is so calm here.Does he not remember her?

Yuan Min began talking about what the soldiers are like and what recruits like the four beside him has been through in training.He explained what the recruits are expected and ways they can get promoted before even joining the army.

Although Lan Du disliked him, she still listened as it was vital information to have for her, if she wanted to climb ranks, she would need to know every small details about it.

After an hour, Yuan Min stopped talking and began taking in questions.

"Colonel, are there requirements to becoming recruits?"

"Yes, you must be able to at least have a spiritual strength of 120 before entering, your mind needs to be stable"He replied

"How do we check our spiritual strength?"

"We will provide a machine for you"He replied again

Lan Du listened, she has checked her's before a few months back, it was roughly 230 when she 

checked.So she didn't have to worry about the requirements.

Xie Ying and Xie Jing later raised their hands

"Colonel, are there restrictions for women?"they asked in unison

This was a major point, if there was, they would be at a major disadvantage.Colonel gazed over and saw their determination.

"No, you don't need to worry, the army is a relatively free place when it comes to requirements, being male is not one"He said with a smile

They let out a sigh of relief when they heard him, they felt relaxed now they they knew it was fine for them to be there.Lan Du was also happy for them, but she is still unwilling to be a girl there, to raise her ranks, she needs to be vicious there.

She needs to be a soldier that even their own teammates will fear.

Colonel Yuan then turned to Lan Du

"From the moment I stepped in, I felt a strange gaze, there is a hint of hostility, as a veteran, I am quiet sensitive to these gazes so may this student tell me why I feel hostility in your eyes"He said calmly

Lan Du was shocked that he noticed, but thinking back, he is indeed a veteran when it comes to war so these types of things are easy for him.She calmed her heart and and put on a poker face.

"I do so apologise, I don't feel any hostility for you, the colonel, I just had a bad sleep last night so listening to a long speech made it hard for me to concentrate, it gets hard to hold back my gaze when I can't concentrate"She said calmly

Yuan Min furrowed his brows but later relaxed them

"I see, what has troubled this student then?"he asked

The students all turned to Lan Du and looked at her curiously, they wanted to know the reason for her gaze as it was very disrespectful to the colonel to give such gazes.

"Last night, nothing troubled me, I went to the virtual training zone to fool around, and being with these two the whole day is too exciting for a boy my age"she said with a smile as she turned to Xie Ying and Xie Jing.

The boys in the class immediately gave her death stares, to be spending so much time with girls instead of training is one thing, but saying it to a colonel is a complete different matter.

Yuan Min frowned slightly

"It isn't good for students to be fooling around at such a early age, much less in the trainee period for the main army"He said

Lan Du leaned back

"It's fine, instructor Lu can testify that I won't get held back by such small matters"Lan Du said with a relaxed expression.

Yuan Min turned to instructor Lu and smiled

"Instructor Lu, can you testify him?"

Instructor Lu gat out a rare smile and replied

"Yes, indeed I can, Lan Du is the most outstanding student in fact, also Lan Du, I heard you made a big name for yourself in the Trainee stadium as well"He turned to Lan Du and said

Lan Du frowned

"Instructor, I hope that the instructors of this academy is not spying on students, if that is the case, i might need to change my path"She said coldly

Instructor Lu laughed

"Its fine, only I know about what you did, but you surprised me as well, but if you don't want others to know, I can lock your information"He said

Lan Du smiled

"Alright, but...instructor, you didn't happen to also watch what I did after the stadium incident did you?"She asked shyly

Yuan Min was more and more curious about Lan Du at this point.

Instructor Lu smiled and replied

"What?I wonder what you did?Taking two girls at once to the resting zone and teasing them the whole night?"Instructor Lu said with a smile.

Lan Du sighed and turned to Xie Ying and Xie Jing, she had a apologetic look on her face as she said

"I'm sorry, I didn't think the instructor will be watching"She said and tilted he head slightly down.

Xie Ying and Xie Jing was naturally touched, Lan Du apologising showed that she cared for their feelings and didn't want them to get caught up in problems.

The other students were surprised as well, they didn't think the monster of their class will apologise in public.Yuan Min nodded his head and felt Lan Du's actions to be very proper.

'He cares for those around him, he may be a bit arrogant but he still has a heart, old Lu also said he was this class's top student, he is a good child'

Instructor Lu suddenly felt guilty, he forgot that maybe Xie Ying and Xie Jing would feel awkward now that he said it all out loud.He sighed and said

"I apologise as well, I didn't think it through, Lan Du is just too thick skinned so I didn't give in much thoughts"He said

Lan Du slammed the table

"Instructor, increasing my training is one thing, but calling me thick skinned is another!"Lan Du touched the side of her face

"My face is so delicate, how can it be thick..."she mumbled

Everyone heard her although she said it quietly, they almost fell at that point.

'How are you not thick skinned!'

Was the thought that everyone had in their heads.

Instructor Lu chuckled

"And you still say you're not thick skinned?"

Lan Du shook her head

"I'm not thick skinned, but shameless, I have no shame, these are two seperate things"She said proudly

Yuan Min found Lan Du more and more humorous.The four beside him was also holding their hands at their mouths holding back laughter.

Colonel Yuan raised his hand to tell everyone to be quiet.

"Alright, now, Lan Du was it?If I asked you what you did in the stadium, will you answer?"He asked

Lan Du turned to him and replied casually

"Since the colonel asked, I participated in the arena and won a few rounds, thats all"she said

Yuan Min frowned and turned to instructor Lu

"What did he do yesterday?What he said doesn't sound that interesting"he said

"Haiz, Lan Du is playful, he won seven rounds in a row with zero losses, he defeated Solemn and Bear, the two high ranked trainees, and to top it all, he even earned himself a title, Devil of the stadium"He said as he shook his head, but people could tell he was trying to hold back a smile.

Yuan Min nodded

"How'd he earn the title?"

"He...beat up every opponent ruthlessly without giving them a chance to even surrender before he kicks them off the stadium to shame them..."
