Chapter 47:

Babysitting

Ane And His Seames

"So there might be side effects to their fusion?" Lana asked as she, Eina and Lisa were flying.

"Well not because of their fusion exactly but rather the powers they emitted while fused.' Eina explained. Lana tilted her head in confusion. "It's not physical damage...it's mental damage or rather interference." she continued.

"Get to the point." Lisa remarked.

"They might develop a temporary obsession with the power they had. This craving can turn to fear afterwards when they realize it." Eina stated.

"Obsession....huh." Lana thought as they silently continued flying.

"What's the mission anyways?" Eina asked.

"Ane's mission was to "guard" a little kid." Lana replied.

"Do we know anything about this kid?" Lisa inquired.

"Faith said his name is Kerrick Thomas. He's 11 and an elemental. All that she knows is he's a red element." Lana answered as she handed Eina a picture of a young boy with dark brown hair, grey eyes and a scar on his left cheek.

"Hm." Eina replied bluntly.

"We're here." Lisa said as a huge building standing in the ocean became visible. The girls paused and stared.

"It feels really strange without the boys." Eina remarked; sighing.

"I guess so." Lana said; smiling sadly and Lisa remained silent.

The girls landed before Kerrick who stood next to a man with blonde hair and brown eyes. Kerrick looked away as he caught sight of the girls.

"You're all elementals then. Where's the "Ane" teenager?" the man inquired.

"He's in a critical condition that prevents him from doing this mission." Eina answered.

"Okay...I assume I can entrust Kerrick to you..." the man said; bowing before climbing into a helicopter that flew off. Kerrick silently walked away.

"Hey kid! At least greet us?" Lisa yelled.

"So loud." Kerrick complained through clenched teeth. Irritation filled Lisa's face.

"Calm down. He's just a kid." Lana said; eying Lisa.

"I guess so." Lisa remarked; exhaling.

"This is gonna be a drag." Eina complained; sighing.

The girls were in a kitchen; silently sitting. "The boys would have helped themselves to something by now." Eina said; smiling.

"Yeah yeah. We better discuss the matter at hand currently. We have to babysit a snot nosed brat. How are we to entertain him throughout the day?" Lisa questioned.

"It's not babysitting. You're guarding me." Kerrick said as he waltzed in.

"From what exactly?" Lana asked. The glass in the room shattered as men in black jumped in.

"That." Kerrick responded calmly; sipping on a box juice he had just taken. Lisa dashed around the room; taking out enemies everywhere. Eina's trunks were already going around the room as well; crushing some enemies and Lana simply blasted them away with water. The three girls stood there; all men defeated and sighed.

"Wow. The floor's wet and broken now." Kerrick said calmly; sipping his juice.

"No "thank you"?" Lana asked; tilting her head.

"No." Kerrick replied bluntly. Lisa's eyes twitched.

"Listen kid. I don't know what's your problem but I really doubt your dad would like this attitude of yours." Lisa scolded.

"Dad? He's lost in another dimension. The guy earlier was just a slave." Kerrick remarked.

"Slave?" Eina asked.

"That's what I said, yes." Kerrick responded.

"What are your parents'' names?" Lana asked.

"Don't see how that's important but my dad's name is Rick Thomas and my mom's Keke Thomas." Kerrick replied lazily before walking out. "I'll let this vandalism slide." he then called back.

"That brat sickens me!" Lisa yelled; punching a wall. "Ouch!" she exclaimed after moments of silence. The others laughed and she joined in too and then smiled.

A man with dark brown hair wearing shorts and a suit sat on a throne-like structure where he seemed to be asleep. "Excuse me sir." a teen boy said; walking in.

"Hm?" the man mumbled.

"It seems there were some minor setbacks in our attempts to get the kid." the boy remarked. The man opened a dragon eye which gleamed through the shades.

"Setbacks!?" he boomed. The area began vibrating and the boy fell onto his face after. The man exhaled slowly and the area calmed as well. "I won't kill you...yet. What do these minor setbacks entail?" the man inquired.

"Some elemental beings." the boy answered gasping and getting up weakly. The man smiled before licking his lips.

"Interesting." he said before standing up; one eye still opened. He then opened the other which seemed to have a purple gleam.

"Is it time Fabian?" a goofy voice asked from him.

"Yes it is Sabian." the man answered; stepping outside calmly. He placed on a white cape with a dark spiral on it.

Eina, Lana and Lisa sat in a living room using their phones. "How did you two get those?" Eina asked; motioning to the devices.

"We're teenagers. Come on." Lisa replied.

"Ane bought mine." Lana stated. Lisa's eyes became shielded.

"Did he now?" He also bought mine." she said.

"I'd expect no less from the jerk!" Lana yelled; pouting.

"Oh boy." Eina thought; sighing.

"Well at least he got me the newest brand." Lisa boasted.

"He didn't get me it though!" Lana shouted eying her sister angrily who eyed her back smugly. Kerrick ran into the room.

"You slackers!" he screeched.

"How dare you you little..." Lisa began to feel a huge vibration before all the glass in the room shattered. The girls ducked onto the floor.

"Ok; what was that?" Lana inquired; sitting up.

"A major villain! You know, the one you should be protecting me from." Kerrick hissed.

"Tsk; as if." Lisa said walking off.

"Lisa...come back!" Eina yelled. Another vibration was caused.

"There isn't much time." Kerrick said; picking at his nails.

"Let's go." Lana said as she ran out. Eina eyed Kerrick who stared back.

"What?" he then asked. Eina smirked.

Eina was walking out; Kerrick fidgeting as he was being dragged by her. "Let go! Let me go! You boobed bully! RELEASE ME!" he screamed.
